Beware! I purchased a net from Katchakid, nice color and appears to be good quality. At the time the installers came out to install the anchors, I pointed out that the Pavers around the pool were disintegrating in some places and asked if I should wait on the install, I was told they could easily do it again after the pavers were replaced. Long story, short, they didn't want to come back out to reinstall it because they didn't think they could figure out where to put the anchors again. they finally agreed to do it but charged me $15 for each anchor when they cost 3 to 4 dollars each and that's when you don't buy them in bulk. They were right, their installers had a hard time figuring out where to put the anchors and had to add seven extra ones to make it tight. I asked if they could please bring the price down on the anchors a little so I didn't have to pay another $979, after I was told it wasn't a big deal to do a reinstall, they would not decrease the inflated anchor charge. Good customer service is a thing of the past, companies just don't stand behind what customers are told anymore. They did allow me to make payments over 4 months, I guess I should be happy for that. Great experience with Katchakid. Sales rep was super quick at getting back to us with a quote. Installation date was also very fast. Rogelio and Efren installed the net in under 4 hours. They were very patient with me in learning to take off and put on the net. They explained the warranty and what it covers. They explained that the equipment for pulling the net off needs to be sorted in the shade. I timed myself taking the net off by myself and it took me exactly 10minutes. That time includes me messing up a couple of times. With that said, it's super easy to put on and take off. When I originally heard what Katchakid quoted me, I was in disbelief. I had watched enough videos to know how to buy and install a pool cover myself, but this is their specialty. It would take me more time than I would consider worth it. As you can see, I have a kidney-shaped pool in a backyard that is covered by trees all along. The pool would be filled with leaves day after day and I would have to clear the pool skimmer twice a day for it not to damage my pool pump and filter. They made a custom-shaped cover just for my pool and installed it incredibly painlessly. The cover comes with a roller so when I have to service my pool, I can just roll the cover up and do it, and then replace the cover back on. On the day of installation, Efran and Gloria arrived early and installed the net. Once complete, they shower me how to attach and remove the net from the pool. They answered all of my questions. Efren and Gloria traveled from Anaheim to my house in Thousand Oaks and arrived between 8am and 10am like promised. Arriving closer to 10am means they had to have been sitting in the car for close to 2 hours before doing the install as traffic coming from Anaheim and through LA during morning rush hour is horrendous. When they arrived, Efren and Gloria were both polite and professional; he made sure to go around the entire pool with me and make sure I was satisfied with the distances we agreed to have the fence from the pool's edge, making some minor adjustments from the original estimate along the way. The install only took about 3 hours. Once they were finished, Efren again walked me around the pool. In addition to showing me how the automatic gate works and can be adjusted and locked/unlocked, Efren also showed me how to take sections out or open up a small section if needed. He asked if I had any questions before giving me the plastic caps that will eventually cover the holes they drilled when we no longer need the fence and take it down. I have been very happy and satisfied with the high level of customer service I've received from Katchakid--from the moment I reached out for an estimate all the way to the end of the installation process and the follow-up making sure I was happy or had any additional questions. Also, a huge selling point in going with Katchakid was their ability to offer 18 months of interest-free financing. All the other companies I had gotten estimates from except for one, a couple of which were more local required me to pay half upfront with the remaining balance due upon installation completion. I just didn't have that much money to give upfront, but the fence is absolutely necessary with my daughter starting to crawl soon and summer two weeks away.
