The jalapeño corn and Brussels sprouts were both and packed with flavor. And then there was the Filthy Dirty Rich Martini with caviar-stuffed olives --AMAZING. Our waitress was wonderful and service was incredibly prompt which I appreciate because I have noticed that service on the island is generally more relaxed (i.e. slow). For appetizers we shared the baby gem salad and the pork bolognese. Both good but the pork bolognese was a small but mighty star. Pasta was perfectly al dente and we really enjoyed the goat cheese with the pork. For our mains we ordered the pork chop, halibut and mushroom lasagna. My mom wanted one scoop of gelato and asked about the available flavors. The server was very unclear, using "sorbet" and "gelato" interchangeably throughout the conversation. In the end, she ordered one scoop of "lemon gelato," as he described it, which should have been $3. So we were surprised when the bill came and showed a $14 charge for lemon sorbet--which wasn't even listed on the menu. When we pointed this out, the server responded in a pretty surly manner, though the charge was eventually corrected. After we paid, he brought over a scoop of vanilla gelato and said it was "on him," but the delivery felt sarcastic and he placed it on the table quite aggressively. By that point, we were already full and honestly just ready to leave.
