A group of 5 of us went here for brunch on a Saturday. It was fairly crowded but we were able to order within 10 minutes and grab a table outside. We got our food about 10-15 minutes later. Everything was really yummy and very reasonable priced. I got the burrito and it was massive. I was stuffed after and could have made two meals out of it. They have milk alternatives which everyone appreciated for the coffee drinks. They also have mimosas. We found out after that they charge $2 extra for the orange juice and they give a lot. So I'd recommend buying one with the orange juice and then buying champagne only for the others. read more

Despite being slammed on a Sunday morning, every employee at Savage Goods seemed genuinely welcoming and happy to have customers coming in - really changed what could have been a grim experience in a crowded (but impeccably clean (even the restrooms) - and KEPT clean by hustling staffers) small room and made this a very pleasant morning. Even with the (understandable but also clearly warned about on ordering) 25-minute wait for the food (how could the small kitchen staff not get a little behind with the crowds streaming in?). And the food was - every bit of it - delicious (and reasonably priced). And the espresso was good (not always something I can rely upon these days), as was the mimosa (you add your own OJ, so you tailor it to your own taste). The coffee cake was (I declared) Nana-quality (may she rest in peace, that Bavarian lady could BAKE) and the breakfast tacos were well engineered, larger than expected and a whole lot more tasty than anticipated (again, you sort of build-your-own experience with these: mine were egg/bacon/double green chile - good flavor in the green) - oh, and good, onion-y salsa on them. The waffle had changed from the apple compote on the menu to a blueberries-on-top one, but it was also very good - and not the usual bland waffle you find; there is some grainy/yeasty goodness here. A lot of times I find creative, high quality food of this sort to be accompanied by both high prices and an unwarranted "You should be grateful I'm deigning to assist you" attitude by staff: NOT (in our experience today) at Savage Goods. Everything seemed reasonably priced and every staffer I encountered made me feel welcomed and cared about. Downsides? Minimal, really, when compared to the notable good things. Small parking area with patrons making things worse by inventing spaces where they shouldn't have been. Hard to find seating (that's what we get for coming during a Sunday brunch rush) in the small room or on the small patio. You wait in line to order and they bring you your food and bevs - but not your water . . . you go get that on your own, along with napkins (and hot sauce if you need that). The staffers at Savage Goods were so great that we were happy to leave a relatively heavy tip for the bring-it-to-you service, but I have friends who'd be irritated by the whole set-up, so I mention it. But we were not! Our first impression on pulling up (and seeing small, crowded, line-up-to-order and look-at-our-showcased-food) was, "Yikes: this could be a nightmare." But our brunch today Savage Goods was the opposite of a nightmare: it was like a lovely dream. Looking forward to returning soon - thanks so much! read more

We went to check out their gluten free products, which is limited , but we found sandwiches sold with the gluten free bread and one dessert. We ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. It was very tasty! We usually love Savage, regular attendees. But recently, our experience has not been as great. The main issue being so much grease just sitting on the plate. For just simple eggs and toast, the plate is covered in grease. I can't get a burger or sandwich here because the bread is completely soaked through with grease. The other important issue is neither bathroom has soap...? I know these are employee restrooms too. Only writing this in hopes things get back to normal. It was busy when we arrived, but we found a parking spot in the lot and didn't have to wait long to place our order. We found a seat on their nice patio and enjoyed the mid-day breeze. After about 10 minutes, our order arrived. My partner's green chile burrito came on a medium-sized pizza pan. It was packed with eggs, chile, cheddar, and potatoes - very flavorful. I ordered the sweets and beets, which is roasted beets and sweet potatoes on arugula topped with 2 eggs. It was delicious! I was planning on checking out Crave Kitchen for breakfast while in town last month, but I arrived and there was a sign on the door saying they were closed for renovations. Luckily I was able to hop on Yelp and found Savage Goods in my El Paso collection and headed that way. I walked there - it was only about a mile and mostly downhill, so it wasn't too bad. Savage Goods is a super cute cafe with a great patio. You order at the counter and they'll bring your food to you. They have a lot of plant-based items, but I went with the Cooks' break plate for breakfast, which comes with two over easy eggs, potatoes, green chile, poblano ailoi, bacon, arugula, and tomato with a side of toast. There's self-serve water and some cute merchandise for sale like apparel and metal straws. My food came out quickly and it looked incredible! The portion was great for just $12. It was plenty of food and I really loved this dish. The eggs came with a lot of great melty cheddar on them. The poblano aioli was delicious and the green chiles