I had a great experience at Smile Design Miami. The staff was incredibly friendly and made me feel at ease from the moment I walked in. She is very good and busy dentist. I had been coming here almost 19 years. I moved 3 hours away from Miami and il still come back with them. Cus their prices are affordable. This is the BEST and most economical Dental office in Miami.. their prices are incredibly but best of all they really care for you. If I don't mention everyone's NAMES it's because I am horrible remembering names, but the entire staff is AMAZING !!! They always have an appointment available for me during the same week, every time I come the shown me they really care for me. My last cleaning was today with ONELIA, she went out of her way with my cleaning and ensured I didn't experience any pain during my cleaning. Awful. The waiting time is 2 hours, receptionists are rude. The people that drill into your teeth and place crowns do not have dental licenses. I asked one where she got her license and she said she didn't. That she was a dentist in Cuba but not certified here. I found that out after having all my dental work done here! That was after I went back multiple times complaining about a crown that was uncomfortable and painful. After waiting hours I was swept under the table, ignored, and the actual dentist never treated me once. I had to go to an endodontist who told me the root canal that was done at Becerras was infected. I had it redone. Then I found out the cavities that were done here had not been drilled and filled properly and there was cavities behind the fillings! I spent more money out of pocket having the work redone they did here that should have been done properly in the first place. I wouldn't recommend coming here. You will get botched work. I'm 100% sure the people she lets in before you she knows personally and probably does the work herself. And that's why there are good reviews. But the other people will get screwed over and placed with unlicensed employees. Don't let their fake smiles, hugs, and coffee replace decent dental work. If you need cheap work done go to a dental school or something. Anywhere but here !!!!! read more

My entire family comes here. We all love Dr Becerra and her staff. I've had everything done here, from cleanings to having wisdom teeth removal. They ALWAYS make us feel like family. Office is kept clean, and they are pretty good at accommodating us for appointments. I've personally been a patient for over 8 years now. The only areas where they could use some improvement, is in appointment confirmation. I often schedule my appointment for cleaning 6 months in advance, and I really wish there was a call for reminder. Also, wait times can often run long so be prepared for that. This has been the worst dental experience I've ever had. I was in the waiting room for 2 and a half hours for a simple cleaning while the doctors talked and even bought makeup cosmetics from a salesperson. 3 different people that got there before me had already been attended and left because they were known patients. I asked multiple times when I was going to be attended and was rudely replied. When I was finally called in, I was treated so horribly, I cried a little. The doctor didn't seem to care whether it hurt or not and continued. The job was done in a rush and I has out in less than 10 minutes, my mouth in pain. I have been to plenty of different dentists but this has to be the absolute worst. Waste of time and money. read more

I read a review on this dentist before visiting. Having no dental insurance I did my research and tried to find someone reputable, not cheap but affordable. The other review mentioned that most of the staff did not speak english. I speak some Spanish and thought maybe they exxagerated a litle bit. NOPE!!!!!! I waited almost two hours to be seen in a small reception area at the front door. No one spoke to me until I asked how much longer. This is after I saw them accept a patient before me who waited maybe 20 minutes. Once in the chair the hygenist spoke no english and I explained that I needed to re-cement a crown and that I had a bump on my jaw near the same tooth (probably an abscess). I had to ask her three times to have Dr. Becerra look at the bump. When Dr. Becerra finally arrived she spoke very litle english. She did not do a basic exam of my mouth the way most dentists do, checking for new cavities, gingivitus etc -no preventive care. Instead she slapped the crown (not exxagerating she's heavy handed) back on without looking at anything. I asked her about the bump again and she just looked at me and smiled. I had to ASK for an xray which she charged me $20 and is the quality of an old copy machine. At that point she told me the tooth was infected and walked away. No explanation. No referral. The hygenist walked off too and i was left wondering is this it? I paid $60 for stick and paste I could have done myself -$80 total. I will NEVER go back again. I still have to find another dentist to treat the abcess and I spent $80 I could not afford to waste. The office is nice and clean but the sevice is awful. Unnecessary waiting while hygenists and the doctor discuss their personal activities. The one employee that spoke english fluently -they did not utilize her. The doctor's bedside manner wasn't rude but the way she treated me medically I question where she got her credentials. The overall feeling I left with was if you are not Latino/native speaker we can't treat you. My advice to the person reading this review is KEEP LOOKING!!!! read more

I waited 3 hours for the dentist to clean my teeth. Two people came in after me and since the dentist knew them she passed them right in. I should have known since the receptionists have no class. When asking why they were entered before me, I was given attitude and dismissed. I understand things can happen but have courtesy enough to warn the client.
