Just did my first quick detail Carwash service. Excellent!! The staff is helpful and friendly. The service took right about 15 minutes. And my car hasn't been this clean in a loooong time. The whole interior was sparkling. The pics attached are to show the carpet and cup holders since most places don't do those well. Spotless at Soft Touch Carwash. Everyone was really nice and helpful, I hadn't driven in three years and my car really needed a good cleaning and a new brake tag.. After getting my brake tag I opted for the hand wash(she needed it) and it was nice to be able to sit and have enjoyable conversation in the waiting area, while the young man did his magic on my car.. $15 car wash. Don't bother coming here. You do better taking your vehicles to a gas station carwash. Their soft touch system leaves streaks on your vehicle. The wash throws a lot of soapy water but the brushes do not clean well. It's up to you to do after wash cleaning of the areas it did not clean. The blowers DO NOT dry your car. You would expect a carwash to dry your vehicle after it completes the wash process. Well not this one. My vehicle was totally wet when it came out. I pointed this out to the attendant and after seeing it for himself he offered me a free rag so I could finish drying it. He quipped "this is the cheapest carwash in the City.". I went in expecting to get my vehicle registration form for Uber completed. They filled out a form, I paid $50 cash and got my receipt. After finding out i need an inspection sticker, i went back to ask what the deal was. They told me they only give that out in the state your car is registered. My car was registered in Colorado. I asked for my money back, they denied even when i showed my receipt. This car wash should have informed that to me at the beginning, they didnt, and i lost $50. Don't make this mistake, and I wouldn't go here whatsoever to get your car inspected to drive uber or lyft read more

Started out yesterday knowing I had to get my car washed, low and behold,, I was passing a car wash, and it was called "Soft Touch" wow what an apparition. I drove in and I was looking confused and lost, whaat! A young handsome gentleman came out the door looking like one of the "Yellowstone Family". I said to him do I look confused, he said, yes ma'am, how can I help? I said tell me about this car wash, how much, etc., I said , where do you wash the car.? He said , right here ma'am, ( this dummy was paused right outside the tunnel where you and the car drives inside of ) I was so dumb , my well earned dunce cap, hid its face, uh huh. There's several options to choose from and I picked what I call the lazy girl girl option. You pay on your credit card, but you can come in as often as you wish! Wow! I don't have to run in and pay. The fee is taken out every month and you can stop at any time no penalty. Plus you're free of all the usual frustrations. You get a tab underneath your rear view mirror above your dash board , the store inside has supplies and snacks, papers, comfortable seating, rest rooms, there's enough slots outside to pull your rid in after it's bath, wow! That what you say to your four wheel baby after it's looking good. If you're joining to become a member , it takes no time, and that's when I met the other half, the wife, of Mr. Yellowstone look-a-like when I went inside to sign up. The owners are , Jason and Rachelle Bourg. Ms. Bourg was as kind and accommodating as she was beautiful, she looks Hawaiian, does her husband. Happy owners, happy customers. I was shown where you wipe off the car, etc. oil change, and break tags are on the property. It is spotless in there, music is "nat' ully " naw'lins y'all. If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. The owner's son, who claimed to be the Mgr cursed me out using the F word twice saying I f-ing tried his patience and to go F myself. My friend brought his car to be inspected the beginning of October and the guy was ready to pass the inspection and scraped off the old brake tag sticker when he told my friend that he couldn't pass him bc his front driver's side headlight was cracked. He told him to go home and TAPE IT & bring it back and he'd pass it. My friend was busy moving out of state and left me his car to try to sell. I recently called Soft Touch and spoke to a girl who said it was illegal to tape the headlight & pass inspection--it needed to be repaired. So I went to a body shop, had the headlight replaced and brought it back to them to be inspected. Now the girl says she's going to charge me an extra $25 for a brake tag bc the OLD BRAKE TAG WAS REMOVED! I told her that her business removed it! I refused to pay it out of principle! I asked for the Mgr and a young man with a ZZ TOP BEARD with dreadlocks appeared saying he was the owner's son and he was charging me the extra $25 bc I didn't have an EXISTING BRAKE TAG (that his business had scraped off). I was outdone. I asked to speak to his father, whom the son then said he was unable to get a hold of! I ended up paying the extra $25, plus the $25 for the new brake tag. AND I HAD TO LISTEN TO SOME PUNK KID CLAIMING TO BE THE MGR, CURSE ME OUT. I will never do business with them again. After reading some of the other recent reviews, they did a lousy job of scraping off the old tag also. Beyond horrible. read more

When I lived in Orleans Parish, this is where I got my brake tags renewed. While I have an issue with the concept of brake tags (they check your headlights, tail lights, windshield wipers, and then drive you 2 feet and stop the car, really, just a suck of money from the government), this location is fast and easy. If there is one drop of rain that has fallen within the last hour, they are unable to do the check, for some reason. This is cash only. I have gotten my car washed here many times. They have a free vacuum if you are paying for a wash, which is way cool. The car wash is pretty thorough, if a bit on the expensive side. There is an area set up with brushes and water so you can pre-scrub the bugs from your grill before going through the wash. I have also gotten my oil changed here, and it is convenient and easy. They are nice enough, and it is done quickly. A free basic car wash is given if you buy certain packages. The are convenient, and easily accessible. read more

