    Nice new fields

Went to a kids bday party here. Clean bathrooms. Nice fields. They were doing a lot of construction. The only negative thing I can say is the trash cans were full everywhere!

To be fair, when we called they gave us a different date to go back on. So they did reimburse us.

It's nice to have a gym so close by that I can just go for some climbs for an hour any time I want…read more Although this place is located in an odd area, there's so many friendly climbers on a daily basis, I don't worry about my car in the lot. Coming into the parking lot, I'd say be careful driving past the gate; the gate isn't secured properly to the cement on the floor, so it pops up, making it hazardous for your tires. The workers here are very chill, just like any other gym, though climbers are very chill in general. They're very helpful and friendly if you ever need them. They keep the gym very clean and the bathrooms well stocked. They are also always quick to notice you and provide support if needed. The routes here are a range of difficulties. The basic routes here feel slightly more difficult than other gyms, helping you build your core. They reset the walls on a weekly basis, which encourages you to come back. On the weekdays, it's ridiculously packed where people don't wait their turn in the walls. Lots of newcomers and people who come after work. If you like climbing freely, wait for weekends in the evenings!

I love visiting the other gyms as well in upland and riverside. In over a decade of climbing here, I've met some wonderful friends and climbing buddies. Front desk staff has always been the kindest and most knowledgeable of any of the other gyms. I'm hoping today was an aberration, but I have never been treated so rudely. No empathy, just plain cold at the front desk. I will continue to support and recommend Hangar 18 to new and we experienced climbers, but hoping they ask the new front desk staff to treat guests with young kids better.

It can get pretty hot inside, and it's definitely on the pricier side, but they have weekday deals and holiday specials that help make it more affordable if you buy multiple races. They also have huge fans inside, which definitely helps with the heat. I'm sure it'll be even better once the weather cools down! We haven't tried the food yet, but that's definitely on our list for next time.

Imagine an experience so bad you finally download the yelp app…read more.. The food experience minus 1 star. Waiting 30 minutes for a pretzel and onion rings sucks, it especially sucks when the onion rings taste horrible and look just as bad. Its even worse that you ordered prior to a party arriving and yet they got at least two orders of wings and pizzas delivered before your food even hit the table. Install a notification system, minus 1 star. Waiting an hour and a half to ride is fine. Not being able to leave is the problem. Its 2026 and you can't have a push notification system for guest....maybe its better with a reservation but living over an hour away and with California's traffic its not something that can be guaranteed for some. It wouldn't be fair to not review the actual thing people come here for. The racing is fun and exciting. Course is done well. Plus 1 star.

My kids love that! Here's what we don't love: 1. The price. If they charged $12-14 per child and let parents in for free, I would easily give this place 5 stars. The bottom line is that it's overpriced for what it is. It is not a large space. It's actually the smallest children's museum we've visited, yet it is the most expensive at $15 per child and $16 per adult. It cost almost $50 for me and my two kids. Why are the prices so hefty, and why are adults charged at all? 2. No re-entry. Again, why? For the price, we should be able to leave for a bit to eat and come back. I cannot think of a justifiable reason for this policy. 3. The enforcement of arbitrary rules. Several times during our visit, the employees would come on the loudspeaker reminding parents that all children needed to be accompanied at all times. That makes perfect sense for toddlers and babies. But my kids are 5 and 9. My well behaved 9 year old should be allowed to explore and take her time in a station without me hovering over her. This is a safe place designed for children, so why are they not allowed to roam and explore like they can at other children's museums? If it's a safety concern of making sure they don't get kidnapped or leave the premises, then install a gate and check-out system. It would be quite easy since there are employees just standing at the front desk the entire time anyway. They also have an open staircase right there that seems hazardous to little ones, so a gate would make the most sense. There are far too many other incredible children's museums in Southern California (Kidspace in Pasadena, Yorba Linda Children's Museum, the Discovery Cube, etc) that blow Second Story out of the water and are more appropriately priced.

I am glad we finally got to see it though and would probably visit once more with grandma and grandpa.

I appreciate that they only charge per child (unlike other similar places) and there is SO much our daughter can do here. (Note: It's one free adult per child and only $3 for each additional adult.) The space is well-maintained and the lady who is usually here (I believe may be the owner) is SO kind. They allow you to bring in outside food (to be eaten in a specific area) and there is plenty of seating for parents. It's small enough where you can always have eyes on your child from across the room. They have packages for birthday parties (which we will take advantage of sometime) and don't forget your socks! I like that it's not too much busy here, usually under 8 kids, which is good. Im afraid of those playgrounds in the mall, way too crowded; not safe or fun at all. I like how clean /organized the staff keep this place, they always organize the toys that the kids are throwing around, and they are all very nice and kind to children, such as Citaly, super nice, which is another point I'd like to come back again and again. As they care about this place. Overall, I highly recommend this place for young kid, and easy for parking outside on the street. Punch card is definitely a good deal, don't miss it!
