After having time to reflect, I feel strongly that other clients should know about my experience. I would encourage anyone considering this clinic to carefully consider before subjecting themselves to work with Sarah. Based on my experience, I found her communication to be unnecessarily hostile and lacking in understanding or professionalism. There are other clinics in town that I believe provide a much more respectful and customer-focused experience, and I will personally be taking my business elsewhere. Here is my story: I initially came to this clinic because I wanted my skin looking its best for my wedding. I spent around $800 on Botox with Kassie, and both Kassie and Sarah knew that my goal was to have good skin for my wedding photos. I then wanted to schedule one or two facials before the wedding, specifically to safely remove peach fuzz. A few months earlier, Sarah had used a blade to remove it and accidentally scratched my entire face, leaving small cuts and scabs across my chin. I understood that mistakes happen, so I didn't hold that against her. This time, however, I specifically communicated my concern to Kassie. She recommended a different tool that she described as being "cut proof." When I arrived for my scheduled facial, I was told the tool was broken and that we should reschedule. I had already rearranged my work schedule and made arrangements for my animals to accommodate the appointment. I asked whether there was another service I could receive instead, but was told they didn't offer anything else and that we should simply reschedule. Kassie then suggested calling in a prescription for acne. I provided the necessary information, went to the pharmacy, waited in line, and then discovered the prescription had been sent to the wrong pharmacy. I had to drive to another location, adding roughly another 45 minutes to an hour to an already wasted appointment. A few days later, I returned for my facial and paid around $350. I also asked about fitting in another facial before my wedding, and Kassie told me to call and schedule one. The next day, I noticed an additional $100 charge. When I asked about it, Sarah told me it was a cancellation fee. I explained that I had not canceled the appointment -- Kassie had asked me to reschedule because the tool they intended to use was unavailable. At no point during that interaction was I told that I would be charged a $100 cancellation fee. I would have been much more understanding if this had been clearly communicated to me at the time. Instead, I was charged after the fact and then told that it was simply the clinic's policy. I tried to resolve the issue respectfully over text during business hours. After several messages went unanswered, I received an automatic reply stating that the clinic would be unavailable for several days. I responded that I wished the issue could have been addressed before she was away because I felt the charge was unfair and had never been explained to me. Sarah's response was extremely hostile. She took offense to my referring to her being "on vacation," even though I was simply referring to the automatic message saying she would be unavailable. The conversation escalated from there, and I was ultimately told that I was no longer welcome at the clinic -- one week before my wedding. The $100 itself wasn't the issue. It was the lack of communication, the fact that I was charged for an appointment I did not cancel, and the way my concerns were handled when I tried to address them. I have spent thousands of dollars at this clinic and expected basic professionalism and customer service. Instead, I left feeling disrespected and extremely disappointed. Although Kassie is nice to work with, I would never work with Sarah again.

Let…read moreme start by saying I've been waxed many times before going to Clearwater (Lori), and will also say I live in River Falls, where Lori self proclaims to be the best at waxing in this town. I clearly stated I was there for a leg and bikini wax, with a strip of hair left on my pubic bone two finger widths wide (2x3 in). The clients that she had prior to my appointment were just leaving as I was coming in, a woman with a strong British accent and her daughter... Two very thin beautiful ladies. (I really hope that woman or her daughter reads this.) The unprofessionalism began right then as she started to complain to me (a brand new client) about this other client about what a "pain in her ass" they are with coming in, taking up appointments, when all they need is a couple of hairs removed from below the belly button, but "on the bright side she pays cash"... High maintenance women disgust her-- that was made apparent. I'm wondering, "Ummmm this is your loyal, every two-three weeks, cash paying client... Why would you ever complain about that? Especially to another client who's also from the same town and may know her or someone who does.." Very, very tacky and I didn't appreciate knowing what should be very private client information,,, umm will the next person hear all about me??? Ok so about the waxing, after talking my ever-loving-ear off about waxing although as stated I'd had many waxings previously ... (She loves the sound of her own voice and clearly is her own biggest fan)... She started off by telling me to get on the table and down on elbows and knees with my butt in the air as she starts the bikini wax first. Let's please talk about THE MOST HUMILIATING POSITION you can be put into?? This was it trust me. I couldn't believe what was happening. I felt SO VIOLATED! She continued the waxing and TALKED AND TALKED AT ME, talking irritatingly about her family and her new husband and his ROTTEN kids and mother in law who still carries her husbands balls around in her purse, and her ex-husband and everyone at St. Bridget's parish who had wrongly ostracized her because she divorced her ex who has debilitating MS and proceeded to tell me how she put him in a nursing home, blah blah blah,,, meanwhile my waxing experience by now has become her aggression and anger release session. She was aggressive and subsequently pain-inducing as she angrily ripped off each strip of wax. I was so offended and in total disbelief at what had turned into this FREAK SHOW I'd been subjected to, and at my expense. As initially stated I wanted a bikini wax with a two finger width strip of hair left on my pubic bone. At the end of my waxing I paid her to get the hell out of there, never having been given a mirror to see "down there" and was in so much pain dared not touch, but later determined that she had ripped off ALL THE HAIR, and me ending up with a Brazilian. I also found areas on my legs where there was still hair--she had not done a thorough job there ironically as I'm bald down below. I grumbled about it to my husband for nearly two weeks so angry at how I stupidly laid there and let her treat me that way and then paid for a terrible service that was not what id asked for on top of all the other BS she'd railroaded me with. I finally called her to ask if I could come in talk to her and show her the long hair still left in my legs as well as the fact that id asked for hair left in my bikini area, but she's removed it all. She was irritated as though how dare I complain or question her, after all she's self proclaimed" the best around". She set me an appointment but later called back to inform me she was returning my fees, mailing it to my house and "find another waxer"... No kidding just like that end of discussion... So I now go to waxing the city in Woodbury, MN who are everything you want in a waxing salon/Cerologists, and they're super professional, respectful and discreet. Loooove them! I go to Jamie. She is an Amazing Cerologist and so super sweet!
