The French fries were addictively good! The flavor was unlike anything that I have ever had. The cheeseburger was also very good. The meat was really thin and I would get a double next time. My chocolate malt was also really tasty. Order at the counter and then find a seat. Orders come out pretty quickly. This place was busy and they were handling the crowd well. Music was playing quietly in the background. I would definitely come back if I am in the state again traveling.

Swung by Arnold's as I started a road trip to western Oklahoma. It's still the best place I've found along I244 heading west out of town. This time I had a single meat burger. The meat was good. The veggies fresh. They make a burger you can enjoy without the condiments. Always have to splurge with a shake. This time a strawberry banana. It's smooth and tasty. My only reason for losing a star was that the fries were a little soggy. Still edible. But just not done.

Double with two cheese and a side of fries!

I've been going to Arnold's over 25 years and one thing I can say is that they are consistently great! The burgers and fries taste the same as they did the first time I had it. If you want the BEST old fashioned hamburger in Tulsa, this is the place to go! Prices are great, staff is great, and more importantly the burgers are great!! Featured in this review is a double with two cheese and a side of fries! Check out the pictures of mouth watering goodness! Arnolds old fashioned hamburgers located in west Tulsa adds an oldies vibe that would take you back to the 50's for a fun ambiance for the whole family.

I like this place. It's a self service hamburger restaurant. You can't get a burger cheaper at a fast food restaurant and these burgers are prepared after you order. I loved the thick slices of onion and tomatoes and the generous portion of lettuce. It was delicious. Fresh off the grill and still warm. The ladies taking the orders looked happy to be there. They greeted customers with big smiles. Everyone who worked there was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is casual and restaurant is decorated with framed pictures of classic scenes and celebrities such as Elvis. They also used collections of lunch boxes and model cars to decorate. Soft Christmas music was playing. We will go back.

Neat throwback atmosphere. Good prices. Heavy on grease, low on seasoning... just your typical old fashioned burger joint, but still good

Happy accident! We were headed to Branson from OKC when Arnold's popped up as a possible lunch stop. It was SO good and even tho it was prime mid day lunch time and the line was very long. We go in ordered and got a seat and the food was right up and delicious! Can't wait to go back. If you're in the area stop in and don't forget to have some of their onion rings! Staff was amazingly polite and always cleaning the wonderful step back in time type dinner vibe.

The food is amazing as always, the service was fast, and the ambiance is always so welcoming and inviting

    Single cheeseburger. Tasty.

One of the best burgers in Tulsa. And some of the best onion rings as well. The staff is always friendly and helpful. There's at least 2 people constantly cleaning. Tables are thoroughly cleaned after each customer and the floor around is swept for crumbs and such. Kitschy decor with a '50s-'60s vibe. Old lunch boxes and a collection of model cars round out the theme.

Arnold's Old Fashioned Hamburgers is a must stop if you are in Tulsa. The food is amazing! Their burger patties are thinner so definitely recommend a minimum of 2 patties for an adult. Their fries I like because they are classic tasting and their milkshakes are divine. The service is great. Everyone is friendly and knows how to do their job well. They give a small town feel where everybody is welcome. The ambiance of the interior is that of a 50s theme with an old jukebox and photos of stars from the era.

We decided to eat in the parking lot as it's much safer than driving and eating. However, with the option of people watching that also was a deciding factor on why we should park and eat. There is a nice view of the city, skyline and interesting lights and various different people in the area. Would recommend the chicken sandwich combo, however, would probably recommend to request the mayonnaise on the side as it definitely was seeping out the bottom of the sandwich and the napkin was much needed. Disappointed they did not have french fries so we were not able to try them, but they substituted onion rings and the tater tots which both were good. Tater tots could've probably use some seasoning or salt however they were cooked perfect. The staff was polite and helpful. We can definitely see ourselves stopping here again.

Oklahoma seems to have a certain pride when it comes to burger joints that keep it simple. Tulsa…read morehas many chains, local restaurants and pop-ups that are familiar and filling. Encroaching on a seemingly crowded market can be tough but somehow Howdy feels like an already-established diner. While many newer burger places attempt to overwhelm the consumer, Howdy Burger's approach seems to be keeping things simple and delivering what the people want while staying true to the "burger joint" identity. I've had Howdy Burger 2 or 3 times through the years. My first visit was likely in/at Mother Road Market but a more recent visit was on October 29th (2025). In the midst of an economic stall (the federal government was shut down for 4 weeks at that point), eating out seemed like a luxury. I visited around 2pm for lunch. The weather was chilly and the staff was readily available. I was greeted and I browsed the menu for about 2mins before ordering. I ended up getting a single burger & rodeo fries. Afterwards, me & the lady cashier had a brief conversation about the state of the world as business was slower than usual. The restaurant isn't huge but it was well maintained. I sat near the West windows and the food came out shortly after. The highlight of the food was easily the burger itself. It was a decent size, the bread was soft, and the patty was just thick enough. Each bite was equally satisfying as they didn't hold back on the toppings. I will say that the fries are pretty standard, even with the extra toppings. I don't think the Rodeo Fries are worth wild but it didn't hurt to try. Lastly, I LOVE the variety of sauces they offer and the staff are happy to add them directly onto the sandwich or place them on the side. I've since returned to have the Fried Chicken Sandwich and it was just as good, if not better, than most famed chicken sandwich spots. I wasn't familiar with Howdy for a while and, as mentioned, there are many other places to get a cheeseburger, sandwich and/or fries. But what I like about Howdy is that they don't try too hard, they know what sells and they offer great service. Considering the price, consistency in their products and good people behind the counter, Howdy Burger is good enough to replace your favorite burger chain and/or fast food spot.

I usually order my food to go, but on one visit I arrived early and spent some time inside. The front area has a small waiting space with decor that gives a bit of history and personality to the place. They also offer beef for purchase, which is a nice touch if you are someone who enjoys cooking at home. I sat at the bar while I waited, and the service matched what I have come to expect from them. Friendly, attentive, and easygoing. The bartender even helped create a drink based on the flavor profile I described. It had a light citrus note with tequila and was very well balanced. As for the food, the onion burger is my favorite. I always add lettuce and tomato, and their burger sauce brings everything together. The flavors are rich without being overwhelming, and the quality of the beef stands out. The fries deserve their own mention. The regular fries are crispy and well done, and the sweet potato fries are just as good, which makes it hard to choose between the two. I usually get the garlic aioli on the side, and it takes everything up another level. The atmosphere is slightly elevated compared to a typical burger spot, especially in the bar area, but still relaxed enough to feel comfortable. It is a place I will keep coming back to whenever I want a burger that feels worth it.
