As an update, we needed to hire and pay a handyman to come fix several issues after using this…read morebabyproofing service. The biggest issue is that they messed up three of our kitchen drawers. They had worked just fine before, but afterwards wouldn't open and shut properly. We needed to shove hard to get the drawers to close and they were all wonky. They could not fix it and refused to take responsibility. My husband asked if they would get a handyman to fix it, and they said no. They claimed that it was a preexisting problem with the drawers, and would not listen when we told them that they worked fine before they came. Our handyman confirmed that the babyproofing service had forced two of the drawers back on the rails incorrectly, creating the problem. They broke the spring in the third drawer when it got stuck and yanked on it. But at least the third one is functional now after we paid our handyman to fix it. Ultimately, however, we are going to have to buy new rails for that drawer and pay to have those installed. The babyproofing service also made it so that I couldn't even open one of the kitchen cabinets. They installed the latch too far in, so I literally could reach it and my husband barely could. So we had to pay our handyman to redo those. We also had our handyman fix another latch in a drawer in the kitchen, and add latches to the bathroom cabinets (which the babyproofing service strangely did not do). The babyproofing service also missed electrical outlets. I had to point out while they were there that they missed one. And then we realized afterwards that they missed another one. Instead of fixing it, they told us where we could buy one to do it ourselves. So we bought one and paid our handyman to install that. I have also now realized that the babyproofing service missed the outlet in the kitchen. Why would you babyproof all the drawers and cabinets, but not the outlets? This is yet another thing we are going to have to pay to do ourselves. Finally, one of the wood slats they used to install the kitchen gate is unfinished on the end, so we will have to paint it. Overall, we paid a very high price for this service, and then ended needing to pay more to have our handyman fix their mistakes and finish the job.

My issue was with the way my inquiry was handled and it ended up being a fairly large inconvenience to me. I have a rental home with a pool in a large yard. I needed a safety fence installed for new renters who have a toddler. Long story, but there were already holes from a previous fence and when I called to schedule an estimate, Leran told me they could install a new fence right away and use the existing holes without having to do anymore drilling, or minimal drilling. This was quoted to me over the phone without seeing the property. I sent some photos and he looked at the property on Google images. I agreed to have them come. The installers arrived and told me they actually couldn't use the holes but wanted to drill a bunch of new holes and they were ready to start on the spot. It felt like a bit of a bait and switch. I've never had a pool fence before and I really didn't know much about the installation. I do now, and I know that they were really short-sighted (or deceitful) in giving me a quote over the phone and promising me one thing without seeing the property first. I felt pressure to go ahead and buy the extra holes because they were already there with the equipment and the fence, unloaded in my backyard. But ultimately, I decided against it because I know the extra holes would look horrible. Their price was also pretty high. I ended up buying a used fence/gate from a really nice guy on FB Marketplace for and my handyman installed it for me, only having to drill a couple additional holes for the gate. All for about 1/4 the price I was quoted by Pool Defence. Yes, it was a little more work and research for me, but I saved a LOT of money and I have a great, compliant fence now. Not here to trash this business, but be honest about my experience.
