I was taking my son to get his teeth cleaned starting at 2 years old, maybe even a little earlier than that. But my son's first cleanings were here and Dr.Johnathan did an excellent job. Very unacceptable. Dr.smith is very rude and mean to my kid. Just to clarify, my daughter is 7 year old today, and she might react louder than other kids. The first time I felt it was that I walked in right after my daughter finished her first tooth decay treatment, they did not let her bit any gauges.she was full of blood. The second time, I walked in during the treatment, my daughter cried out, the doctor said in a very unfriendly way: hey, you did not cry before your father came in. You are scaring other kids. I was pissed by the dude, but tried to keep my calm, you have no right to educate my daughter like that. Today, when my wife and me were cleaning our house. I told her if I heard that dude says something like that again, I will not let him go away. My wife told me the doctor was really mean to my kid. Last time, when my daughter moved during the treatment, he told (in a very unfriendly way) my daughter it is not accept, because it might hurt him. Are you serious? I totally understand no experts like kids react loud, or no follow the guides. But you are a kids dentist, it is you guys job to calm kids down. I am done with this, and I will file a complaint to the management and medical board. It is not about technique, it is about work ethic. Today I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Johnathan S. Smith who's my son (CJ) new dentist. We recently moved here from Wisconsin and I wanted to be sure CJ has a good dentist as I'm sure he'll need braces in the near future . Dr. Smith and his team exceeded my expectations! The office was presented with such a cheerful atmosphere which displayed colorful air balloons soaring across painted blue sky's. The dental hygienist was patient and explained to CJ each step preformed. I'm very pleased with the service and will for sure spread the word to family and friends. We take both our kids around one year to this clinic at first everything was until we start to pay attention to the EOB that come from insurance and we noticed this clinic over charging for all services for example they told is insurance will not oay for using NITRO but the insurance told us the usage of nitro is included in the plan and its not extra ! Even insurance said they are in network since 2017 and they know all of this pricing details. we respectfully notified the doctor and he apologized and told us the office employee make mistakes and its never happened again ; but again after 6 months when we go for office visit they try to charge extra upfront but when I refuse to pay extra and remind them the last conversation they didn't accept and didn't do the service! Just try to tell who ever use this clinic please read all your EOB its seems pretty common they charge extra with no reason for everyone . read more

Never had such a GREAT experience with kiddos at a dentist before!!!! LEGIT asked him if he would be my adult dentist!! Alas, he said "No way, kids dentistry is waaaaay better! But you're not the first adult to ask me and thank you!" He was so great that my 6 year old daughter, whom he extracted 4 teeth from with only Novocain, said "Mommy it's time for you to be brave about the dentist like I am. See what I just did? That's all you have to do!" Do not go here. Front desk staff is BEYOND rude. The absolute worst attitude. They are absolutely looking to nickel and dime you. Dentist is completely non accommodating. TVs in kids area are broken. Large tv was off so the other kids asked for it to be turned on. Front desk staff literally yelled at him "sit down" and completely ignored his request to put on the tv despite the fact that there were 5 kids waiting in a small area with nothing to do. Highly recommend this location for those with young children that might be nervous or small toddlers that may protest a little. Dr. Jonathan was so kind and patient with both of my children (18 months and 3). He explained every instrument and step to my nervous daughter, and she was able to relax and get her check up without being scared. He was very quick and efficient with my stubborn little one as well. The rest of the staff was polite and helpful from the initial phone call, directing me to online forms (didn't have to fill out anything in office), helping with the exams, and scheduling their next appointment. It is ridiculous how a pediatric dentist can be so lacking care and love for his patients. My brother told me that my niece (just turned 7 today) had 2 teeth decay treatments with Dr. Smith. The first time, her mouth was full of blood after the treatment, they did not give her a gauge to bit or anything. 2nd time, Dr. Smith talked to my niece in a very rude and unprofessional way in front of her dad, my brother chose to stay calm and let it go, but later he heard from his wife that it was not the first time. So my brother contacted the front staff regarding his bad experiences, and the response is even more ridiculous. They said they as the front staff cannot speak for the back staff or Dr. Smith as they were not back there. And they suggest he go to Google to review or talk to Dr. Smith directly. So here we are. We had a great experience. Dr. Johnathan Smith explained the tools he was using in cute ways and made sure our 3 year old had nothing to worry about. The office has a whimsical atmosphere. There are also video games, TV and coffee in the waiting room. During the appointment there are screens on the wall and ceiling so your child can watch their favorite Netflix show while they get their teeth cleaned. I wish they had offices like this when I was a kid. read more

I took my granddaughter to Dr Smith based on reviews and the assurance I was given that he was great with kids.... even the nervous ones. My granddaughter has true dental anxiety due to a traumatic experience with a previous dentist. Sadly, our experience with Dr Smith was not good either. Our first attempt at a cleaning was a fail as he "dismissed" us so he could move on to the next patient when my granddaughter was apprehensive about lying back in the chair. He advised I take her out to the car and deal with her. She wasn't being loud or disruptive, just not able to relax. I should have realized then he wasn't willing to work with my granddaughters anxiety but instead I spoke to the front desk ladies and we rescheduled for two days later with a longer time slot and when no other patients were there....ya know, so he could actually interact with my granddaughter and attempt to ease her worries and fears. He failed us terribly! He was very unprofessional!!! My granddaughter is very tall for her age and she has a thin build. He assumed she was 8 years old and said that "her behavior was not age appropriate for an 8 year old!" I quickly corrected him by letting him know she was only 5!!!!! (Which why am I having to tell him, shouldn't he read a chart and know this???) And I restated that we were looking to have him ease her dental anxiety. The conversation went south from there and he went so far as to further insult my granddaughter... stating "she was big and he had 3 year olds who behaved better." I was very angry at HIS behavior by this point and disappointed as well, so we left. I'm sure my granddaughter is not the only child with dental anxiety and I am certain this only furthered it! So beware!!! If your child doesn't come in and sit down and open wide to a stranger so they can poke around, I DO NOT ADVISE DR. JONATHAN SMITH. read more
