I was in town for school and found this place it looked like a awesome bar, with a great comfortable but upscale ambiance. I ordered the Hammer potato and when I say every element of it was perfect. The pulled pork so flavorful and juicy, the mac and cheese made me wanna turn around and go back for another order the tang from the green chilies. You need to go here. I cant wait to go back and try the rest of the menu. We've been here four times now. Three times we've gotten food. We have never been happy or satisfied with the food. If you want a late night whiskey or beer or maybe a hot dog this place is fine. But if you want a warm meal then go somewhere else. I don't even think they have the equipment for it. Last two times I accepted the food and said nothing. Thought it was quirky or just my mood. Tonight was just stupid. My daughter and I rode our bikes here and we both ordered potatoes. They were uncooked. Not even warm enough to melt butter. I had mine taken back and reheated and even with the oven and everything they were unable to melt the butter on top of the potato. My daughter didn't complain and just picked at hers while we waited. After spending an extra 10 minutes in the oven the butter was still not melted. I'm not 100% on cooking but I'm pretty sure thats not how it works. They took off $5 for the potato (out of the $25 price) and then the waitress tried to defend it by saying it was the type of cheddar that kept it from melting. I really hope they fail and we can get a competent dive bar here because it is nice to get a late night drink. read more

My wife and I walked in late on a Sunday night on a whim. Well, not late for them, as it turns out, because they're open till 2 AM every night of the week. Just a couple other folks there, so we settled into a table and I ordered a beer. My wife ordered a Mediterranean salad and a veggie sandwich. I had the red chili with cornbread and a Chicago-style hot dog. Great prices and great-tasting food. It really hit the spot for both of us. A warm and welcoming atmosphere, as usual. read more

This restaurant/bar is very good for larger parties, since there OSS a lot of parking nearby and there are large tables to allow group to sit together. Very large selection of delicious cocktails and a long list of whiskies and bourbons. Prices were a nice surprise compared to what I am used to in California . Highly recommend this place. William Oliver's is one of the local gems that feels like coming home every time you walk through the door. The staff is some of the friendliest people around, and the Scotch and Whiskey offerings are out of this world! If you're looking for a wonderfully smoky Old Fashioned, this is the place to be. We recently headed there for Sunday brunch and were pleased to see they were celebrating St. Patrick's Day early! Besides their standard menu (get the red chili mac on a regular day, or the loaded baked potato - trust me), they had a wide selection of corned beef offerings, hash, and Whiskey Crepe Suzettes! While I'm normally a savory breakfast eater, I went for the crepes and was so happy I did! Thin and delicate with a sweet, tangy whiskey lemon curd, and a hefty dollop of fresh whipped cream. I wish they'd have this on the brunch menu year round! My boyfriend got the corned beef hash topped with poached eggs that looked too perfect to believe! Our server recommended getting it smothered with their famous green chili, which was the best recommendation ever. Every plate was empty by the end of our meal, as were our glasses of spicy Bloody Mary. This is based on one meal, but definitely check this place out on Mondays for Maß Monday where you get giant mugs of Zwei Brewing beers (once all of the businesses are back up and running). read more

Arrived in Fort Collins on a Thursday around 9 and when trying to find a place to eat was told all kitchens close with the exception of William Oliver's whose kitchen is open to midnight. We quickly hopped in our car and took the drive over. We were very happy we did. Service at William Oliver's was excellent. We were instantly seated (amazingly the place was not crowded, nor was it noisy from the few people present) and quickly provided with menus and requests for drink orders. I had a great Irish Red. The menu had multiple choices, and I went with a bowl of the chili. It was excellent. If I lived in the Fort Collins area, I would definitely return here without hesitation. I'm just sad I live elsewhere and will never get another opportunity to explore the other offerings on the menu! read more

