I was helped by Tom who apparently has been only working here four (4) days ( I couldn't tell because he was excellent). He was being trained by Lana who was amazing in her supervision. They both were so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was good, but I would come back for the service alone. We got the pepperoni and ricotta pizza (at our servers recommendation) it was amazing!! The dough is so soft and fluffy, you can tell they use quality ingredients. I originally ordered a martini, but with some promoting from Lana, I tried some recommendations that absolutely blew my mind. I would definitely come here again. read more

Absolutely love the ambience and decor of this restaurant - especially the patio! We were situated right in the corner and with all the plants, mini water fountain and wood-themed decor, it felt like we were dining in a rural winery estate instead of off the busy streets of downtown! We got the Seafood Paella, Smoked Salmon Eggs Benny, Truffle fries, Forza Italia Pizza and the Brunch Burger. My favourite was definitely the Paella but it is for sure meant to be shared! It was packed with flavour AND a variety of seafood! Although quite expensive at $33, the Brunch burger which was recommend to us by the manager, was very enjoyable. The truffle aioli that came with the truffle fries was divine! I personally was not too big of a fan of the pizza however I enjoyed how it was made with fresh and local ingredients! My first visit to Social Corner was to celebrate my cousin's Birthday. We arrived on time and lined up to be greeted by the hostess and sat, only we weren't greeted :/. We stood at the host desk being ignored until we were greeted this was at 6:25. A few minutes later we were sat with the rest of the party and some of us shortly ordered our drinks (3 people being missed), we waited 4 more guests to arrive maybe max 30 min and yet the 3 from beginning hadn't had their drink order taken. We got fries and a pizza to share and that arrived before the drinks for the 3 from the beginning and the 4 that arrived later. Mind you its 7:30 now 1 hour into service and all we receive was one drink order with 7 guests missed and 2 tapas and finally everyone has a drink, then a manger gets involved to apologize for the inconvenience of the drinks. The server gets the parties order at 7:40 and has the managers help to punch in to the pos system by 7:52 they had rung everything in to the kitchen. The first plate arrived at 8:36. Thats 42 minutes and food was delivered cold and a missed item of wagyu. We watched the people that arrived after us get their food, eat and pack up before we ever placed an order. Another manager Ben stepped in to apologize for the missed wagyu and cold food he was far more receptive to the feedback and apologetic taking the 2 items off the bill. Over all if you're not prepared to handle a large party don't accept them. I work in the service industry myself so it's hard not see the flaws in the service provided. One server shouldn't be handling a 15 party table. I would rarely eat out to a fine dining restaurant, this is a Michelin star restaurant, high expectations are set here but if you cant live up to the expectations you shouldn't hold the title. This is a nice Italian Cafe that I would recommend for happy hour or even brunch. The service is pretty decent and it has a nice patio. Good place to meet friends or a casual date. I LOVE this place, they're so friendly it's a beautiful atmosphere, they have lots of gluten free options and the food and drinks are delicious. I've had the salad with prawns a few times, I've also been there for brunch with friends and I've never been disappointed. The last time I was there the server suggested I try the gluten free pizza. The crust is made in house and it was so good that even people that don't have dietary restrictions would love it, great portion size it lasted me three meals, and the sauce OMG . This is an Italian-Spanish fusion spot with really nice decor inside and patio seating as well. Everything we tried were really nice but the burger with foie gras was the star of the table! The meat was juicy, the quality of the foie gras was amazing and fully worth the price. The caramelized onions added a touch of sweetness. Overall it was an amazing burger. Hadn't heard of Per Se before, but happened to walk by. Patio looked beautiful, stuck my head inside and its just as nice inside. Next day we were here for lunch. Beautiful room, great decorating, big windows. Nice. My guest has food allergies, staff were very attentive to our restrictions and gave us great confidence. Ordered the Crab Lobster Ravioli: Delicious. Nice thin pasta stuffed full of crab/lobster, the crustaceans were the star here. Covered in a rich mildly spicy sauce that didn't overwhelm. Yummy if unattractive dish. Next the Seafood Paella. The real deal: saffron, bell peppers, lots of seafood, in a real iron Paella pan. Missing the Socarrat, for most of the pan, but I didn't mind much. This was a delicious dish. We left not a single grain of rice uneaten... With a Cappuccino it was $100 all in for two, good value for a 'treat' lunch. So: Great room, elegant/informed service, delicious food. To start 2021 off and hoping to have some good vibes, we decided to head out and try this much reviewed establishment. Overall, i was very very impressed. They had menu items that only a handful of restaurants have in vancouver. Like the paella and the famed Spanish Jabon Negra Iberico.....Paella takes absolutely talent to make, while the Spanish Ham is very expensive and requires delicate handling. Anyhow, the ambiance is 5 stars across the board. Dark and rich wood, combined with romantic lights that really sets the mood for good things to come. the Paella was simply outstanding! The best that I have had outside of Spain. The Pan was huge and topped with premium seafood. The shrimps, scallops, clams etc, all were such joy to partake off. A true bounty of the sea. So fresh and the spices enticed the tastebuds to no end. The rice was cooked perfectly. Not too dry or salty, but with the perfect moisture profile. The Jabon was exquisite. As you can see, the marbling alone on each slice, tells you everything you need to know. Perfect balance of flavours too, as it was not salty at all. Still juicy and melts in your mouth goodness. We also had the truffle aoili fries...also done well. the Pizza was another winner...cooked to order. The crust was superior! Thin and burnt the right way, and held the toppings well. Quality cheeses were also used to top up the pie. The lobster ravioli also tasted rich and pure. A bit on the heavy cream, but good nonetheless. Laslty, the chocolate creme brulee was executed well. I've been here for both lunch with a big group and dinner with just the two of us. Service was good both times. It took a long time for our table to get the bill when we came for lunch, but we weren't in a hurry so it was okay. The food is really decent, albeit a bit pricey due to the location. I loved the calamari. They use baby squid that was tender and not fishy (I really hate seafood that's not fresh), and it was lightly battered and served with two delicious sauces. I also enjoyed the tomato soup. My partner had the burger with fries. He said the burger tasted good, but the fries were too salty and not crunchy enough. I wish they had more light and fruity cocktails but I didn't see any on the menu. I will be back for more calamari! read more

