Man, this place really is the embodiment of a perfect cocktail bar. Service: Bussin. Every server / bartender I've interacted with here has been super nice and attentive. They are also excellent at giving recommendations. A good time to just interact with them if you're there alone. Drinks: Insane. Menu is huge, and their cocktails are all insane. I have yet to find something I dislike on the menu. Added bonus is their appetizers and snacks that are the perfect addition to a cocktail. I have to mention the interior design of this place. I got the January special drink the cold blooded, and my friend had a lavender sour. I don't drink very much and the cold blooded was perfect for me- tasted like mostly juice and was definitely sweet. I really enjoyed the salmon pate, it was something I had never tried before. This time when we came in, I couldn't decide on a wine. Nathan picked a few wines I might like based on what I was in the mood for and was very knowledgeable about all of them. Then I asked for a shot of fernet (p.s. always get a shot of fernet if you're too full or have a stomach upset- for me it's acid reflux) and the owner happened to be behind the bar, and brought out another kind of fernet for me to try. This was my first time meeting him. So kind and thoughtful!! I'm a bar nerd and asked him about his self-stirring cocktail stir glass- he said he had come up with the idea himself. I came in determined to find something wrong... the volume and consistency of 5-star ratings had me doubtful. But I'm here to report that everything was perfect then, as it is now. I visit as many times as I can when in Fort Collins. DRINKS: Modern cocktails plus prohibition-era throwbacks (it is a speakeasy, after all)! The mixologists are so creative and offer many delightful seasonal specials on top of the solid regular menu. All drinks are strong, but you wouldn't know it by the flavors (so keep tabs on how much you've had!), which intrigue at first sip. I know this place is special because I have loved or at least appreciated every drink I've tried, even if it's made with liquors I avoid (whiskey, tequila). This is one of the few bars I've been to where hot drinks are made with just as much attention to flavor as the cold. Basic favorite (as a gin drinker) is the lavender sour--it's the only drink I'm sure to order every time! You can't go wrong with the menu (every drink has had to earn its place)!! FOOD: it's rare that a place billing itself as a bar has noteworthy food as well... everything here delights, and I think Social's food is some of the best new American in Fort Collins. SERVICE: unsurprisingly, the staff are all "social"--they always take the time to engage with guests beyond the order and menu (asking about our day, making a joke), and they often bring fun aperitifs before ordering has even started. Accessibility scores high--appreciate the care that went into getting our knee scooter guest into the building. The staff were on top of it and sent an escort for us to travel in and out of the not so prohibition era elevator into social (basement level). Only one complaint: my last visit (only), we had a fair number of servers who tried to push their own drink creations during happy hour. Some of us acceded while others did not, and those who did were not pleased (these custom drinks can come at a significant price depending on the liquors used). I can see how some less economically minded drinkers would have embraced these offerings, but given this was during happy hour, I would only ask that servers are clear about the premium a customer might be paying. AMBIANCE: Strikes the right balance between speakeasy (dark) and modern eatery (not too dark... sometimes I fear tripping inside speakeasies because it's kept too dark). Tastefully decorated (they tried and they succeeded). Great for a date or celebration of any sort (provided you are over 21) at all price points (come for the bomb happy hour if you are on a budget)! read more

Definitely top ranked in the country in my opinion as well, and coming from Los Angeles, I think that's saying something of the quality of their craft cocktails, the beautiful aesthetic, and attentiveness and creativity of the bartenders there. Malachi and Hillary are my all time faves. Always willing to go the extra mile to make your experience exceptional, even making custom drinks based on your favorite alcohol and ingredients. I can't say enough wonderful things about Social. Being directionally challenged I called Social for help finding their location. Zach answered and kindly directly this brand new to Fort Collins lady to the location. He was at the bottom of the stairs when I arrived. What I realized later was he is a master mixologist and just watching him and his fellow mixologists work was a show to behold. I asked Emily if she'd make me an original vodka cocktail as I'm "just a vodka drinker" she happily created an amazing concoction after asking my preferences (fruity, floral, boozy, etc.) they should definitely add "The Emily" to the menu! Was impressed with the pork sliders, wedge fries and albeit kinda odd, we liked the fresh pretzel ALOT with sauce. Who knew? Deviled eggs were just "okay" they could def use some heat. All in all, I do believe this pace lives up to its reputation but IF you do choose to sit outside on the "patio" area be very warned: there are actual 'street folk' (acting as entertainment) with their poor sad little dogs that will show their bare asses for money - mind you all 10-15 feet from a children play garden. Was pretty disturbed and disgusted by this but figure the businesses already know this is a problem and must be so frustrated with that nonsense. On principle I try not to give out many 5 star reviews, mostly because I'm picky but also to preserve the true 5 star places. Pretty much everything has to be perfect, including service, price, taste, and ambiance. I was surprised a place with this many Reviews had five stars, I had my doubts. They did not take reservations, however, we were able to get in on a Saturday night without a problem. We were greeted by a Fábio looking gentleman at the door who checked our IDs and didn't even crack a smile when I made a lame joke. He was also reading art of war lol. Now for the restaurant itself, it is a speakeasy which people seem to particularly enjoy, it is a great ambience, the bar is beautiful and the bartenders are dressed accordingly. The service by Luce Was superb, I was impressed by all the reviews touting their service and then it did not disappoint. We went during happy hour, which I highly suggest. The Mexican firing squad was excellent for tequila, my brother-in-law enjoyed the strawberry drink because he couldn't taste the liquor, his girlfriend enjoyed the gin and tonic (said it was one of the best she's ever had), and my fiancée had the lavender sour which was delicious. Those are on the Happy hour menu. As for the food, we tried the deviled eggs, salmon pate, charcuterie tray, and pretzel, all of which are on the happy hour menu. It was all delicious and amazing and budget friendly. All of their cocktails were amazing, we tried a few off the happy hour menu, I was sticking with tequila and had the cilantro one and the grapefruit ones which were delicious! The level of service will make you question why you've ever settled for spending your evening anywhere else. Apparently, the bouncer misunderstood and sent our party down the stairs before there was a table ready for us. Did they send us back up the stairs to wait in line?
