I've been to this Post Office several times because it's right across the street from my office. Unlike a lot of the reviewers, I'm going to review the people there and my experiences. I'll never go to the Post Office if I'm in a rush. If I do, it'll be either early in the morning, or sometime between 1-4pm. So yes, I do plan my trips to the post office because I know, that most like all businesses, they are busy during rush hours. Normally I'll wait about 5 minutes to see one of the girls. And I've got to say, they are extremely nice and patient. If I was one of them and saw all these negative reviews and have to deal with some of you, trust me, I would not be happy and you'll know it. But these girls are on another level and they understand your pain. About 1-1.5 weeks before Christmas day, I had to send out several gifts to some friends. They were all the same size, and I saw online that they had a local, one size, shipping box that is A LOT cheaper than their standard shipping. The only problem is that I had to order boxes online and I didn't know of this until I went to the Post Office and asked if they had those. The girl in front said they didn't have any because it had to be special ordered and delivered, which can take up to two weeks. She went around the office and found 2, which I need 15 but recommended I call other offices. Low and behold, after my fourth Post Office call, there was one in Mountlake Terrace that had several of them. I know that experience wasn't the best, but considering there were lots of impatient people in line in both locations, I think that just going out of their way to look for boxes that they didn't have an abundance of stock around was good enough service for me. read more

Worst post office ever, had to go back sooooo many times to get our change of address unordered and never got the mail that had been missing! It's been over a year and I can confirm mail was never returned to sender. We lost our original closure check, that had to be reissued and several birthday cards. Mill Creek is sooo much better AND then have a 24 hour lobby. read more

Waited in line like everyone else to get passports and a couple who PARKED NEXT TO US AND CAME IN AFTER US whined that they had an apt. They were SILENT and waiting behind us until the post office worker said he'd only take four walk ins today. THEN suddenly they had an appt at 10:45. They arrived at 10:58 like we did. We watched them park next to us and take their time getting their baby out of the car. They LIED. Said they had been in like since 10:50. If that were true they'd have been AHEAD OF US IN LINE. And yet the worker took the liars anyway (because he makes the rules. Ship your important documents and packages by UPS. This office is HORRIBLE! The staff and most of the mail carriers are not professional and they couldn't care less how they treat you. They don't scan the packages when you drop off and a lot of them get lost because of that, Not doing their job, but walk around and talk. Had so much problems with lost packages just because they don't do the job they suppose to, so frustrating. read more

The old Asian man working behind the counter is hella rude! I stopped by to mail a package yesterday. I had everything ready to go. I printed the label at work and the box was all taped up. I asked for him to affix the label, since it was printed on regular paper (not adhesive-backed). He proceeded to tell me that He would do it for me, but next time I need to bring my own tape or buy some, etc etc etc. I could understand his position, if the package was not prepared. However, if I had not printed the label myself and had him weigh it and create a label, he would have AFFIXED THE LABEL HIMSELF! So why the attitude for me trying to most of the job myself? There's not too much that can really go wrong with a post office. Their services are so incredibly standardized that it's almost impossible to tell them apart. This one is very small, but they offer full service. You can ship internationally from here, etc., etc. The staff are friendly. You can drop off letters and packages at night. The usual deal. Parking is pretty good. No complaints. I feel kinda stupid even trying to think of anything meaningful to say about it, but I can't bring myself to X out of the Pending Review indicator. read more

