The amazing menu, a delicious red blend with a friendly game of Rummy!

Such a great little spot! Excellent wines for tasting. Delightful light fare menu but the best part is being able to play a card game (or board game) by the fire place!

Sangria with charcuterie board in progress.

Everything a wine lover could dream of! Not only do they have a HUGE selection of whites, reds and sangria, but they offer a selection of craft beer as well. The delicious pizzas and build your own charcuterie boards have something for everyone. I will also be coming back to participate in their craft class offerings!!! Don't hesitate to get in the car and share in this special ambiance. Carly and Brenda were knowledgeable and personable. An exceptional drinking and dining experience.

The chaqueterie and flatbread pizza was delicious. Nice selection of wine. Fun atmosphere and great service. We did a craft night as well.

Set in the downtown area of the coastal town of Plymouth Mass, Uva is this extremely charming SELF-SERVE wine bar featuring a wine list from around the world that is seemingly endless. With different oz pour options, you can easily work your way through a list of their offered wines to find your own favorites. In addition, Uva also features a "build your own" cheese board menu, flatbread pizzas and locally made desserts. Very creative & fun concept that delivers a unique experience with their cozy & welcoming atmosphere and great selection of wine for everyone to enjoy. Build Your Own Charcuterie Need I say more. A wonderful collection of cuts, crackers, and assorted cheese for you to choose from & enjoy. All-in all, the food is tremendous, excellent flavors with great presentation and wicked accommodating & friendly staff. If you ever find your way to Plymouth, be sure to drop by UVA.

    Christmas!

We had the best time here over Christmas weekend! We did wine tastings and found new favorites, and ordered two rounds of cheese and meats and olives, which also came with honey, mustard, raspberry preserves and an assortment of crackers. Such a fun place to pass the time with friends and family. The staff here are so friendly and helpful. We had a great evening!

Hummus, charcuterie and cheese platter. Everything fresh and yummy!

We arrived at 6:30 on a Wednesday evening. Got a table outside for 4 and there were a couple of parking spots right in front. FOOD: Excellent. The charcuterie and cheese platter had lots of choices and everything was fresh. Hummus bowl was a generous portion and the flatbread pizza was delicious. BAR: I've never been to a self serve wine bar. It was a pretty neat experience. You give your credit card info and get a plastic card with a chip. That card is inserted into a stainless steel box, you choose which wine you'd like and how much of a pour - 1.5, 3 or 6 ounces. Put your glass under the spout and out comes your wine! The prices for each are displayed and below each spot is a description of the wine and the alcohol content. I'd recommend snapping a photo of your choice so you can remember it for the next time. If you chose an amount, but the bottle ran out before the correct fill, the system is smart enough to charge you only the prorated amount and notifies the wine gods the bottle needs refilling. They are very prompt so within 5 minutes I was able to go back in and fill my glass. There is a range of wine to choose from, I feel the prices are mostly in line with what I would pay if ordering wine by the glass off a menu. When you are ready to leave, you hand the card to the cashier and your credit card is charged for what you purchased. SERVICE: Outstanding. You won't find a nicer group of folks. Full of energy, smiles and we felt very well taken care of. The process is fully explained and all our questions were answered. We never felt rushed and at one point we needed space for the pizza, so the server grabbed a chair and set that up for us. ATMOSPHERE: It was a beautiful evening in Plymouth. There are several tables outside and a couple indoor seating options. As the sun was going down, there was a pesky flying beetle that would not leave us alone. I'll bring my little travel zapper next time :). My only recommendation is to turn the music down a bit. It was challenging to hear the instructions as the cashier/host table is near the front door which is where the speakers are. Couple that with trying to hear someone speaking through a mask. It was a little frustrating and we had to ask a few times for repeat directions. There are plenty of bottles of hand sanitizer around, so once I got my card I slathered it, as there was no sign indicating they are sanitized. I also have finger cots that I use to press the wine button selections, but, as sanitizer is plentiful, that will do the job, too!

Such a great spot for a casual drink or an event! Wine is poured but the size (different oz amount for taste, 1/2 glass, etc). The wines rotate and staff are great in helping you find what you're looking for! We went on a night where there was live music and it was very relaxing- a great vibe! I definitely recommending checking this place out for the cozy atmosphere and great wines. The cheese boards are great too!

    So many choices of wine!

Delicious wine and food. Also the nicest people work here! So much fun! Highly recommend!

I have never been to a place like this but I really loved the atmosphere, and the selection of wine. When you first walk in you welcomed by the the people behind the desk who then assign a card to you which you will use while getting wine. When selecting your wine they have everything broken down into different kinds of wine (like Chardonnay, Rosè etc.) as well as a small descriptions of the wine it's self. After getting my wine I had a seat at a small square table, they had a small menu of things you could order while drinking your wine which I thought was nice. The place itself was very large for something like that, with a large fire place and table with seating near the back. If you're into things like this it's definitely something to try. I'll be back for sure

A few of my girlfriends and I went to Uva Wine bar back in October. Talk about a gem of a place! The charcuterie board and flatbread pizzas were amazing! I simply love how you can taste all of their wines to decide which one you want to have a full glass of. It is the most perfect idea and very much what downtown Plymouth needed! Abby took care of us and she was super knowledgeable about the wines and knew exactly which ones I would like and which ones I wouldn't. Katy and Michelle have an amazing thing going for sure! If you have not been to Uva Wine bar yet, you are very much missing out. So perfect for a girl's night out or a double date! My girlfriends and I will definitely be back!

