This bar is horrible! Flew my son's friend in from AZ for his 21st and they bottled him because he is Indian. This place is not what it once was. Avoid at all cost!! Hands down my favorite place in Fort Collins. Great saloon with amazing drinks and they always have the game on, if not they can find it for you. Got served by Marybeth and she has been here for a while and seen it all. This used to be our go to place in college and it's so great to be back here to have a few drinks. We are from out of town visiting relatives. Visited on 8/24/25. We enjoyed the ambiance and food but not the waitress. We were about 10-12 people and we only had one menu and one drink menu for all of us. She didn't put out enough glasses for water. She was very slow. When it came time for the bill, I wanted to see it before we paid. She got visibly annoyed and said I would get my receipt after I paid. When we got our bill, she charged us for a beverage we didn't get. When I told her that's why I wanted to see the bill first she dramatically reached into her folder or bag and pulled out some dollars and angrily threw them down on the table. We didn't take it. That's certainly no way for a waitress to behave!!! On top of it, we were generous and gave a 25% tip. ( that was before we saw the bill breakdown). Management needs to retrain her. Despite the good reviews, Lucky Joe's didn't wow us. We were there for lunch and just ordered a beer and fish & chips. The food was okay. Two small pieces of fish with fries did not justify the price. The exposed brick and old-timey decor was charming but everything was dark and dingy. The table and chairs were sticky. There was grime in a lot of areas of the restaurant. It needs a good cleaning. read more

Lucky Joes has a great college pub vibe. The draft beer was good & we enjoyed a signature drink called "Chicks Dig It". Their Food service had an issue. After a 2 hour wait for our dinner we cancelled our meal order. This was concerning since it was a slow night at the pub. We did not receive a reason why the dinner wasn't prepared. Did they lose our order? Did the Chef call in sick? Hopefully, the next time that we return to Lucky Joes we'll get lucky & be able to eat our meal order. read more

Ashling is the best bartender I've ever seen. She's so sweet and compassionate! She talked to my friend and I the entire time she made our drinks and was so kind and enthusiastic the entire time. Couldn't recommend Luckys more! Ashling went over the specials for that day and answered all of our questions regarding pricing and even gave recommendations. She overheard how much I love pickles and loaded up my bloody Mary with pickles! We miss Lucky Joe's pre-Covid vibe. Sure you can still get beers and whiskeys galore. And the food is no better or worse than it was pre-Covid, which on a good day is just your basic diner food. And granted the pub is still no cleaner than it has to be. But at least, pre-Covid, you could count on the upbeat, great quality and timeliness of the live music and the musicians. Not anymore! We have tried going many nights over the last year, and we most often bring buds who have heard us rave about "You gotta go to Lucky Joe's with us!" But EVERY time we have gone in the last year we have left disappointed. The Celtic Jam, now the only music on the website's calendar, used to be phenomenal. But the last seven times we have gone on Wednesday nights the jam artists can't bother to finish eating and drinking to play at the scheduled time. It's like they don't care about playing, in fact we're not sure why it's still even being advertised. So after waiting and waiting, finishing up our drinks and still sitting around just watching them eating, drinking, laughing and just talking amongst themselves - - but never end up playing any music (though several of the musicians finally started actively tuning their instruments, seemingly trying to motivate some of the other artists to finish stuffing their faces and finally play - sadly, to no avail). Additionally, we have tried to go other nights when we've called and found that they have an unadvertised artist playing. Then we sit and watch the artist keep trying to start but the house kept not turning down the TV's or the recorded overhead music. So for example, on one of the occasions the performer just spent 40 minutes after the time he was supposed to start playing just tuning his guitar and adjusting and readjusting his amps and equipment. Finally, we went up and asked him when he was going to start. He told us he had to wait for them to let him play. Then we asked two staff members, one behind the bar and one waiting tables, and they both told us "probably the next few minutes". So finally after 40 minutes we finished our second round and left Lucky Joe's, disappointed yet again! The good news is that because of Lucky Joe's, what have now become constant fails, it has at least allowed us find other great spots that are cleaner and seem more customer centric, because naturally when we leave we are still looking for a fun evening out, so just leave and go hang out at Social or Jay's or The Armstrong or Magic Rat or Affogato's Number or The Atrium at The Alley Cat. So if you find yourself bummed by what Lucky Joe's no longer is at least there are some excellent alternatives. read more

Went on Monday night for the burger basket, wasn't busy, I was at a table with 5 people. My 2 of our burgers were given to a different table. By the time we got all of our food the other people at our table were ready to pay the check, I never got to eat. The wait staff were clearly not talking to each other and it was clear that our food had been given to another table. If you are not local and go on a Sunday night be careful because they don't seem to welcome new clientele. I'm half Ecuadorian and Floridian and they didn't not welcome me to the say the least. I have a literal tough tied condition and have had speech issues my whole life. They didn't want to give me 5 minutes to look for my ID which I left at Tony's because I played pool and forgot I had to give the cue back. I'm new to the area for work. If they don't think you have money or don't like you saying anything out of ordinary they see you to the door...not good and won't be back. So good! Stopped here after taking a look at their menu. The outdoor seating was ample and appetizer/drink offerings appealed to all in our party. Drinks were served quickly and food arrived soon after ordering. Everything was delicious. The potatoes were cooked perfectly for the Irish nachos. I'm very unhappy with my birthday visit. I had to find a waiter and the place was empty. The Margarita I got was a mini and had mostly ice for $8. The meal sucked only potatoes and no meat. For $32. Really unusual for lucky joes. I will never visit this college favorite place again . I've lived here 38 years and always felt good about it. But I guess new management sucks. read more

Absolutely love Lucky Joe's! One of our favorite bars. They not only have a good selection of booze, but they offer some incredible food during the days. We enjoy getting lunch here on the weekends. The Big Mick burger is one of my favorites. It's a big burger with amazingly delicious toppings. The cigar pretzels are always our favorite app because the queso is just so yummy, and of course the perfect combination! The French dip is another entree we love to get. I mean, how can you go wrong with any of these foods paired with a fantastic beer? You can't! Only suggestion would be if you don't like crowds don't come during the weekends at night. Stopped in during a lazy afternoon walking around old town. What a great find. We had the Rueben Sandwich (A La Napoleon Dynamite - with Tater Tots) and the Salmon Pate' Both were incredibly delicious and filling. The corned beef was perfect. So tender and resting comfortably between the Swiss cheese and Thousand Island dressing. The Marble Rye soaked up the juices from the Corned Beef and sauerkraut perfectly. Definitely a top three bar on Fort Collins. Everything about it is good. It's friendly, fast and attentive servers, Irish bar theme, can make any mixed drink and have a good selection of beers, and my favorite the live music. Food is good if you come for lunch. On Sunday nights there is open mic night. Lots of talent and more relaxed than other nights. Only negative is that the music can be a little loud, except for Sundays, and the white boys, some lacking dance moves. Overall a very fun bar. read more

If you go on a Friday night, you're going to get the Friday night crowd. If you go on a Tuesday afternoon, you're going to get the Tuesday afternoon crowd. If you go on a Wednesday evening, you're going to stumble upon one of the most authentic, intimate traditional jams you've ever seen and heard. There are a lot of cool things about Fort Collins, but Wednesday evenings here are something truly special. It's almost like a different place depending on which hour of which day it is, but it's consistent week to week. They're very adaptable to what is going on in Old Town. They pretty much give away beer on Sunday and Monday. They don't talk themselves up as a music venue like other places, but I've heard some incredibly good music here, and not just on Wednesdays. They still have the best Irish Coffee IMO. read more