This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced, seriously the absolute worst. The women who answer the phone here, like Lori, talk to me as if I'm the ex husband that ruined her life, not the patient, polite, and inquisitive customer that I am. They are so rude and argumentative that you begin to wonder, is this personal? It is consistently aggressive and unhelpful. The post master isn't much better. He just flat out lied but wouldn't get on the phone to do it. He had Lori do it. I have been attempting to work with this post office for 5 months to move our mailboxes bc they are in such a dangerous location. Initially, after multiple attempts of contacting the post master were ignored and then I was berated by his employee, I filed a complaint at the federal level. Finally, Post Master Sean Barnes responded by visiting my house unannounced with a copy of my complaint in his hand. He promised that he would have me and my neighbor's mailboxes moved. He assured me that I was right and they are in fact in a dangerous location. He said there were things he needed to work out but he told me to just wait for more details to come in the mail. Fast forward 3 months later and our mailboxes are still not moved. I have never received anything in the mail. Our mailboxes end up being the victims of a hit and run. When I called to follow up, I get the same treatment by Lori, talking over me, and changing the story. Now they claim that the post office doesn't move mailboxes and we need to move our own (this is different from what Sean Barnes told me in person) and refusing to give me what I ask for which is proof in writing that we have permission to move our mailbox. This was our conversation today: "You need to move them." Oh we have to move them now? Now we have permission? Can I get that in writing? The last time I was told something verbally, you are now telling me something different. "I'm telling you that you can move them. I'm your witness." Yes but he came out here with another witness saying that he will have someone move our mailboxes, some elderly gentleman, and that I should expect to get a letter with details in the mail. That never came. She starts talking over me "that's probably just the letter saying you can move them." Ok well we never got that either. If I came in to the post office, are you able to write something down saying that we have permission to move our mailboxes? "He gave you permission to move them. You can move them." So there's nothing more you can do? "That's it." So that's it then? "Uh-huh." Ok thank you Lori. :: click :: I'm just appalled. read more

I was a little bit hesitant to go to USPS because of a bad experience at a different location. However, the worker here was super helpful and nice even though she was working all by herself. Every customer was waiting nicely because we knew she was helping. I needed to send this package internationally and she suggested multiple options, so I could choose the best, most reasonable way. I have several very positive interactions with the counter crew in mailing groups of small packages. They have been quite helpful, weighing the packages, and selling me a little extra postage when needed. And the clerks have been cheerful, despite a nonstop heavy workload during COVID times. Smallest post office EVAR. Honestly I haven't seen one smaller. I agree with others in that it is impossible to find. Especially since the address says 196th, when it's really on 36th. I know it's never fast at the post office, but there were only 3 people in line (including myself) and I was there for a good twenty minutes. The lady seemed to be going deliberately slow. Ugh! I doubt that a negative yelp review of a post office will be meaningful in any way, but here goes. Went to this branch. No other customers, and I had a single box to mail. When I attempted to bring my box to the counter, the postal worker asked me if I was ready. I said yes, I just have to write the address. She told me to stay over across the room in case another customer came in. There was nobody there. So she wouldn't be helping me until I wrote an address which would literally take me 15 seconds. Ok. Wrote the address in 15 seconds and brought my box to the counter. She gave me two expensive options for shipping. I said I wanted book rate. She then gave me the expensive options again. No, I want the cheapest option. The box was in no way time sensitive. She asked me if the box had books in it. Yes, I said. ***Then she jammed her finger into a spot where the tape wasn't completely sealing a seam and asked me why there was fabric in the top of the box. I told her it was an old shirt shoved in there as packing material (true. not a great way to fill up space, but true). She told me when the box was repacked with only books in it, I could mail it.*** I've never had a postal worker stick their hands into boxes I was shipping, nor deny me the ability to ship. Drive to the back of the shopping plaza towards Chuck E Cheese. The Post Office is in front of the Chuck E Cheese to your right. Warning: Do not use whatever address you find for this location. Who Knew? I have been driving out to the Post Office off of Hwy 99 and right here in the shadow of Chuck E Cheese is this little shrinky dink version of a post office. I am not saying it's small but, word on the street is Lifetime Network has started filming "Little Post Office Big World." This "little nugget" was even hard to find on Google, it doesn't help that they point to the middle of the street on 196th, and not the business. So where is it located? Behind the Lynnwood Convention Center, at the end of the building with Jo Anne Fabrics within a plastic ball throw of Chuck E Cheese. You will find the normal post office services with less workers, and less PO boxes but what they lack in size, super employee Barbara makes up in customer service. She took the time to find the best/ cheapest way to ship my item out. I was going one direction and she saved me a bunch of money with great suggestions. It was taking a while to make up my mind (because I was still a little drunk I think) so I turned and apologized to the folks waiting. The lady behind me glared BUT, the lady behind her said "no problem she helped me the other day." now THAT! is what I am talkin about. I knew I was home when another employee peeked his head out and asked "need any help?" Barbara, looked at us in line, looked at him, looked back at us and said. "I don't know ask them." With that oh so familiar "I really don't like dumb questions" look that I admire. I am thinking on the Holidays I will avoid this place like church since at best they can have two folks helping out at one time and not a lot of room for a line, but for the rest of my postal needs? I would like to give the city 2 stars for not having signs point to where the post office was, they had a tiny sign on the street, if i tired to read it while driving i probly would have hit something. I'll give the post office itself for not having a big sign showing where it was. But i would like to give 5 stars to Larry B and his review with out him i wouldn't have found it. was a tiny post office, but thankfully the guy that helped me was really nice. Wish the people that were going there were smart. just an fyi to everyone who goes there, have all your stuff ready to go and you'll be in and out in no time. I'm not going to point out my negative experiences here that I had before. And I'm not going to point out names of the people that caused those negative experiences, so why the 5 stars? Normally I go here and I get rushed to make a decision on my form of shipping. I don't know about you guys but a few dollars here and there matter to me because of the sheer volume of items that I ship out. Most of the employees here seem like they clock in, do the minimal, then clock out. They basically rush through the packages and god forbid they make mistakes, which in the past they forgot to put signature and then I would have to swipe my card again. Or they would seem like it's a hassle to compare prices of forms of shipping. BUT, PHILLIS (Sorry if I spelled your name incorrectly), she is a CUSTOMER'S dream! She goes over all the prices with you as if SHE is shipping the package herself as a customer, she always tells you the most efficient way to ship out items. And she makes you feel very comfortable at the post office, almost as if you are a regular, even if you're not. This is lost at the post offices in the state of WA, and it's sad. I always felt like I was lowering my standards of post offices because I thought all the people like PHILLIS were gone, but LOW AND BEHOLD, I move from Bellevue to Lynnwood and I FIND THE ULTIMATE POST OFFICE CUSTOMER SERVICE LADY! TIP: tape your own box or bring your own tape to tape up the box. They charge you for tape if you are unlucky. Here's the story woman told me I had to pay. Then another woman came in, was helped by another gentleman and gave her free tape to use. So pissed. Seriously. What bs! read more

