I want to thank you for caring enough to never make me feel like just another actor, or client. Every time we talked on the phone you took the time to patiently answer all my questions and gave me the opportunity to follow up when I had more! Thank you for the many, many, many questions you have answered to help me on my path as an actor after leaving the military! You know how treacherous it can be for actors to open themselves up to their emotional baggage, and you not only tread lightly but you never pushed to the point of it hurting. You care more about us as people than getting a certain result, and that is tremendous in this industry. It means the world to have you not only in my life as a teacher, but as an over all coach since we have talked just about everything! Thank you for being the non-judgmental mother I never had, and the teacher I needed to guide me. I could never just give you a review because what you give of yourself is so much more than anything that could ever be judged. You share yourself and your life with us and it not only makes us as your students not feel so alone in this journey, but it helps us not feel so hopeless during these difficult times. Thank you for never judging me or making me feel as broken as I always feel. You have this gift of empowering me thru all of my pain and suffering in life. I don't know how you do it, but thank you for teaching me how to use that pain as fuel instead of letting it drain the life out of me. For the first time in my life I don't feel like a failure, broken, or hopeless. I know where I belong and you have shown me how to balance and channel my emotions, all of my many many emotions in a way that is productive for me personally! But you didn't railroad me and make me feel wrong for feeling the way that I do even if you might have felt differently, you never made me feel like you were anything but on my side. Like you were cheering for me, and championing for me to be successful in my own way! Thank you, truly, for everything. ~Alice

I spent the whole summer in Paris and attended Sorbonne university to improve my french as a beginner. I took couple of classes in Beverly hills language institute and also one class in Alliance Francaise. Then I found Stephanie. I am currently taking lessons regularly with her. I wish I had found her sooner. After all these years in top teaching locations, I think I am able to compare and contrast and grade any french teacher. Without a doubt, Stephanie gets my highest grade. Even comparing to my great instructor at the Sorbonne. She has the knowledge and the energy required to teach many hours without getting tired. I happen to know other students of hers and they all feel the same. She is effective across the board. Basic french to advance french. I can honestly say that I could not be happier having Stephanie as my french teacher. For the first time, I can see myself to be speaking comfortably in a near future. You take one class with her and you will take many more if you are truly interested in learning french. As far as the cost, I also found out that she is actually inexpensive relative to her experience and all the arsenal she possesses for teaching French language.

The other fencers are also really nice and friendly with each other even when they are bouting one another. It seems like a nice "family" to be a part of. I don't know about all of the rules and specifics about the sport but as a parent, it feels good to bring my child here. And my fencer says that he can tell he has improved greatly in the short time he's been there. So we're both happy!

From the start, both coaches seemed to have a slightly negative bias against fencers who were not classically taught through their salon, and asked that we enroll our high-school-age student in a beginning class, with several students under the age of ten. We did so, but ultimately, even with their recommended private lessons, didn't see much in the way of progress, and got no feedback from the staff. So we offered to add more private lessons as well, in replacement of the beginning class, and were rejected. From our perspective, the adult attendees at this salon are fantastic--warm, open, and more than willing to welcome new members to their group. They genuinely love the sport and want to see everyone succeed. However, this cannot be said of their coaching staff. Ultimately, if you want to follow their regimen, the staff here is probably OK, but if you don't fit their format, there's not much engagement, and they don't seem to have a problem pitting high-schoolers against elementary students if it suits them to do so. If your elementary-age student is OK facing off against high school students, this place could work. Otherwise, we would recommend you find another place, if possible, especially if your student is older and just starting out, or catching up to others.

My daughter had been training there part time for at least a year prior so when the drama went down, we knew we wanted to be full time at The House. Emily, the owner, welcomed us with open arms and let us know that she had zero tolerance for drama. She wanted the studio to be a safe space and that is exactly what she provides. Emily cares deeply for all of her dancers. She promotes an environment of support and encouragement. She trains her dancers to be the best they can be. She celebrates their successes and helps them through times they need to improve. She never speaks to the dancers poorly. She is always smiling, supportive and welcoming. In addition to Emily, you have Margot and Nathan. These two are also amazing! My daughter loved every single one of their classes as well. I cannot recommend The House enough. The only reason why we left is because we moved out of state. We are so sad to not have such an amazing studio to be a part of. If your dancer is SERIOUS about dance but doesn't want to be at a competitive dance studio, this is the place!
