My favorite classes are the yoga sculpt classes! I went to one this weekend and noticed that the instructor Heidi brings in her own small, cold cloths that are usually soaked in an essential oil and hands them out to the attendees to borrow for the end of class. It's heavenly! I wish Yogabox would do this for every class and not wait for instructors to use their own money to add this feature. It's a value added touch that I've seen in other studios out of state and it's so appreciated because of how hot we get after the class. I hope management listens to this before other studios catch on! read more

Absolutely loved Junior's sculpt class today at 4 pm! Junior is such a kind, down to earth, warm and engaging instructor. He provides modifications and allows you to go at your pace that you are comfortable with, all while encouraging you to push yourself to the best of your abilities. His playlist is also amazing with music that will get you flowing! I was dripping in sweat after his workout, which is a great indicator to how amazing the sets were! Yoga box in Hillcrest is always clean, organized, and has the most friendly staff. They provide mats and towels (free for first time) and $2 thereafter. The room is heated to around 90 degrees and it feels like a warm hug whilst you are working out. Occasionally, the instructors will open the doors to allow fresh air in during the classes. They have cold filtered water as well as a bathroom inside the studio. They have weights and blocks for you to use depending on what class you're taking. There is free parking, but it's shared with other establishments in the plaza, so make sure to get there early enough to secure your spot. They recommend you come 10 Minutes earlier than your scheduled class to settle in. That feeling you get after finishing a tough workout does wonders for the soul! I joined this studio a few days ago and am really enjoying it so far. The facility is clean, parking is easy and free at this location, instructors are great, and the price point is amazing. Knocking off a star because I'm hoping they take this suggestion to improve and it'll easily be a 5 star - the instructors keep the doors open WAY too much, and it cools down the room far below what's expected. Online, sculpt says the temp is set between 93-95 degrees. I can see the thermostat on the wall, and we ranged from 86-90 the entire class. This is the 4th different hot yoga studio I've been to and it's easily the coolest. Throughout the class, she maintained high energy, and the flow was both classically fluid and actively stimulating. I think the Hillcrest location is my favorite one! The room is huge and spacious and there's plenty of ample parking in the shared lot with the grocery store and bank. I love that this studio has late classes including evening weekend classes. Starting off my Sunday with an evening stretch feels so good! Katy is great with adjustments and is so supportive, I go every Saturday! SARA Tuesday 7PM is a real one; she makes me feel so welcome and I absolutely love her flow, music, and sequence. PATTY M has a few different classes, I love how genuine Patty is and her Sculpt classes are tough! SIENNA Wednesday 7PM is also a new favorite of mine; she has a great speaking voice making it easy to follow! Yoga Box is my second home now. I love how there is always room for improvement, the instructors always give options to push yourself further or take it easy if needed. I've been a member since December 2023, love everything this workout. Classes are need the same, every instructor brings so much to every class. All the classes are hard, it's a full 60 minutes of hard work, mixed with some cardio, weights and dripping sweat. I love it and can't recommend it enough. I only to the 6am classes in Hillcrest. I've been a YogaBox girlie for about 8 months now. I've always wanted to be that person who got up at 5 am to workout and now I finally am. Jazmine in Hillcrest, Sky in PB, and Bianca in Northpark are seriously the best! These ladies are my sole reason to get up early because I am looking forward to their classes. They all do a great job of focusing on the specific body group for that day. My biggest pet peeve about some instructors is their lack of focus on the assigned muscle group. There's been a few times where the class gets too hot, especially now in the summer. It's not really a problem in the early morning, but I've been to a few evening/mid-day classes and it is just too much. Pleaseeee don't cook us alive in there! Opening the door when its 85 degrees out doesn't provide much relief, so it's better to just start the class off a little cooler in the summertime. Most of us are too shy to say anything so please be aware as an instructor :) Overall great community and great workouts! read more

