For the past few days, I have been feeling like "Yes my mouth feel so much better!" I was to a point where I'd touch my gums and they'd bleed. That sh*t was not cool. As a person who not only meet a lot of people regularly, and spend a good amount of time in conversation with people, I did not want dirty teeth being a part of my image. I need to feel confident within everything, and I wasn't feeling confident wondering if my teeth had blood on them from gums bleeding or not. I haven't been to the dentist in...well let us not expose that exact number of years. I knew better, thanks to my mother's habit of taking her kids to the dentist regularly. I thought by brushing daily, (thinking that I knew what I was doing) flossing regularly, was enough to keep the mouth healthy. Going to the dentist is just something that you have to do; if you want to keep good looking teeth in your mouth that is. I told doctor, Dr. Escoto and Hygienist Sophia La Lama a "celebrity style smile" for my mouth is the mission. It will be a process over the months, but from the first cleaning, my mouth already look and feel better. I am looking forward to the months to come because they are knowledgeable doctors, and you feel like you are working with people who love their profession. That is valued. In all things, it is comforting for me having people who illustrate passion, and knowledge for whatever their profession is to work with me. I feel comfortable with them working on my smile for those exact reasons. They illustrate passion for dentistry, and they are knowledgeable. Having that combination for a dentist is as priceless as having a great smile, and healthy gums. I'm reading other Yelp reviews and it's a mix of experiences. I am only here to share my experience because I am able to say I felt comfortable, and I feel comfortable with them working on my teeth and gums. My teeth are not "that bad" but they aren't "that good". My gums were "that bad", and it effects more than we can see. The decision was as simple as, "Do you want teeth in your mouth or not?" And shoutout Hygienist Sophia La Lama., because even though I am a grown a** man, I only thought I knew what I was doing when we're dissing the technique of flossing. She shared with me the right way to floss, helped explain what happens to the mouth over time, and I think that she is a master in the making at what she does. I felt as if I was working with someone who cared. So shout-out to you. My wife and I were on vacation from Boston, staying in Miami overnight and catching a flight in Ft. Lauderdale the next morning heading to Punta Cana. On the morning we were going to Ft. Lauderdale my 3 unit temporary bridge fell out. This was very visible and very embarrassing. The last thing I wanted to do was try to find a dentist in Punta Cana. As we were heading out of Miami, my wife noticed SoBe Dentist. I pulled over immediately and ran to the front door just to find out that they opened at 9am and it was 8:40am. I noticed a receptionist walking around so I knocked on the door a few times and she came to open. I explained the situation and then noticed Dr.Mantovaniwalk in back... I got his attention, told him what was happening and stressed my major time constraint. He told me to site right down. I sat down, he did everything that needed to be done and i was on my way. We made it to the airport just in time. This is a great example of service that we don't see much of anymore. They opened the door when they were closed, they understood my dilemma and went above and beyond to do everything in their power to help the situation. What's more? SoBe Dentist has been a lifesaver for me. I was referred a few years ago by a friend who suffered from TMJ (misalignment of jaw) and KNEW the moment I got my free consultation that it was the ANSWER. I finally got the most comprehensive explanation of what was going on and had be previously undiagnosed or pinpointed by other dentists. Dr. Mantovani and Dr. Escoto are specialists in this field, Dr. Escoto having been a TMJ patient herself. After getting my orthodic molded, I lost it after a month and needed a replacement. I have been a costumer of SobeDentist for a few years and the service has always been great. Their staff is so welcoming and kind and I love all the extra perks they have, like the pillows and blankets. Going to the dentist has always been somewhat stressful for me but in their office I feel very relaxed. A few weeks ago I took my 3 year old daughter to their office because I suspected she had a small cavity. I was so nervous about her first experience, because I wanted for it to be a good one and thank god it was. They took the time to explain her all the instruments around her, giving them funny names, let her touch them and testing them on her hand and making the whole experience a bit of a game. She did not cry at all and while they work on her she was watching a cartoon movie and was very calm. It was a very superficial cavity so they did not need anesthesia. I hadn't been to the dentist in 5 years, and I was terrified about returning since I had been through 3 years of braces. When I finally summoned the courage to go I found SoBe Dentist. Skilled, caring, cool office... My girlfriend had her wisdom teeth pulled here last week. Great customer service, friendly staff, and a nice comfortable "sobe chic" office stocked with cool gadgets like movie goggles streaming netflix for patients. The molars were badly impacted, and she was in a lot of pain. They saw her on only two hours notice and performed the surgery that same day. She had tremendous anxiety about the surgery (which is probably why she waited until they were impacted before removing them), but both Doctor Escoto and Doctor Mantovani treated her with so much care, compassion and patience that she really felt at ease. Both Doctors trained at NYU and there skills were evident during this challenging operation. I highly recommend this place anyone for any manner of dental issue from cleaning to surgery. read more

One important thing is that you have to take care of them and both dentist are very patient and informative on how you should do so. Dr. Mantovani is absolutely amazing! At the age of 24, I just got 2 wisdom teeth taken out. As we all normally are when we go to the dentist, I walked in totally nervous but the entire staff really made me feel so comfortable. I had a nice comfy blanket & pillow, beats headphones to block out those noises we all hate, and a doctor that was so confident in his craft. The "bad" part is that I had to get my teeth removed lol.
