Recently switched my entire family of 5 with varying age ranges and dental needs. Dr. Cook is my dentist of choice. Two of my kids have had treatment done by Dr. Grinitsyna. All dental treatment has been a good experience there from cleanings, fillings and much more crazy. This was my first time visiting the office, but it was enough to know that it is where I will remain. I had a dental emergency and wanted to see Dr. Kristin Cook who had just left another practice for this one. I had gone in for a normal cleaning. I had been having problems with my lower front teeth and we'd discussed previously a plan to remove them and replace it all with a bridge; we just hadn't decided on a time frame. Nature took care of that with an infection under one of the teeth. My hygienist, Nikki, consulted Dr. Anna and they gave me their prognosis and recommendation and we proceeded with the extraction and installation of a temporary bridge. Rashane was able to sculpt a beautiful and perfect fitting temporary bridge and I have a great smile now. OMG I love this office !! I took a chance and it was worth it. I just left dobbin dental due to the horrible scheduling, worst customer service, and also I often felt out of place when visiting the office. Soft touch was exactly the opposite. I was greeted by the receptionist Sandra who was very sweet and helpful, & then I met Amira the dental assistant who was with me & talked me through my whole procedure. Amira was a life saver, she was very friendly, smart, educated and patient & she kept my mind off of my pain. Dr. Wringley was the BOMB.com she came in with a bubbly personality, she was gentle. & she performed an extraction so quick I was shocked when she said done. I am pretty much the worst dental patient ever. My PTSD from having my molars shocked with electrics as a teenager cause me to be fairly reactive to anyone touching my mouth. This was different. I was able to process my flashbacks best i can with a few accommodations they they provided. Sandra was so compassionate. My service dog was allowed ass much as i needed him. For someone with severe PTSD and autism, i am grateful for the care i received despite my memories. They came up with a treatment plan that made it so i was able to not have to reschedule another appointment. I was too much of a "flight risk". I got in the same day with time to eat lunch. Kindness in the face of a full flashback of a extraordinary traumatic event with a needle or two in your mouth is beyond possible for me most days. This team made it possible. Thank you. This is a great dental practice. The office is clean, the staff seem to enjoy their jobs, they make an effort to get to know you as a patient, and most importantly I have had better care here than at my previous dentist. I have dental anxiety so I've avoided the dentist for a while. I did some research and called Soft Touch in Ellicott City off of Rogers Avenue. The receptionist/offices manager was so incredibly warm, reassuring, polite and friendly. This kind of sealed the deal for me to make my appointment. I went in today and the office itself is spa-like. Very calming. All of the staff are so calming and interested in you and making sure you are comfortable and well cared for. The dentist was GENTLE, caring and sensitive. I've never had such a good experience. I will recommend this place to all of my friends and family. I have to get some work done and I'm not at all nervous. Plus they have sedation dentistry - which I will certainly be using for my upcoming work. GREAT PLACE! read more

I recently switch to STDC. I was reluctant to do so because I liked my dentist, but I had several friends who swore by STDC and the amazing crew there. I am so glad I switched. The entire staff is terrific. They are a thriving operation, so as some of the disgruntled reviewers on here pointed out, they need appointments met and they need everyone to be timely. But in return, they had me in and out in record speed! Their waiting room was empty (as one other reviewer pointed out) because they don't keep patients waiting! They are punctual, professional, and they are so passionate about what they do. Their enthusiasm for their work and for life is infectious. New to the area I was looking for a new dentist. Based on reviews I chose Soft Touch. I made a new patient appointment for a month or so in advance then that weekend I broke a tooth. They took me right away and while I was in the chair the took x-rays which would have been part of my new patient appointment. Later that week they called me because that had a cleaning available, bonus! The permanent crown for the broken tooth was scheduled for today at 12 noon I arrived at 11:33 and walked out of the office at 12:01! These people are a godsend for those with anxiety or fear from previous dentists. I suffer from severe anxiety from a previous dentist that refused to listen to me when I told him that I wasn't numb enough. Several years ago I was told by said dentists that I had cavities, and I put off going back for over a year, just out of fear of getting the drill again. When I had finally decided to get a new dentist, my mother recommended Soft Touch. Unfortunately, my waiting had caused two of my teeth to turn into root-canals, but the staff at Soft Touch could not be any more sweet and understanding. They offer each patient music to listen to, comfortable pillows, colored shades, and even milkshakes. If you tell them "I'm not numb enough", THEY'LL LISTEN. I've been what I'd consider a high-maintenance patient, but they are exceptionally considerate of me. I require multiple numbings with a special numbing agent and nitrous to get me numb and comfortable, and they will never drill unless I'm good and ready. The only set-back is the price, which is fairly high. It's not terrible if you have insurance, but about double the price of my previous dentist. Being comfortable comes with a price, I guess. read more

I had my cleaning and check up today. I was so impressed. The COVID precautions are stellar and beyond anything I have experienced. I was greeted at the door, my hygienist dons a fresh gown after each patient, fresh keyboard cover after each patient (I never thought of that) and disinfecting equipment after touching it - way to go! I had a great experience with Soft Touch Dental Care. I was in need of an onlay and changing my old amalgam silver fillings to new composite white fillings. They took an impression of my tooth for the onlay and had it rushed so that I could have the onlay put in within the week. The whole process was painless and they catered to my every need. Soft Touch Dental, particularly Dr. Adams and her assistant Amira, has made a huge difference in my attitude toward going to the dentist. My fears have been eliminated. Dr. Adams truly lives up to the name "Soft Touch". There is no better place for dental care. They first took me when I had a dental emergency - and they saw me immediately. Dr. Wrigley is the absolute best. I never have any pain even when I have something unusual that needs to be done. Even so, Dr. Wrigley is always diligent in ensuring that there is no pain or sensitivity throughout the visit. Also very thorough - the most thorough dentist I have been to (I've only been to one other one). I always like to get Dr. Wrigley's opinion on anything unusual related to my jaw, mouth, etc. I also appreciate that she utilizes a conservative approach where possible. I have severe dental phobia. The dentists AND hygienists are so amazing with the patients. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and less anxious. I have always been embarrassed about my anxiety but they are very nice and accepting and provide such an open and accepting environment. My fears have actually gotten better. Always hated going to the dentist equaled having many problems at once. I tried several dentists before coming to Soft Touch Dental Care and I'm so thankful I found them! I took advantage of doing sedation dentistry and got all of my problems taken care of in two visits. I have seen both Dr. Adams and Dr. Wrigley and love them both! Super nice, so kind, attentive, and great at what they do! Michelle was with me through the sedation and was great. I also have to give a big shout out to Amira and the other Michelle who were super comforting at a few follow up visits when I had a lot of anxiety about some adjustments I did outside of sedation.
