Rude employees, I walked in around 2 to get coffee and maybe a small bite to eat. I was greeted with what do you want. Not hey how are you,welcome, what would you like. I started looking at the food menu after I told the guy I came for coffee he rudely said oh coffee is on the back. I answered back and said I might want food. I almost walked out but went ahead and picked a coffee and he immediately went to the kitchen to make it and came back and rang me up and didn't ask if I would like anything else so coffee it was. read more

The Snickers Lattes are delicious! There's lots of other fun latte flavors, like Oatmeal Cookie and Brownie, I believe. There's paninis--I tried the Apple Chicken Panini, and it was good. There are a couple of salads to choose from. I've tried the Southwest Salad, and it was yummy. You can get combos; you can choose 2 items, salad, sandwich or soup. The restaurant is very clean and the decor is pleasant. Be careful when ordering from the special board. I ordered off of it and was surprised when I got my bill. I asked if the special board was still good, as it was still standing in the front of the restaurant. I was told that it was and I asked why I was charged more than the special price. I was told that those prices were from 11-3. That info was omitted from the price listing on the board, and when I asked the employee about the specials, that info was omitted again. read more

Yum! This is an adorable little cafe with healthy, real food options. The combo lunch plate was HUGE! I got a half salad that ended up looking like a full salad...and half a sandwich. Both were fantastic. If I had planned better, I would have left room for one of their massive adorable cupcakes. They were the size of my hand and only a few bucks! What a cute little place. The server was swamped so that made it a little hectic for lunch. So far, I can say it might be a better option for a casual lunch as opposed to getting in and out during your lunch period. The menu is good but. EVERYTHING has onions in it. Personally and as a business person I won't frequent a place where I have to special order everything. Not only does it slow things down, but when they don't get it right, it's a little annoying. That being said, I did manage to find something without onions. They served a fabulous curried chicken salad. You could get it on a bed of greens, in a croissant or as a wrap. Excellent flavor with the right amount of spice. Overall, this was a great little stop and one that I will treat. They have an intriguing selection of coffee selections, both iced and hot. read more

There are many things about Socials that I enjoy. Their baked goods are top notch, ranging from their cookies and cupcakes up to their tiered birthday/wedding/event cakes. We've ordered birthday cakes from Socials on multiple times and they are not only beautifully decorated, but are very sizeable and more than able to feed plenty of cake hungry party attendees! Their sandwiches, salads and soups make for an ideal lunch option that's not too heavy but rather filling. I'd recommend trying their chicken salad, its hard to beat, as is their loaded baked potato soup. I can't forget about their specialty coffees, either, which are prefect for the upcoming colder months. Their menu offers something for just about everyone's dietary needs, so be sure to stop in next time you're downtown in Cape Girardeau. read more

The food was fantastic but the waiter, who has been there previously, was top notch bad. He had a horrible attitude and was very short and rude. He would hold dirty dishes, then his personal phone, then cut a piece of cake without gloves for someone's to go order. The floor and tables had food and trash on them from previous patrons and he showed no interest in cleaning it up. We left raving about the food, but not sure I would go back if that is the level of service you get. Just an FYI. read more

Great breakfast/brunch spot. Everything was fresh, hot, and delicious. We enjoyed a breakfast panini and a veggie omelet. Between the two, the panini was the winner, but I doubt you could go wrong with a anything you order. I checked in on Facebook, and my cousin commented that the tomato basil soup is amazing. If only I could give zero stars... I've gone several times, whenever I'm in town I go but the guy that always takes our order is always super rude and unprofessional. He acts like we are inconveniencing him. Maybe it's because we are usually walk in's and didn't have a call ahead order, but if that's the case, don't put desserts on display for sale! His appearance was very unprofessional also. Oversized tshirt, basketball shorts, dirty sneakers, messy hair... not what you would expect for an upscale cafe. Not trying to be judgey but when someone is preparing your food and drink it's a concern, especially when they go in the backroom to make it, after giving you attitude. We were going to a birthday dinner and planned to each get a coffee and purchase a giant cake he posted for sale on fb but that changed bc of his attitude so we just ordered one cupcake for the bday girl. Don't ask me why I even ordered a cupcake! As he walked in the back to get a paper bag to put his "gourmet" cupcake in (very classy), it had a big grease stain soaked through the bag by the time we got to the party so she didn't get it! But as he walked to the back, we were conversating to each other about how damn rude and dirty he was and that we should just leave, we saw legs sticking out from under a curtain, just standing there. It was so odd! He wasn't turned towards a table prepping anything. He was probably on his phone but it was super awkward to have someone just standing there not moving! I had finally had enough and decided I will never go back there and I also sent them a private Facebook message. They posted it on their Facebook page, except they cropped and pasted what they wanted to put to make me look like the bad guy. So all their followers were praising them and talking crap about me but when someone would stick up for me or tell them they had the same rude experience or thought it was unprofessional for them to post that, they would delete it. The lack of professionalism was mind blowing! I WILL NEVER GO BACK AND I HOPE WHOEVER READS THIS DOESN'T EITHER. read more

This is a pathetic excuse for a "business." After trying to visit there numerous times only to find them closed, we finally found them "open" today. In this case, open means that the sign said "open" and the door was open. There were no other customers and no one else to be seen. Even after we called out, no one ever appeared. Another customer came in while we waited; she eventually left. There were an iPad and a laptop sitting on a table, so apparently someone was there. Don't waste your time. read more

The bigger problems are that the place is rarely open during stated business hours (I walk in the neighborhood), and that the server was phenomenally rude both times I went. DELICIOUS!!! Fabulous cafe with delicious sandwiches, wraps, salads, coffees, and soups! The serving sizes are very generous. Save room for dessert! This hidden gem has become an absolute favorite lunch spot of mine! The portions are HUGE, and the food is fresh and delicious. It can take awhile, but it's worth it if you have the time. Seriously, this place is THE BEST. I haven't found any potato salad that can beat theirs. Coffee was amazing and at a great price and you definitely get more food than you pay for.