Most classes are heated but kept at bearable levels, or even just heated to our own produced body heat during those hot summer days. The teachers are highly motivating and inspiring, makes it easy to make it back regularly. Deepest gratitude for this place Membership fee is a reasonable amount, billed monthly. Cancellation of membership is an easy E-mail. Must cancel minimum of 7 days before next billing cycle. My first email for cancellation (due to leaving the area) did not go through but when I was charged, I had sent an email and it was fixed right away with no hesitation. Highly recommend Yoga Box. I absolutely love Yoga Box. It feels amazing to have a home studio in San Diego. This spot is a regular, reliable part of my week. The classes are always amazing and challenging. Every class is different and keeps things exciting. They uplift me and have helped me build strength and confidence. The level of heat is perfect, and I like the fun, colorful lights during class. You can rent towels and mats if you need it. They have water fountains to fill your bottles, clean bathrooms, and plenty of storage to keep your stuff during class. I also appreciate that they're on Class Pass as my work schedule is so inconsistent that sometimes I need to go to other studios in order to get a work out in. read more

This was the worst experience. I definitely don't recommend this location. It's Halloween I have a 5am class, I get there at 5:01 to the door trying to enter and it's locked. The reception girl sees me, stands at her desk looking at her phone, then walks back in the other room as I am knocking with all my stuff in my hand. I've never been treated like this in my experience of going to cross fit/pilates/other workout classes. If I could give a 0 I definitely would. Any other locations staff has always been so welcoming, but I guess the reception girl wanted to join the workout (my friend who went to the class said when she went in she joined the workout). read more

I love coming here! My best friend got me back into hot yoga after covid and I forgot how much I love it. Tuesday morning at 7:30am with Jenna is my fav class to go to. She keeps it calm & grounded, and balances the perfect amount of strength building and stretching. Merrita's sculpt class at 5:30am on Tuesdays is also great - she's super spunky and has great energy. (I haven't yet worked up the courage to do the two back to back .) Also, an underrated perk is that their studio doesn't smell like sweat!! My BFF also says they have the best water ever but I am yet to try it, LOL. read more

AWESOME hot yoga studio!!! Raced to take a long awaited sculpt like heated class while visiting SD & so happy I did!! The instructor was super friendly & wow wow wow such a fun fast class! I workout everyday, no rest days, yet still felt the soreness the next day so you know it was legit! I love the yoga box instructors but beware of getting locked out of class if more than 1 minute late. I had trouble finding parking on a busy Friday and when I walked up to my 1:30 class at 1:31 the doors were already locked.... I understand the safety precaution but definitely not accommodating with the parking. It's seems easy have someone at the front desk watching for late comers for the first 5 minutes. read more

The price is considerably cheaper than other studios, so you do get what you pay for. The teachers were great but I found the dark rooms and colored lighting to be a little stressful, so if you're looking for more of a zen space this may not be your cup of tea. The floors are very hard which was beginning to take a toll after consistent sculpt classes that required a lot of jumping. The bathrooms are unisex at most locations and because they were in the studio, many didn't wear shoes inside so it always felt a little unsanitary. While they spray things down after class, most other studios offer wipes to clean your equipment before and after, which would be a great addition. I love, love heated yoga but the studio gets VERY hot, where it was beginning to limit me, rather than enhance my practice. You have to reserve a class spot in advanced which I found to be frustrating because some classes were very popular and would book up fast. I was paying for unlimited, however if I didn't book some classes fast enough (sometimes a week in advanced) I'd be waitlisted. There is a cancellation fee for class and an 8 hour notice is required to not be charged a fee. It's great motivation to get to class but if something came up, it was not ideal. All this being said, Yogabox is a great studio if you're looking a HITT/vinyasa style yoga practice for a reasonable price with limited amenities. I just have found a better mind/body connection and peacefulness at a different studio which is what I look for from my yoga practice. read more

Has anyone told you they loved you today? Do yourself a favor and go to Andre's class, he will tell you over and over! This was my first time visiting this studio with their 3 free classes for your first week. I've been to plenty of yoga classes over the year but the love and energy in the room tonight was unmatched! He had me smiling, giggling and having fun throughout the hour. I went to an advanced Power Vinyasa Flow class, while it was challenging he supported everyone to go at their own pace and that it was really a class for everyone that has a handful of advanced students, and the pace wasn't too fast. Great variety of music too, with traditional yogi music, the Beatles and the more current (and one of my favorites) Le Youth. Can't wait for my next class with Andre! read more

This is a terrific little studio. I came across it last year and tried their free 3-day trial and loved it right away. I really like Yoga Sculpt and they offer it 7 mornings per week which is perfect for my schedule. Additionally, something unique to YB is each morning a different body area is targeted, like "legs and core" or "back and arms"... etc. You know exactly what you're in for that morning and can plan accordingly.
