I went to Soho Lounge for a girls' night with friends and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I am usually a little hesitant about lounges but this is easily one of the better ones in the Atlanta area. Parking One of the first things I appreciated was the parking situation. You actually have options here. Valet was twenty dollars which I chose, or you can park for free yourself. A lot of lounges make you pay for parking so I thought this was a nice touch. Atmosphere and Seating I found the lounge through a quick Google search and was drawn in by the fact that they had both a live band and the legendary DJ Frank Ski performing that night. The vibe is definitely mature with people dressed in linen suits, nice dresses and heels. I did not make a reservation and arrived about forty five minutes after opening. At that point the bar was already full and the only free option was a shared section for walk-ins. Honestly it worked out well. The section easily fit twelve to fifteen people and we had more than enough space. I strongly recommend making a reservation if you want your own table. Food and Drinks The menu is pretty limited but I split the seafood plate with a friend. It came with fried catfish, shrimp, and potato rounds. Everything was hot, well seasoned, and came out quickly. For drinks I had two French 75s with cognac and they were made perfectly balanced and smooth. Service Our server Taya was wonderful. She was attentive, friendly, and patient with all of our questions. The only hiccup was with the hookah service. On the refill the hookah was not pulling correctly and it took a little back and forth before they swapped it out. Once it was fixed we were good to go. Make sure you read ALL ticket details carefully. I was attending a special event with a few friends at this venue. We RSVP'd online. I don't know many "grown and sexy" people who want to head out and stand all night but when we arrived that is exactly what we were told ... the ticket details we entered online were for entry ONLY. If we wanted to SIT, the price point started at $300 ... at 7:30 p.m.! Noted. We tried to get a seat at the bar. Also reserved. Never ever ever have I visited a lounge or bar where bar seats are also reserved. What "went well:" the venue is beautiful and spacious. There is plenty of room for PAID seating. The DJ was on it ! Not so good: Not ONE vegetarian option on the short menu. Like the seats, the food is overpriced. And yet this place seems to do well. Everything ain't for everybody ‍. By the time we left ~9:30 the parking lot was packed, drinks seemed to be flowing and people were happily indulging in the smoke option of choice. If you want a fun night out with minimally dressed servers and a club vibe with slightly (maybe) more "mature" crowd, this is your spot. If I can give half a star I would..I didnt get to experience anything, my girlfriends came from out of town to celebrate, we had a 1pm reservation, paid 125.00 cover charge a month in advance came to the location and the all the doors are closed!! No staff, covers still on the couch, the lights were completely off and no one answered the phone. This is bad business!! Attended celebration for CEO who purchased a section and had bottles and food. I purchased a drink outside the prescribed offerings and was charged $22 for the drink and subsequently $100. I don't like shady people, shady businesses or shady dealings. Im big on integrity and ethics. So if this is how you operate Im not pleased. You can't even eat or sit at a table without buying a $320 section that includes a $40 bottle of liquor. They are literally charging you $320 for to sit down. Be aware that there is NO where to sit unless you PURCHASE a section. Also be aware that they charge a random 20 percent service fee. The bartenders and servers informed me that that is not their tip. The restaurant is randomly charging patrons a 20 percent fee. This place is truly beautiful. It's a spot for 45 plus crowd. I walked in and the lights were still bright so you can see the ambiance and everything in it. Great live music, beautiful place. No where to sit and the cigar smell was not that bad because the space is huge. I would definitely go back if i'm looking to be apart of the 45+ crowd. This place is TRASH. This was my first time going this past Saturday. I did have a "free" reservation up until 10 PM. They told me that they will seat us in a reserved space, but we will have to move at 10 PM because another party of people has reserved the space. So, we asked them to put us in another non-reserved spot. They "said" all spaces were reserved, which I highly doubted because at 10, only 1/3 of the seats were filled. The restaurant is great from an ambiance and customer service standpoint. The music is great plus the finishing of the lounge as a whole. However, I was disappointed that they automatically put a 20% service charge which is actually not a tip. I had to add extra money because the server does not get any of the 20% service charge. I really like the vibe... the music, the ambiance. However, the waitresses' uniform is so tacky. I would have expected better because the place is actually classy. They impose a dress code and everything. I just hate how every time I turn around, a waitress' naked ass is in my face. Even the men have complained that it's giving strip club vibes. I wanted to have my bday celebration there, but quickly changed my mind. Black biz owners have got to stop objectifying black women. July 4, 2025 happy hour at 5pm and the band scheduled to perform 7:30pm -10:00pm and a live performance by Neyo. We arrived at 8:15pm and the place was not crowded at all. There was less 20 people there. The band was not playing yet! The entire bar was reserved and all other seats were only available to sit in until 9:00 pm. After 9 pm we would have to stand or buy a bottle to remain sitting. The least expensive bottle to purchase was wine for $200. No band playing yet, no one in the club and have to pay minimum $200 for a bottle of wine and a seat. WOW... we politely left and partied at Whiskey Mistress where we are treated nicely and can choose how to spend well over $200 on food and drinks of our choice. This explains why I have never heard anyone speaking highly or speaking about SOHO at all. By the way, I was asked to walk around the ropes outside at the entrance, even though no one was in line. I believe this used to be Compound. Correct me if I'm wrong. But it's been completely renovated and is now a nearly upscale lounge and bar, with some modern outdoor gardens and stage. It was Halloween eve. Nervo was spinning and Soho was CROWDED. But I can't imagine what it must have been like at Opera. I had an awesome time at Soho Lounge. Good music and strong drinks, how can you go wrong? I wish I could describe the people for you, but everyone was dressed up in their Halloween best, so it's hard to say what kind of people usually hang out at Soho Lounge. My bottled Fiji water was $4, my rum and cokes were $9. Reasonable for a holiday event beverage, although the cups were borderline mouthwash size. Hope they don't always serve their beverages in such small quantities. I believe you could have bought a VIP table for $1,000 or so. We skipped the table, and thank goodness for my sneakers (Halloween ftw) since I felt like there was really no where to sit. I would love to come back on a normal night and check it out! read more

I arrived at Soho around 12:15 on a Monday night. Paid $20 to park across the street. No line, no wait. Even though it was after 12 they still honored my free to 12 rsvp (definite plus). Really nice lighting and set up, drinks were strong and they played a mixture of R&B and hip hop. It wasn't too crowded which was surprising since a popular rap artist was advertised to be there. I had called previously to check on the men's dress code and was told a collard shirt was a must but that was NOT the case as I saw men wearing everything from a hoody to a suit jacket. They allowed people to lounge around on the couches until the sections were sold so that was nice! Women actually danced here which is rare in the ATL. It did end up getting a good crowd closer to 2:00 am. Lights came on promptly at 2:55 to meet the 3am closing. Over all I had a good experience at Soho and would definitely try it again should I wish to brave going out again on a work night. It is in my opinion that all the special treatment was because they are trying to get a crowd base on a Monday night...not sure the concept will stick should the night become popular.