Calling all wine lovers! This is your place. I have always been a wine lover, but more recently I've thrown myself into the wine field by becoming WSET LEVEL 2 wine certified, working as a wine consultant and part time for Total Wine and More. I've been to many wineries and even though this is quite different from the rest, it was my favorite. They have an outside too. Upon walking in your giving a card (kind of like a card that you would get at the arcade). And, you would choose your wine pour using this card by inserting this into the wine station. It can be for a 1 oz pour for just a taste or a full pour. At the end it will tell you how much you owe. They had about 46 different ones to choose from. With so much variety, I had a hard time choosing, so I think I ended up tasting at least seven or eight different wines. And, they also have an option to buy the bottles as well which I thought was a great idea. I think it would be really fun for a bachelorette party. We were also able to order some cheeses and meats to pair with our wines. I highly recommend visiting with your friends especially if they enjoy wine. It was so much fun, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and I absolutely loved it. I cannot wait to go back.

UVA Wine Bar has it all. The atmosphere is very welcoming. The Wine list is endless. The charcuterie boards are top notch along with my personal favorite the "figgy Pizza". You can lounge in the back by a fireplace or hang upfront and listen to great live music. Lots to like about this place! Highly recommend!

I absolutely love Uva! It is a great spot to go with friends and get a charcuterie board and wine before lunch or dinner in downtown Plymouth. It's casual yet really nice, and self serve wine! It's a really good place to try wines you may have never had, Need I say more. We just hosted a bridal shower there this passed weekend and it was amazing! From the set up, to food, clean up etc, we were so impressed. Everything looked beautiful and we had a blast. It was nice to do a non traditional brunch and replace it with wine tasting, charcuterie, buffet style pizza and salad. The bride loved it and all the guests were raving. The space is so cozy with the fire place but also light and airy, perfect for a cold February day. It's decorated so nicely that we really didn't need to bring too many decorations which made it so easy. For guests who don't like wine, they had mimosas and lots of craft beer can options too! The staff was awesome at helping us set up and clean up whatever we needed. Katy the owner was wonderful to work with. If you're looking for an event space for anything of about 50 people or less I highly recommend considering Uva! We had a little over 40 people and it was a perfect set up. They do a lot of other events like crafting, live music etc that I would love to go to sometime.

We got the Brie and Hummus as an appetizer, and it was both sweet and savory. The roasted garlic and raisins were a unique touch. More bread would be preferred. Bread for the table is available upon request, and is sort of skimpy. But honestly, it's probably so your appetite isn't spoiled. For dinner, I got the filet and it was to die for! Absolutely divine! Other people at my table ordered the steak with parmesan fries, scallops, and pear salad. Everyone was impressed. We ended with Espresso Martinis and the Mud Pie for dessert. The pie was INCREDIBLE! I was expecting pudding or a trifle of some sort, but it was actually more like an ice cream pie with heath that just melted in your mouth. My table of 6 shared it. Our waitress was a little abrasive at first, but she grew on us and steered us in the right direction menu-wise. I will absolutely be back!

We started with a few appetizers (arancini and shrimp in a sauce, plus bread service). These were good, the shrimp was a clear hit with our table. However, most of these were discarded the next day since the extra salt was even more noticeable. Easy to get to, easy to get a table, good drinks and appetizers. Our server was lovely, came over right away with menus, and checked in regularly throughout the meal. We started with a baby arugula salad that we split, which was very generously portioned with parmesan, fresh lemon, and tuscan olive oil - while fairly simple, it was delicious and a great start to the meal. For dinner, my fiend ordered the linguine carbonara, which was very generously portioned, with bacon, a poached egg, cream, and peas. What I will say is if you read these bad reviews you might be surprised at what people complain about. But, on a more positive note, this will be my 3rd time dining here and everytime has been wonderful (hence my title). The food, ambiance, drinks, etc. you really can't go wrong with any of them. And, the drive there is also stunning. Duxbury as you know is a beautiful beach and golf city with million dollar homes along the way. Cha-Ching! I arrived a little early while I waited for my friend to arrive. The restaurant was not overly crowded which was good for a Friday evening. We sat right near the fireplace which was super nice. When my friend arrived we started with some drinks. Then we were so torn as to what to order so we started with their Tuna Crudo. My favorite since it was super fresh, melt in your mouth sashimi. Yummy! Then we shared a salad which was just ok. For entrees, she ordered the Linquine Vongole which looked good but a huge portion. I ordered Fluke for the first time and although it wasn't what I am used to, I still enjoyed it. We passed on dessert and had coffee with amaro; they have some nice after dinner drinks. When we arrived, the restaurant was not busy, but they told us they were not ready for us so we set at the bar and waited; not a problem because I am sure they do not have an abundance of staff scheduled. Bar service was great! We were seated after 15 minutes. We sat outside. The food was good; not great, not bad. It was expensive, but I knew the prices going in. The really disappointing aspect was the service. Our waitress had four tables, including us (3 tables of 2 people, 1 table of 4 people). The waitress was kind, but REALLY inattentive to us. I had to ask for silverware three times. I had to stop the waitress after about 15 minutes of waiting to ask if we could put in another drink order, get some water and order appetizers. Part of the pricing of the menu, I assumed, was great service; and it just wasn't there. I did not want/need my hand held, but I expected at least the service I would get at a 99 or Friendly's. I mentioned it to the hostess upon leaving, and even spoke to the restaurant manager when checking out because she happened to be there. I did not want or need anything comped or for free, but just wanted to provide feedback from a first time customer who was staying at the resort. The hostess that night listen to my concern and apologized, the manager really wanted nothing to do with me because they were seating parties for lunch. Again, food was good and the service was just not good.
