Service, Selection and Price can't be beat. Literally 1/2 price of some landscape supply places I called. Ordered 25 cubic yards of Black mulch, delivered on time the very next day. Delivery driver was courteous and dumped it right where I wanted/needed it. Bulk mulch always has trash in it, this was no exception. Wish it was a bit cleaner. We have dogs and it's a problem to keep them from finding the garbage and wanting to eat/chew it. Once again for the price and great service you can't beat So Cal Mulch! read more

We called to order a delivery for a significant amount of mulch for our yard and I discussed the price difference for natural and dyed mulch, settled on the order and had it set to be delivered. The mulch came and long story short, it was not what we expected and not suitable (in my opinion) for a front yard. I called and explained the situation which we agreed could've been prevented by the employee who placed the order asking a couple questions or providing one disclaimer regarding the type of mulch. Aaron, understood I was frustrated as I was having surgery the next day and was not in a position to have a lot of back and forth regarding my issue. He said "let me do what I do and take care of it you worry about resting after surgery". And he did. He had the mulch we didn't like hauled away the next day, then when I was ready for the new delivery he arranged the new order to be delivered at no extra charge. I was prepared to pay the difference as there is a cost difference between the two types of mulch, but he covered it and followed up to ensure delivery went well. Thank you for going above and beyond to turn a headache into a great experience! Edit-I'm halfway through shoveling the 8 yards of mulch we received and I am shocked at what is in this "premium mulch". The quality is sub par and downright unsafe. Besides a great deal of trash (even ketchup packets), I've found multiple metal wires, rusty nails and two saw blades!! And I'm only half way through!! Should we need mulch again in the future this is NOT where we will be getting our supplies from. This "premium" mulch is all recycled construction materials that they don't bother sifting through. Bobby & Matt are the best. I needed just a little Palm Springs Gold rock to complete work on my mom's backyard. They gave me a shovel & allowed me to pick up a few scoops worth. Great services and professional employees. Brought a sample of the mulch i wanted but was dated by the sun over the years and they gave me the closest options to what it could be. I then gave them the measurements for the area I wanted covered and they calculated the amount I needed. In no time, they were hauling my mulch and dumping it into the back of my truck. They even offered their water hose to help keep the mulch in the truck. Best part to me is that they're a Veteran owned establishment. Spent thousands of dollars here with no issues in the past until today. Went in at 2:30pm for 4 bags of mulch to finish a project. Dude with the cast told me they would have it ready the next day because there wasn't enough time in the day. The displays of mulch and rock in front of the office make it easy to take pictures and compare what you need. They have good quality weed cloth for sale and their price list includes every item they carry including calculations for measuring the amounts of product you will need for your project. We paid $2,000 for mulch from these guys. We are extremely disappointed. We bought the mulch to prevent weeds, and they basically sold us soil with weeds in it. At first the mulch looked ok, but then later we knew we had problems. It has been 5 months and our mulch is COVERED in huge weeds after these rains. The "mulch" was full of weed seeds which germinated and are exploding now. Now I have to pay someone to kill or pull the weeds and I have to have the mulch re-done. This was a big waste of money, and now I'm in a worse position that I was. We gave them 2 stars because they were nice and at least they did the job. read more

I ordered about 5 yards of mulch and asked them (and making sure ) to have it in their driver notes to drop off the mulch on the right side of drive way so the customer's wife can back out of the drive way. In addition and moreover, I had spoken to I believe one of the owners son's about the specific request of where it was to be placed, and ordered (paid) for a tarp for it to be laid on top of and this young man said, (who told me not to worry) "He would personally handle it." Also, " He would take care of the special request himself," regarding the placement of the mulch on the far right side of drive way as too not block the customer's wife's car in the garage. I was very calm but firm in the request relaying the significance of the request ....and,.. It was firmly promised to me by this confident family member of the company it would be executed by himself. On the day of delivery, I receive a call from the customer about the mulch being placed where I specifically, firmly, & nicely explained where not to put it, & was promised it would not be. Essentially blockading the garage and said I was unprofessional and told me they will refuse service from me now. ??? Use these guys with caution as they seem to have irrational guided anger for random customers than tell you they refuse the right to serve you. Beware of irrational anger ( EXTREME, IRRATIONAL, & RANDOM UNPROFESSIONALISM; DANGER TO YOUR CIVIL LIVELY HOOD ) toward innocent customers costing one time & money for no reason at all.
