My mom first went to a different office and got horrible service, they wouldn't help or explain why they couldn't. So the next day I went with her to the garden grove office, and talked to miss Kim who referred us to Francisco. The initial employee already told me that this is not the right place to be for what I needed but never told me where to go but to sit down and wait. I had to wait for an additional hour for them to just tell me that the location I needed to go was just down the street. Could of saved me an hour of waiting. read more

I just hope they read this feedback. I gave them one star instead of 5 the reason is because I have a autistic child and was receiving SSI. Everything was so good until 2017 when I stop receiving SSI. Never got money when they stop. Then around March 2020 I got a letter saying I have to pay money to them for 2019. What the hell? I called and asked for a waiver so I filled it out and mail it. Then a few weeks after I got a letter in the mail saying I was going to get a call from someone from SSI to go over the waiver I put in. Never got the call during the time I got the letter of the phone call I got another letter saying that I won't need to pay nothing back. It was a relief. Then Thursday comes and I got another letter saying that I have to pay them back. Like seriously! What the hell is going on? I never got the call and why the hell did they send me a letter that I don't have to pay them back? I've tried calling them so many times and never got a call back. Before this place was amazing when I applied for my child social security card. But now everything is worst. Like why send letters to people that they don't owe you nothing and then send them letters that you have to pay them back. That's what pisses me off. Oh MY Goodness. Where do I start!? These people have no respect for the elders, whatsoever! They feel like that they are superior to everyone else and therefore, are entitled to use their power to give a hard time to the people who come in! My parents went in and this man (late 20s, early 30s, with highlighted hair- wanna-be korean) showed no respect at all! He acted like he is the boss and used a tone that was unacceptable. My parents wanted to speak to the director, and the man refused to do so. My parents asked for an envelop to mail in, he quickly gave one, not before crossing his name out so that they would not know his name! As I waited (several times during many visits) I witnessed these people's actions. I am utterly shocked by the actions of them towards these elderly individuals. I wish the government or someone can do something about this. The way they work is not acceptable. Who hired them in the first place!? I wish these people at the window would be more professional and should not act if they are the kings of people! BOTTOM LINE: THESE PEOPLE (HIRED BY THE GOVERNMENT) NEED TO HAVE BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICES AND SHOULD ALWAYS BE HELPFUL. NO NEED TO USE A TONE THAT IS VERY OFFENSIVE! read more

This people here especially some officer lady is super super mean!!! I have to apply for a Medicare because I'll have a surgery soon and they need a real social security card. Fortunately, I lost it. I came to apply for a new card. I checked in the internet what I have to bring before I came. When was time to check in, the officer didn't see any of my documents they required. She asked only "where is your green card?" I said I don't have one because I'm a student visa. She said "I needed green card" I said " I have SS card before I just need a new one for Medicare" she said " if you don't have green card, you can't have it" the reason I came because the Medicare officer said I can apply for replacement card if I lost it even if I'm a student visa and I told SS officer like this. That's why she allowed me to checked in. I know this place is crowded but they don't have to kick someone this way. It's about life man. Don't be racism with people who don't have green card or citizenship like them. read more

This is probably worst than the dmv! Waited 3 hours! So unorganized and not enough seating.

This place is a joke. I was in this place for 4 hours, only to be told I'm at the wrong office. There's no sign telling you that you need to check in. When my number was finally called; this lady started to yell at me saying that "[i] wasn't going to get from from [them]" multiple times. This lady was very rude and difficult to understand. If you can avoid going to this office, do it!! It's small, packed, and mothers don't lock the door when their kids are in the bathroom!! read more

The guard, B. Lyday, who greets you when you come in is very friendly and helpful. He guided us to the kiosk and explained the process to us and made sure we got our ticket number and an application. He also guided all the other people who came in to the right place so that they could get through as efficiently as possible. This was my first time helping a refugee get a SS card. It took us a little over 4 hours to complete the task. We did not make an appointment (will try to do that next time.) On the kiosk we entered info to get a new card, but when we got to the window we needed to be rerouted to someone who specialized in refugees. You need to listen carefully for your number, as the numbers posted on the screen on the wall are frequently wrong. When someone's phone repeatedly rang loudly, the guard politely asked her to turn off the ringer or take it outside. This allowed the rest of us to hear the announcements. When we finally got to the window the woman was fast, efficient and careful. The restroom was clean and smelled fresh. read more

From a brief glance the facility is in relatively good conditions with limited parking space. However if you are lucky enough to find a spot for your car then be prepared to enter into an office-packed of people. The only nice thing about this place is the Caucasian security guard. He didn't act like he was above anyone. Sadly the same cannot be said about his colleagues. It would appear that the whole entire staff (with a very few exceptions) needs to one, get another job; two, get some manner lessons or three, GET FIRED. Not quite sure who employed them and for what reason...their ability to speak Vietnamese?.. Because after overhearing a few conversations and bearing witness a couple of interactions.. one thing can be concluded... they are RUDE! Somewhat incompetent with their English and very disrespectful in Vietnamese. Overall, extremely condescending when they opened their mouth, and to who?...elders of age fitting to be their grand parents....REALLY?!?!? ....... It is quite upsetting and rather pitiful to see the level of service that takes place here. As a tax payer, its very annoying to know tax payers' money goes into employing these unfriendly, borderline NASTY people. I'm not sure whose eyes and ears this evaluation will reach but changes are desperately needed. I find it extremely unsettling to think that anyone's grandparents would be spoken to like a five year old child at this time in their life. I am in complete disbelief and is utterly DISGUSTED of what I saw and heard during my visits. read more