We had reservations at 8:15 on a Friday. We showed up a few minutes early. The place was pretty busy. They could not find our reservation but they were able to seat us immediately at the bar. We enjoyed sitting there and watchin the bartender work. We started off with the pretzels with the beer cheese sauce and whisky mustard. The pretzels were soft and very fresh. The cheese sauce has a nice little bite to it and the whisky mustard has a nice bite to it too with a touch of sweet flavor. My date had the Sweet Chili tacos . The pulled pork was tender with a hint of smoky flavor. The green cabbage added a nice texture to the taco and sweet chili sauce had a nice spicy, sweet flavor. I had the JGBLT with potato salad. The potato salad had a bit of vinegar flavor to it and the potato were nicely cooked. The bacon on the sandwich was plentiful and quite tasty. Its the thick kind of bacon and has a nice smoky flavor to it. The telera roll was really fresh and had a nice crust on the outside and soft, flavorful bread on the inside. The whole sand which was just delicious!! I'm not a whisky drinker so I opted to have a margarita. The drink was refreshing and nicely balanced. Our server/bartender was ok but he was also very busy as were the whole staff. He wasn't very attentive but we weren't in any hurry and were enjoying the background music, the conversation and watching the bartender work (he was a busy guy as was the whole staff). Toward the end of our meal, and as things started to slow down, we started to talk to him and he warmed up a bit and was quite friendly. Never at any time was our service lacking or unprofessional. The staff was just very busy but they all were still friendly and had smiles on their faces. Our food came out in a timely manner. Everything was hot and cooked well. This pub was hopping for 3.30 in the afternoon. We were able to seat ourselves and soon a server appeared and was quite attentive to us throughout our visit. We aren't alcohol drinkers o can't speak to that but they had a very diverse and numerous options for those of you who are into booze. The food was absolutely spectacular. So fresh and yummy. I noticed there were several vegetarian options as well. We were hungry- we dug in so fast I forgot to take pics until we were already half way through! The place just looks okay from the outside- it's in a strip mall, but it does have plenty of outdoor seating with shade. The ambiance inside is great- very clean. Bathrooms were clean as well. Huge selection of Whiskeys and I have to give it up to them for creating a non-traditional run of the mill pub menu with lots of interesting options (see photo). My wife says, thought, that the menu is much better on paper then in reality i.e. the execution is so so, I think she is being a little to hard on them. Also, I asked for hot sauce and they brought some "boutique" sauces not the typical Tabasco/Cholula that you get in many places. Service is great and the staff is very friendly. They also have a nice beer selection but if you're not into Whiskey or beer there isn't going to be THAT much here for you. Also I forgot to mention the cocktails are very interesting. The place is located in a shopping plaza right next to a supermarket. How weird is that? but don't let that fool you this is a legit bar and it's open late. I recommend! read more

I'm not sure if we visited on an off evening or the B Team was working front and back of the house, but our party of four had a really lame experience. I guess they just started playing music in the place (apparently there was a no-music policy and wasn't allowed before). Whoever was manning the Spotify mix is new to serving up setlist that goes well with conversation. And they're a proud fan of over the top emo pop. After several excruciating songs we asked if they'd change the playlist. That didn't happen, but the server did skip to the next angst-ridden screamer. Bummer. Moving on... Food: my salmon potato mash-up was served w/o the accompanying jalapeño sauce, making for a very dry meal until I asked for a side of the sauce. My wife had the pork tacos. "Not bad," she said. The Caprese Sandwich was "mediocre," as was the other dish. If you're into wine, it's cut and dried: house red or white. The beer selection is good enough to find your pour, I think. I guess that covers it. I'm doubtful that we'll return. Hopefully your visit will be different. read more

What an interesting concept as far as the food goes! When I think of a pub, I generally assume greasy, finger foods including burgers, fish and chips and the like. This place had some surprising and delicious offerings which is why we came here during our short visit to Fort Collins. They have cocktails, beer, wine and whatever type of spirits you may want. The list is quite extensive that you should be able to find something to enjoy. The food offerings are both delicious and interesting. We started with some bacon wrapped jalapenos and wow (I was momentarily speechless)! They were oozing jalapeno cream cheese deliciousness and what more? They were wrapped in bacon. Ridiculously good! For my main entree, I decided on some porkbelly bahn mi. The sandwich was bursting with flavors and my taste buds were truly overjoyed by such a lovely flavor parade of sweet, savory and spicy mix. The pork belly was so well-seasoned and delicious that I decided to eat them on their own. The telera bread was left uneaten. Oh well... We stayed for another drink and left just when more and more people started coming in. Staff were friendly, tables and the entire pub/restaurant was clean and we were tended to accordingly. We had a perfectly nice midweek dinner here. They have a meat-heavy menu but they also offer jackfruit tacos and a jackfruit sandwich as well as a couple salmon dishes. We started with the capers salad which was presented as chopped tomatoes and small pieces of mozzarella-different from the standard presentation but tasted decent. The jackfruit bbq sammie was good -a zesty bbq sauce. My daughter had the pig and pickle plate which she said was fine- it did, however, come with what seemed to be an entire jar of olives and was a bit skimpy on the meat and cheese. We called prior to see what their food options were and the girl acted like their menu was huge. There are only 8 items. They only have a convection oven so there are no eggs on their menu. Worst place for me seeing as I don't eat beef or pork and they are all about the bacon but I expected some sort of option. I wanted monkey bread but they of course were out. Sent back breakfast bruschetta because it was literally inedible. Impossible to chew. Rest of the group enjoyed the bacon. Salmon bagel was okay.
