I just completed the Sunday Riding School at SoCal Supermoto with Brian, and it was an outstanding experience. My buddy and I attended along with 10 other riders, making for a class of 12. Brian was an incredible instructor. He took the time to photograph each of us on track and reviewed the photos in the classroom, providing personalized feedback and coaching. Despite the class size, he made sure every rider received individual attention and valuable instruction. The course was fun, engaging, and packed with practical advice that applies to any type of motorcycle riding. We had more track time than any of us expected. The morning was spent on the pavement, then we incorporated the dirt section in the afternoon. The day finished with open riding, allowing us to put everything we learned into practice. One of the best motorcycle schools to pay for. You get to have fun all day and learn new things about riding motorcycles. Brian's staff and instructors are experienced track and street riders who bring great energy to the classroom. They provide gear if you need it (huge plus), but if you're riding in Riverside, definitely bring your own helmet--it gets HOT out there. And yes, there's pizza, and yes, you'll leave with awesome action photos and a huge smile on your face. They will teach you to ride on track but more importantly, you learn skills that help with bike handling that you can also use on the street. They even teach you how to ride on dirt (hard pack). One of the most fun days I've had in a long time. I went to the Supermoto school in April 2017. Class size was small enough and there was more track time than my body could handle. I don't think I could recommend a business more. This school, run by Brian Murray, is gaining notoriety around the nation as one of the BEST WAYS to learn the fundamentals of motorcycling in a controlled, focused, and safe environment with professional and skilled instructors. He runs primarily a supermoto school at Adams Motorsports Park in Riverside, CA, in which one rides "supermoto" bikes, which are essentially 400cc dirt bikes with road tires, on both the asphalt and in the dirt. He occasionally has guest instructors, such as "Stuman" who teaches sport bike fundamentals (knee down vs foot out). Speeds aren't super fast, there are no cars or oncoming traffic on a track, and one gains confidence and comfort on a bike quickly. I've gone back about 10 times so far, and there's a reason. For around 200bucks for bike use, track rental, and professional photography, I think there's no better deal in motorcycle schools. Classes are usually limited to around 8-12 students depending on the day, so you'll get more track time than you can use - by the end of the day people are just sitting around exhausted with huge smiles on their faces. Do yourself a favor and spend a day with Brian and the crew. You won't regret it. read more

Anyways I hate long reviews so in a nutshell if you want to get your motorcycle license make an appointment at the DMV Clairemont office on any Tuesday, show up at 8:00 am with a positive relaxed attitude and bring $50.00 cash. Just finished the test and wanted to give a vote of approval to Brian. He was great, very professional, handled all the app't. matters for me, and met me, along with a handful of other new riders at the DMV. The bike was perfect for the test, and you got to practice for a bit on it before the test. Just not having to wait behind a long line of cars and other bikes waiting to take their tests was worth the $50 he charges. And he give some very good advice about the test. I attended Socal Supermoto today and absolutely had a blast and learned a ton that I can apply to riding my sport bike. Brian is a fantastic, and funnier than hell, instructor that makes learning new techniques easy to understand, clear and concise and applicable to any type of motorcycle riding. They ensure the experience is fun, challenging, yet as safe as possible for all levels of riders although it's best to be at an intermediate level or above. Not only is it a memorable experience but it's an absolute steal of a deal as it includes use of the school bikes, instruction, borrowing of gear if needed, photographs, track fees, lunch and a priceless amount of fun! Took Brians motorcycle safety course and I was very disappointed. Nice guy overall but wasn't attentive and was on his phone half the time instead of teaching me the basics like I payed him to. I ended up taking the motorcycle safety course after, which I highly recommend. I felt like I wasted my money which ended up being the same amount as the professional course I took afterward. I needed to pass the skills test for my motorcycle license at the DMV, but my Honda 650 is just too big to do their test. So I searched Craigslist for a rental motorcycle. Turns out there are at least three providers who not only will rent you a small motorcycle for the test, but they will bring it to the DMV and haul it away again. I contacted all three providers. One works only out of Oceanside. I had recently received my motorcycle learner's permit from the DMV in El Cajon, and wanted to take my test there. One provider said he would come to El Cajon, but he would not give me his phone number. He said all contact was to be through email. His cost was $100. Brian gave his phone number and his website in the ad, so I called him. He said I didn't even need to make an appointment at the DMV; just show up at 8:00 AM on Tuesday in Clairemont. His cost is only $50. His bike is tuned such that you don't need to use the throttle, the clutch, or the brake to complete the test. Just steer. And breathe. Brian was very good about helping the group to relax. I passed on the first try, as did everyone else I watched use his bike. If you need your M1 license but your bike is too big for the tiny circle at the DMV, this is definitely the guy to call. You will be in and out and have your license in no time. read more

Absolutly a blast. Brian could not have been a better instructor and overall operator. The bikes were great. The track was great, although we didn't get to hit the dirt due to muddy conditions. Next time we will. A few of us crashed, but not a big deal. Speeds arn't crazy fast. It will now be an annual event for my family and our group of friends.
