I hate to do this and I've been going there for years but had a terrible experience with the daughter of the owner and possibly her mother ... they had been tailoring my pants and all of the sudden, they said that they cannot do it! Because the pants are not the same brand. Girl, I was a FIT model and a fashion model for 18 years combined. The prices are probably a bit more than we were hoping to spend, but we have not had any issues with their service. We also left a wedding favor in one of the pants pockets, and they recovered it for us in a separate bag. Parking is really convenient. There's a shared lot with the other businesses in the plaza. I've been to Freshline for quite some time, and they haven't failed me, but lately, it wasn't very pleasant. I had a badly treated jacket that needed extra care as I did not have the time to get it to them at a quicker date. I left my coat, and when I picked it up, I was impressed with the cleanup done, but after a thorough inspection, I realized that the sleeves were not touched upon like they needed to be. I took the time to return it but only to be met by an older lady who, instead of working with me to come up with a solution, turned it away and said there was nothing else they could do. She insisted that the jacket smelled like perfume, which it did before the clean, but the sleeves shouldn't smell musty with a hint of the cologne. I did not want to get more frustrated as I already was and I knew she was trying to turn me away. I did not like how she was dismissive and even insinuated that I didn't read the label on the care instructions as she stated, "Next time, read the label." What I do know is that I'm taking it to a decent cleaner spot that hasn't let me down and as a customer, I know at the very least the cleaners is the best option. How about you take a piece out of your advice and actually pay attention to what the customer's saying? I'm coming back to the cleaners because I know that there's details that wasn't touched upon. I didn't come to hear the common sense you should've applied towards the care of the coat. How about you lay that same energy back into the sleeves that I'm telling you about? The quality of the dry cleaning is excellent for all kinds of clothes but especially for those designer clothes we cherish for years. If you sign up for emails they have specials on the weekend so don't miss out. They do great alterations as the tailor is there everyday it makes it so easy. The place is absolutely spotless and set off Ventura Blvd so easy access to parking. Be aware that lunch times it is busy and less parking because of the restaurant so I usually go off peak times. They have pick and delivery service too which is great if you need it. Unfortunately the worst cleaners experience I've had in my entire life! God knows I don't waste my time writing negative reviews, but I don't want this to happen to anyone else. I told them to be careful with these pants because I need them for my Dubai trip. When I went to pick it up the elastic on my pants were ruined and when I confronted them about it they said they were already like that. When I pleaded with them to be honest about it, that it was their mistake, the simply said "well we don't guarantee elastic." JUST dropped off sentimental goods to FRESHLINE CLEANERS in Encino, CA and posting the BEFORE picture. I'll post the AFTER in TWO WEEKS (Oct 5,2019! They are restoring torn leather in two places, one on the seam and one not, both on the left arm near elbow. There are also odd bits to do like replacing the buttons to match, hemming some seamed areas coming undone, cutting the belt where it's falling apart- and I'm smaller than dad so it will fit me. Then CLEANING it. I can't wait to see the AFTER!! I am def putting my faith in freshline and I've never been here but I listened to you yelpers (thank you). So, I thought I'd pay it forward and post myself which maybe could help someone else who has very sentimental irreplaceable items needing repair. The item is: my fathers custom made leather overcoat/Jacket made between 1955 and 1970 for him in New York City. (My father passed away 30 years ago). See you in two weeks with the results! Xo ONE DAY EARLY AND ITS READY!!! I am FLOORED! Two other places said it was not repairable but FRESHLINE in Encino took this at least 50-year old LEATHER jacket and restored it!!! I am so THRILLED with the results that it almost felt like my FATHER was gonna pop right back INTO his jacket! How interesting that they found almost identical patterning from the lapel and belt and stitching on the pockets, and MATCHED it to repair the giant leather tears on the elbow! We decided to try Freshline Cleaners for weekly "fluff and fold" linen service because of their proximity to our home and we must sadly report that they are NOT reputable. We dropped off two (2) sets of King linens (four (4) sheetS and eight (8) pillow cases. When weI picked up the order I was staggered by the bill - $44.00! When I asked what the order weighed I was told that one package of linens weight eight (8) plus pounds and the second weighed slightly under eight (8) pounds. We paid and when we got home we weighed both packages separately with a very accurate scale. One weighed five (5) pounds and the second weighed 5.75 pounds. We were overcharged based on weigh by more than five (5) pounds at $3.00 per pound. IF YOU NEED LAUNDRY SERVICE FIND A MORE HONEST CLEANER. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND Freshline. read more