I only give it three starts because I am not convinced the quality deserves the price tag of the food. I feel that the quality can be much improved. Once I sat at the bar though and it was the only time when the head bartender was there and he made us these unique incredible drinks that I haven't been able to get again. And for that 1000 starts, we felt so special. But the next time I found hair in my pizza which I'm not saying is an every day thing, and they didn't charge me for it which was nice of them. We ordered seafood paella, gnocchi and seafood pasta. The gnocchi was soft and tasty with mozzarella cheese disc on top. The flavoring was a bit bland for the paella. The pasta tasted hard and undercooked. The service was fast and friendly though and the menu had lots of choices so it's perfect for dinner with a large group with different food tastes. The place is so loud it's hard to have a conversation and it's so dark you need your phone light to read your menu. The cocktails were good. The pizza chefs were visible and you could see them tossing the dough while eating. I am only going to give 5 stars to the cafe part of the venue, which is CICLO. It has big windows for nice sunshine coming through and a big comfy booth to hang out for hours. I have been sitting here doing some work and then meeting with my colleagues for hours. I have had almond croissant (3 stars), tiramisu gelato (4 stars) and cortado (5 stars). The cortado was beautifully done and very delicious. To be honest, I don't drink coffee so I don't know if I have qualified taste buds to judge but the coffee cortado was really good. The downside is though that there is this vibrating machine sound buzzing all the time which is kind of mind boggling. So if you are sensitive to those kind of sounds that it may not be a good idea to go there. But overall my experience today was 5 star worth. read more

Would offer zero stars if I could. Didn't even get a chance to taste the food. The hostess informed us they would be resetting for dinner and we would have to wait 15, we could wait there or outside. When we said we would wait there she said we would have to wait outside. She was basically telling us to take our infant son outside in sub 40° weather and it was beginning to rain. This place is beyond rude. Btw it was 4pm and dinner service doesn't start till 5. We have more then a feeling that they hostess made this excuse because she was discriminating against us because we had a baby. Went to per se social corner for dinner! Tried the criminale pizza and it was okay not a fan of it. It was burnt but was not crunchy enough. I don't think the rest of the pizza would be good here. The seafood paella yet is amazing though I love it so much. Especially the prawn was cooked perfectly when you bite it you know! The goat cheesecake was terrible though not a fan of using goat cheese for cheesecake yet it was new for me. You can give the goat cheesecake a try and tell how was it. Nevertheless, I can only give 3 stars for this place for a place to try not to come back in my opinion! read more
