Shame on me for not asking if the endoscopy was free. I walked out of the visit after paying my co-pay thinking that was that. A week later I received a bill for almost $700 of which my insurance covered less than half. I called the doctor's billing office five times over the next few weeks and was always told someone would call me back after speaking with the doctor. Nobody ever did. Finally, the doctor agreed to knock 20% off the bill as a "professional courtesy." Sorry, but true courtesy would have included an upfront description of the price of the procedure. Beware!

I had not been to a physician for an annual check up since prior to college when it was mandatory,…read morebut figured it was about time (currently in my late 20's). I was dreading the appointment because typically doctors reprimand you for your lifestyle (i.e. If you have more than 2 drinks per month you're an alcoholic, etc.) and it's demeaning with respect to social standards. I try to keep healthy but I'm not perfect. Anyway, Dr. Pearson was the first doctor I've been to who treated me like a real person & listened intently to my concerns. She spent over 30 minutes with me (again, this was just a proactive check up) and by the time I left I felt like a VIP patient. Then within a few days after the appointment, she personally called me to deliver my test results (all positive) and patiently walked me through each section, explaining areas I did not understand. Moreover, she talks to you in layman terms, translating the medical jargon into coherent facts. I'm actually excited that I have such a wonderful regular physician! I certainly won't be dreading my regular checkups anymore. Seriously, Dr. Pearson is the best!!

DO NOT RECCOMEND! I had a introductory visit with Claudine Kasinak 3/7/24 to talk about my…read morefertility options as I was having a hard time getting pregnant. Dr. Kasinak asked me a total of 3-4 questions (the generic How old when you had your first period? Are your periods regular? How long have you been trying), and that was the extent of the visit. She simply looked at me and told me I looked healthy so everything would be fine, that I should keep trying, and that I was only stressing myself out. I tried to ask if we could run tests or talk about fertility options, and she dismissed me, saying there was no point because I was only stressing myself out. She saw that I got upset with the answer and said if I still wasn't pregnant by August, to come back to discuss the options at that point. I made an appointment with a different OB a week later, who ACTUALLY LISTENED to my concerns, and she ran tests and saw I did have a fertility issue and had to go through IVF. Not to mention, I was charged $343 for Dr. Kasinak asking me three questions and dismissing me after less than 10 minutes. While my insurance paid for part of this, I still had to pay $186 out of pocket, and for what? If I had listened to her, I still would not be pregnant. It was a terrible experience and OB, in my opinion. I advise you to stay away.

Front Desk staff demeanor was incredibly rude and condescending! When I informed them that I only had an electronic copy of my insurance card Front desk lady started huffing and puffing, visibly in distress. She provided me the email, and spelled out " G-E-N-E-R-A-L" as if it is not common spelling. I emailed it to them as I do with other providers, and as I was waiting in the waiting area she calls me over by gesturing with her hand instead of calling me by name, also very professional. She said "The image is too large", and in case I didn't understand they also took the time to print it out into several sheets of paper, which she then preceded to show me one by one. And when I told them that I didn't have a copy of the back side, she about almost lost it! Case in point, I am not sure what the deal was and had I not been there out of medical necessity I would have walked away in a heart beat, but I have been to many other medical providers and until yesterday never had I been treated with such disrespect. It is the first impression you make of your practice and it was not a good one. I would advice that you give your Front Staff some additional breaks so they don't become so overwhelmed by small simple tasks. Or perhaps some additional training with computer software so they know how to make a large image into a smaller one.