I spent hours and maybe even days of my life in this post office. No, I don't and didn't work there. It is just how often i need to go there to ship things. It is very seldom there is no line in this place. If you need to go there to send some very little parcel or letter and you have packaged all and just needed a stamp or labels, go there to a machine in the left side of the building and use it for buying stumps or making a label. International might not work. Some staff is friendly and some is mean and unhelpful. If this would not be because of the automatic machine to buy labels, I wouldn't go there. Small, crowdy, dirty. I would give this place 2 stars but a few nice clerks really helped me in the past. 1 is little Filipino woman and tall man and woman. read more

Ugh. 2 stars for the location and the parking...that's about it. Adelfa is one of the wonderfully rude ladies behind the counter that makes up for her rudeness with blatant disrespect and horrible customer service. She also let us know that, at that location, there are no Managers, no phones, and no working computers. I am not making this stuff up. She also said there was no way to track a First Class package with the PID, printed out right on our receipt. Strange, the guy behind the counter at the other location, off of 99, printed out a detailed tracking summary for both of the packages on our receipt without us even asking. The asian lady with glasses who works here is very nice. She actually seems to like her job. I ship over 200 packages a week with them.

Yes, Google maps does not have this location correct and I drove 25 minutes trying to find it. They have only 1 person working the counter and I stood in line for approximately 30 minutes to get a large priority flat rate box (which you can normally just walk in and grab) only to find out they were out of the boxes. Woman at the counter wasn't outright rude, but she was unapologetic and generally unpleasant. Smelly, miserable place to work...so I suppose I don't blame her. read more

This place is great. Oftentimes busy, but the staff is really helpful and patient. I come in here a few times a month to buy stamps or mail packages for my office, and everyone is friendly. Hidden in the back of a mall with bad signage, this limited hour post office mini-service is often mistaken for the other Lynnwood post office. So when you call to see if they are open you can end up arriving at a perfectly normal time for them to be open and they are not. Very disappointing. read more