had a bit of a kick. There was a generous amount of bacon, which I definitely appreciated. Really the only part of the meal that wasn't 5 stars for me was the toast. It tasted a little old somehow and wasn't my favorite, but everything else was so good. The breakfast burritos were only about $6 and they looked huge! After a long flight from California, my sisters and I were hungry and tired. We wanted something close by and will fill us up. Savage Goods seemed like the perfect hole-in-the-wall, cute and quaint cafe to kickstart our vacation. The ambience upon walking in was definitely all we expected. It was really cute and clean and not too overpacked. They grabbed a table and I went in line to order. We ordered the breakfast sandwich (came with chips), the breakfast burger (came with fries), and the build your own burrito bowl (with vegan cheese, grilled onions, and potatoes) -- all of which were at amazing prices. Overall, the food was good but nothing spectacular. I particularly enjoyed my burrito bowl because it was the perfect amount of food for around $6. The fries were a little on the salty side but the sandwich and burger were good. I would have given this place a 3.5 but docked 0.5 star for the wait... we waited over 30 minutes for 3 dishes. We came in around 1:00 PM on Sunday which probably explains the wait but a nice heads up would have been great, especially given that the restaurant wasn't too packed. We absolutely love and adore savage goods! The decor and overall ambiance they created is warm and inviting. It's very open with wonderful seating and beautiful artwork from local artists. They have a custom built shelf filled with goodies that make wonderful gifts for loved ones and many items that support other local businesses as well. They have a pastry display that gets me every time, advertising what they have. ( all pastries are vegan friendly) a huge hit for our family and friends. Savage goods is a fun, nicely paced café with decent drinks and good treats. My girlfriend brought me here to try it out and I was surprised at the amount of space it had inside with what seemed like a really chill atmosphere. Drinks/Food: We ordered the cold brew (mine black and hers with cream and sugar) and they were decent overall. They both seemed kind of watered down and lack much flavor in terms of boldness or smoothness. On top of that, we ordered the churro donut as well as the pumpkin pie donut. Both of these were good but nothing to write home about. The churro donut was your basic sugar surfaced donut with a cakey texture that reminded me Somehwat of Dunkin's donuts. The pumpkin pie had a good tasting frosting but overall lacked depth of flavor and richness that I was expecting. Maybe they might have been better if they were warmed. Kitchen's output is good not great, however, with the details of the ingredients in the make your own omelette bowl thingy lacking in several respects (could you not cook the bacon until crispy before mixing it in there? Is that avocado really unblemished enough to be served to customers? that cheese was purchased pre-shredded, wasn't it?) and suggesting that the cooks are not sufficiently committed to culinary excellence and are willing to settle for culinary adequacy. Came to visit El Paso and our friend brought us here. It didn't disappoint! Plenty of seating in the inside but parking is a little scarce. If you are lucky you might get a parking spot designated for them, but if not then you'll have to try your luck at street parking. Baby didn't get the sugar coating but she definitely loved the fluffy dough on the inside! They also were kind enough to not put the sugar coating on the french toast and everything on the side so that baby could eat. Baby loved it! I wasn't a totally fan but it wasn't bad. I had it modified for baby so can't really give it the review it deserves but baby loved it, so that's all that matters. They didn't have the banana bread at this time since spooky szn has arrived it has been temporarily replaced with pumpkin bread. Can't deny that I was sad because I love me some banana bread, but it was only temporary sadness because the pumpkin bread was amazing. Since it's seasonal, I say don't pass it up. It was so moist and soft in the inside. Not all pumpkin flavored items are delicious, I will admit, but this had a good pumpkin flavor that wasn't overbearing. Just be basic, just this once! So, it's OK, but not great. Came into town for work & needed to grab something to eat. The bread is so hard around the edges that it's not edible. They don't have mayo & and the garlic ailnoi just isn't for me. I asked for an ice water since their drink selections are slim. They directed me to grab a cup out of a cooler in which the water is luke warm. No ice apparently. For $14 for a sandwich I have to tear the center out to eat and so-so house chips with no flavor.. We used Savage Goods for our wedding's dessert station catering, and were very happy. We wanted something fun and easy day of and don't love cake, plus this is one of our favorite spots in town. The wedding was in Alto, NM, and they delivered that morning (early even). Desiree Nudd coordinated everything in advance and was very helpful as we made final selections (even providing dimensions of each piece so we could calculate how much to order). The guests loved it (especially the pumpkin donut holes) and many asked where we got the dessert. People were shocked that they were vegan too! Definitely recommend! read more
