They expertly drilled and hung my new modern front door ("blank" mahogany wood, purchased through Home Depot and installed in a pre-existing frame), including a Schlage Encode smart lock. He had all the right equipment to shave it on the sides, and the door hangs perfectly open midway. They installed 2 spring hinges to auto-close, plus weatherstripping, and when there was a small issue with the weatherstripping, he came back two weeks later free of charge and swapped out for an alternative solution. As a bonus, when I asked him for guidance regarding an unrelated window situation and was prepared to pay him to help me solve it, he immediately diagnosed why the window was stuck: the wood windowsill had swollen and was pressing against the window frame, causing the window to not slide easily. He removed the window and helped me repair the situation: something others wanted to charge hundreds of dollars to diagnose and fix! (And he later said "no charge".) Furthermore, as he moved through my house, he happened to notice that some of my inside-door hinges had popped up: told me what causes that, and told me HOW to easily fix it. (PLUS, why I would be smart to tap them down with a hammer myself instead of ignoring it.) Just because he's a nice guy. The man has an eye for door issues, and he is very generous in spirit. He seems to like what he does and genuinely cares about the customer. The cost he quoted over the phone for installing the front door and weatherstripping is exactly what he charged. There were no surprises. And just as importantly, for me: he was able to fit me in on a tight timeline so that I could coordinate with my painter and other contractors to meet the ideal overall project schedule I needed. The demolition andinstallation team of Jose, Gabriel and Jairo could not have done a better job! They were timely, efficient and professional. They demolished the shower and tub one day and took away all the debris. Then, the next day, they built the frame and installed the new walk in shower exactly as we requested. He measured our windows and asked us when we would like to have them installed. He told us that it takes three days to manufacture to spec. Mr Flores and his assistant came out and replaced our windows within a day. He hauled away our old windows, cleaned the new windows and rehung our window co rings - drapes and blinds. He also came out for a couple of hours the following day to caulk the outside of the windows and to make sure we were satisfied. We were impressed with his communication / letting us know when he would arrive, if he was running late and answering any questions we had. We ended up with ten double panes single hung windows with argon gas in between the glass. We were told that the argon helps to retain heat in the winter and keep out heat in the summer. The windows have a to tint to them so you can't see in from the outside. We were so impressed with his professional ism, his dedication to his craft that we plan to use him for another one of our homes.

I found Barr Commercial Door thru Yelp. Our business front door was having issue so I called to…read morerepair 1 door. Technician arrived and I asked for a quote to repair 3 commercial doors. He said he need to call the company. 30 minutes and few phone calls later he said cost to repair 3 doors would cost me $900. So I told him I only want him to repair 1 door. I signed the work order then he left. He said I will be billed from the company later. He quoted me $900 to repair three doors, he repaired one door, so obviously I assumed I would be billed some where around $300. Since he left, our company alarm stopped working. Apparently, door he installed was done incorrectly so I called Barr Commercial Door few days later and requested to service the door to correct the door installation . They sent different technician to correct the door which they installed wrong the originally. At that time, they provided service bill of $388. Then sometime later, I received invoice of $580. in the mail as a surprise. Apparently, they were charging me $580 for the original 1 door repair and they were charging me $380 for second time visit. I have disputed that I should not be charged for second time visit but they said first work is not within the warranty. I am very upset at their response because the reason why I called for second service is because technician did not installed the door incorrectly the first time! Additionally, they should have provided cost invoice at time of service so that I would have option to approve or disapprove the job. If I had known, they were originally charging close to a thousand dollars to repair 1 front commercial door, I would not have consider using Barr Commercial Door Company. Barr Door Company can charge $1000 to repair 1 commercial door. However, they should have provided estimated quote PRiOR to do the job. I asked technician how much it was for the repair and technician keep on saying, "I will be billed later". The only reason why I approved the first job is because he quoted me $900 to repair 3 doors with exact same issue. Which, later I was billed $580 to repair 1 door, which I would NOT have approved if I had known if they were transparent with the cost on their first visit. I made multiple calls and tried to explain why it's was unfair for those invoice to be under my responsibility. The manager eventually thrown off discount to settle the costs in very rude manner and in bad tone of voice, She was far from handling in professional manner. I suffered distress from horrific level of service received that just doesn't make any sense in every level. Their level of service already hurt my feelings to deepest level and I have no energy or motivation to dispute any further. It was extremely distressful calling to explain numerous times and to receive calls on past dues bills which it should not be my responsibility.