The last time I came in for my annual inspection I decide to give the car a treat and get a car wash, and not the cheap-o $5 wash, I went for the upgrade to the $10 wash. This has been my go-to car wash since I moved to Mid City. A friend of mine told me about the free (not anymore) vacuums that were available, so that got me there. When I finally needed a wash for my car, naturally I went through their machine since I was there and they were so kind as to allow the use of vacuum without purchase of a wash first. I always go with the best wash ($15) and the added wheel luster ($3). Be sure to get a reciept as you can also write car washes off of taxes. I know that may sound bizzare, but every little bit helps. If you ask me, the wash is well worth the $18 dollars, and if you can keep your car out of the conditions, although even through rain, the clean will last for days. You can also get your brake tags and oil changes here. Neither of these services I've had done here so nothing I can say from personal experience on those fronts, but a lot of people seem to get their oil changed here so it seems safe. Also, you can trust the guys there walking around checking windshields for cracks or chips. They do a really good job, i've brought my car to them for any little chip or crack in my windshield. read more

There is also a drive through car wash and detailing center. The brake tag inspection area is to the right of the car was and has its own separate canopy and line. Quick and easy. read more

Reasonably priced detailed inside and out for $36. This is my second time here and I am always pleased with how friendly and nice they all are. Plus they always do a great job cleaning my car. Last time I had water in my car from a storm and they went out of their way to help me vacuum up the water that I hadn't known about. Highly recommend coming here. read more

I came here for an oil change and a brake tag. Unfortunately the brake tag area was closed. The operating time for the business didn't specify that each service had different hours. I got my oil changed and a quick $5 wash. The oil guys were nice. They told me the price for the change and the new filter before asking for payment which is good because I would have been upset if they didn't. I never asked for a new filter :-) read more

Brake Tag: I went when there was no line and it took less than 10 minutes. Their hours for inspections are 8-4 p.m. and if it starts raining, they close it down. I wouldn't give the car wash itself a 5 star rating but it is what it is for a drive through car wash. read more

Every year, I look at the bottom left corner of my windowsill and a tiny gasp escapes me..."My heavens," I say to myself..."I'm way past due on my Brake Tag Inspection." I told someone I was, "riding dirty" but apparently that has a totally different meaning than just having a past due brake tag... One of my only problems with this station that I go to in MidCity is I'm not 1,0000% positive of their hours during the week. I think it also has to do with the weather. I should've assumed they wouldn't be casually testing cars with tornado watches in the area, but the very next day they weren't open either. I finally rolled up on an extremely beautiful day where three folks were manning the station. While conducting the test, they let me know that there was a late fee for me not getting my brake tag during the appropriate month but then they said the magic phrase...."do you want to get a 2 year brake tag." YES, PLEASE! Even though...now that I think about it...I actually want to trade in this car in the next year so...crap. But whatever. I love the fact that they have TWO YEAR BRAKE TAG options now! They did see that I had a passenger-side brake light out so they sent me to go get that fixed while they went on lunch from 12 - 1pm which we both came back from promptly, and I was on my way! The folks are uber pleasant and quick, and I'll definitely be back when I'm, fingers-crossed, rolling around in a new car. read more

I've never had a problem with the Brake Tag part of the business. Always quick and easy to me. Very convenient for us. I do use the car wash occasionally and it's nothing fantastic by any means - does an ok job. I paid for my carwash and apparently was not paying attention because I bought the $15 wash. I noticed it after the fact, but it's a blatant rip off. Besides their sign listing all the added wonders, there was nothing done differently to distinguish it from the $5 wash and a $15 wash. It's not longer nor does it do anything special - I swear it even felt like it pushed me though even faster this time, but it's just me overthinking it now. It was just a reminder to myself to pay attention or get off my behind and wash the car myself. Or bring it to Safari.. Update: I do appreciate the owner responding to my review while offering me a free car wash. I still come here frequently for many reasons. Location, it's easy and overall does a good job. As far as pricing - I still don't see how it's different, but it doesn't stop me from going. It's easy to write a bad review, but kudos to them for responding. That goes a long way. read more

Everyone here is so friendly and helpful! Very reasonably priced considering the guys here are outside in the sun busting their butts so you can have a nice, clean car. I had soap scum on one side of my vehicle from using a cheap automatic carwash. The employees were able to buff it out for me and were super helpful in explaining how to avoid this in the future. Second time I took my car through this wash, this time, the scrubber pads (whatever you call the pads that run over and clean your car) scratched the hell out of my car as if they were gritty or had sand in them. I literally now have hundreds of pin needle scratches from the hood of my car to the trunk and small paint chips missing. Will not ever risk taking a vehicle here again. This a review for the brake tag station. There is usually a line but that might be 'cause I always hit them on Saturdays. (Yes peeps they are open on Sat). The line moves pretty quickly and the inspectors are fast and fairly friendly. NOTE: They won't let you slide on windshield cracks and they do check the tint. The only real gripe I have is that as of this review they haven't updated their hours with the city of new orleans. On Saturday they're open 8:00a-11 and 12-3p. Probably the city's fault but there ya go. Mommy notes: They will need to get in your car and drive it a short distance to test the brakes. Plan accordingly. read more

After nabbing a great deal on auto dealing here from Yollar, I headed a few miles to Mid-City to get my baby all cleaned up. The place was great! You could get an oil change, lube, vacuum, express detail, or the full detail (which is what I went for). The lady who greeted and facilitated my detail seemed honestly excited to take care of me. She let me know that the full detail would take close to 2 hours---no worries, I walked less than a mile to the beautiful City Park and enjoyed a day strolling about. Otherwise, the Bulldog Pub is right across the street. The result? I went back in 1 1/2 hours to find my Jeep SUPER-shiny, smelling great and better than it has ever looked!!! They even got the often-ignored spots between the seats and in the door jambs:) read more
