We had a nice private tour to three wineries and I appreciated the fact that they took the time to make everything perfect, answered all of our questions and kept it interesting. I'll be honest, I don't know how these guys make money. They must be doing this out of love or something virtuous like that. For the price you pay, you get 3 wine tastings at 3 different wineries + a driver to take you across the 3 location. Shawn, our driver was awesome and he sets you up at each winery with tickets / comps. I believe pricing was in the ballpark of $70-$80 for the above service or $99 a person to add Champaign / cheese plate. Compared to the other services in Temecula, this is an absolute steal. The 1st winery was good, friendly & beautiful view. Wine was ok. The 2nd winery was amazing. You get to taste a 2013 Merlot priced at $75 a bottle, but you have 6 tastings so that's pretty much two glasses. (We didn't do that, we tried a variety- all impressive) The 3rd winery has some nice vintages (not included in the tasting) but I tried their red tasting and it was very good. Love their cab. Found soCal winery tours on Groupon. But I was confused on their package so I called and someone answered late. He sounded professional & helpful. But said he prefers customers go through company directly not Groupon. Red flag #1 I was told he would honor the Groupon price but it was more than I saw: but I figured it was so much more Since I added a birthday packet to include decor, cake, Cheese & crackers. Red flag #2 (doesn't add "up). I asked for a different start time, he agreed and said that'll be no problem but the confirmation will say a different time but don't worry: I've made notes. He asked me to pay it all Upfront...via Venmo. DONT DO IT. You will have no recourse if services aren't provided. Red flag #3 The morning of birthday girl's tour, I got a text to meet at 1130. I reminded him our start time was actually to be 12. We arrived at the meet spot at 11:50am. He called & said the driver could not make The 12 time So he had to come himself & he was running ten minutes behind. Said the package included starting off at the winery we see At wit champagne and to go enjoy ourselves while We waited. It was closed. And he arrived at 12:30pm. 40 mins later than he promised. He acted stunned the inert was closed. No champagne to greet me birthday girl. The car we were touring in was a Lincoln Navigator...with a crashed bummer. Red flag #4,5 and 6! He apologized & promised to make it right and dropped us off at another winery. Said he's be back at 1:45pm. He texted at 1:50 pm, that he had another incident and had to go: his first grandson. Well who wouldn't make exceptions for that right? His solution was to cut our trip Short by dropping us at another winery, refunding $200 of the $315 I PRE-PAID, getting her a free bottle of wine and a voucher for a do-over. Sound good he said? Okay. We can go with the flow. He showed up At 2:15pm...took us to our car and WE, drive to the next winery behind him. (We are on a wine drinking tour right?!) Before he left is at 3:30pm, he sat down with us and had a glass of wine. He was supposedly to drive right away ti Irvine to see his first grandson. But Chardonnay first! Right?! Red flag #...? I lost count! He left and then I realized he never gave us the wine he promised and hey! Where's the birthday cake! That was 5/3/22. Next day I called & he said he would refund right away. Since 5/3 I have texted and called and my Husband reached him too. He told my husband he had to go through "accounting" to get the refund approved. Last I checked he didn't need accounting to charge me on Venmo! Here we are, 10 days later abs he's non-responsive. I have given it as much opportunity as possible to rectify. Then two weeks later here comes our tour date. We are running literally only 3 minutes late, 3 MINUTES. Then the guy texts us saying to meet at Churon winery....presumably to pick us up. NOPE NEVER CAME. We were there for an hour a half drinking and eating and they never came!!! called for 45 minutes from different numbers never picked up, straight up ghosted is. SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!! I paid Chris from SoCal Winery in full as he stated he would take a discount off the entire bill so long as it was paid upfront. This fee included the party bus rental, wine tasting for 27 people at 3 wineries, a pinwheel board, and charcuterie board. The first winery was going to be Belvino then Frangipani and ending the day with Somerset. I have attempted to call and text Chris (951)357-6450 multiple times and he has been unresponsive. I have left numerous voicemails to (951)535-9040 and sent emails. I then called the wineries that he had supposedly scheduled the tastings at. Frangipani stated that there was no such reservation for 27 people and that they hadn't heard of SoCal Winery Shuttle or their venmo name of SocalTours (Henry Owen). I then called Somerset and they stated they do not do reservations at all. My sister and I had a great experience with our wine tour today. We ran late, but yet were accomodated. It was not expected but was appreciated when there was no hesitation to accomadate. Daniel B was our driver and this man was a big part of our tour. He made our drive fun and comfortable with it being our first wine tour. This is my 1st time ever writing a review on Yelp because I wanted to share my negative and horrible experience with others to avoid getting scammed like I did. I paid $550 deposit for services last month for a wine shuttle and tour. The company supposedly cancelled a few days prior without giving me proper notice. I had to reach out to them hours prior to our scheduled trip for Thomas to inform me that they were no longer coming. Not only was I not properly contacted or notified of the official cancelation, which was on their end, I also never received the money back that I paid to reserve the shuttle and tour of $550! I have contacted them through phone, email, and text messages and it has now been over 2 weeks and I have not received a refund. I have in writing from Thomas that I would receive a full refund, since it was the company fault and I still have not received a refund of the amount I paid of $550. This is completely unprofessional and I believe they are SCAMMERS, so beware. This is professional misconduct and THEFT. I have reported this company to the Better Business Bureau to resolve this matter, if it is even a real business. Also as a warning, never pay a company through CashApp, Venmo, or Zelle, I made that mistake which is why I have not received my money and that it was kept by Thomas and his company. I am extremely disappointed, hurt, and sad about my experience and that someone would steal and/or keep money for a service that they didn't deliver on. read more

He shows up 20 minutes late, then rushes us through our tours. Drops us at the last winery with no introductions or instructions on how to receive our last tasting. His name was Danny.
