Definitely one of the most carefully crafted yoga studios I have ever been to. You sort of feel like you've been transported to somewhere in Southeast Asia. I love that there are heat lamps, blankets, and other accessories for use during the class. Although, the space is epic I didn't really find enjoyment in the class. It was supposed to be a relaxing low impact yoga class focusing on slow movements but I didn't really feel that at all. The instructor was nice but I found her transitions were confusing and sometimes didn't make sense. She wasn't really saying the name of the poses either. To me the instructions felt like I was taking a Pilates class. We were also holding the poses in my opinion way too long to the point I was actually feeling pain. And some poses were really advanced and didn't make me feel relaxed at all. I personally do not like it when there are lyrics in the music when I do yoga. Although it was more mellow indie songs I found it extremely hard to focus and it was kind of loud too. I would prefer just non lyrical relaxing music. At least for the part where we just sit/lay down towards the end. In summary, I don't think I would come back. I am used to donation based yoga around San Diego. If you want more traditional yoga I would just stick to the free classes around town.

The studio is clean and light, and they have a lot of nice equipment to use as far as blocks, bolsters, and blankets. I've been to a variety of types of classes here, but most recently I did a deep healing class taught by Tiffinie. It was pure magic and my body needed that. 75 minutes of slow postures that are held for a little bit longer, mobility exercises, and breathing. I will definitely return and I'd like to make it more of a habit to visit the studio. Plus, there's a great smoothie shop next-door and tasty coffee available at the brewery just down the street!

His playlist is also amazing with music that will get you flowing! I was dripping in sweat after his workout, which is a great indicator to how amazing the sets were! Yoga box in Hillcrest is always clean, organized, and has the most friendly staff. They provide mats and towels (free for first time) and $2 thereafter. The room is heated to around 90 degrees and it feels like a warm hug whilst you are working out. Occasionally, the instructors will open the doors to allow fresh air in during the classes. They have cold filtered water as well as a bathroom inside the studio. They have weights and blocks for you to use depending on what class you're taking. There is free parking, but it's shared with other establishments in the plaza, so make sure to get there early enough to secure your spot. They recommend you come 10 Minutes earlier than your scheduled class to settle in. That feeling you get after finishing a tough workout does wonders for the soul! The only downside was how many people were in the class. It was super crowded, but they did a good job spacing everyone out so that you still had your own little area without bumping into anyone. The studio itself was very clean and had a calming, relaxing vibe that made it easy to unwind. Overall, it was a refreshing experience. If I was not moving to Chicago, I would definitely sign up for the membership.

There are ton of play activities for the kids: blue climbing mountain with slides, cool spaceship looking merry go rounds, swings, climbing, obstacle courses, etc. There are tons of tables, benches, and lots of shady areas for picnics or relaxing while the kids play. Something to note is that there is only one park, so big dogs are combined with small ones. Theres a small obstacle course for dogs to jump and run through. And for the humans, there's also a few benches on the side to sit at.

There are four big pine trees with separate retaining walls around three of them for owners to sit down. With it being so close to the bay, there's often a nice breeze that goes through the park. There's no divide between small dogs and big dogs, so it's best to just keep an eye on your dog, and many owners around here are usually respectful. The street parking immediately adjacent to the park is free, however, it has a limit of 30 minutes, and the parking meter workers are strict on it if they're around. I bring my dog here around lunch time because those who live/ work in the area tend to bring their dogs during their break time and my dog gets his socialization time. They close 8am-11am MWF for maintenance/ cleaning. Currently, both gates are broken so it's not as secure as it should be, and who knows when the city will actually fix it. There're a few agility structures and a water dispenser. The children's park itself looks pretty cool for kids with a lot of structures with slides and swings. There's also another separate area with fixed exercise equipment that looks well- maintained. The water feature in the park is a water feature, not a pool.

I have been taking Mara's Thursday night class ("Upward and Onward" Asanas for Inversions and Strength) for a couple of weeks now, and can't speak highly enough of her. What a wonderful class. It's inspired, challenging, and creative though focused, coherent, safe, and encouraging. Her own practice is outstanding without being pretentious, and her teaching style strikes an expert balance between precision and compassion. I have been practicing now for a couple of years, and this is just the type of class I have been looking for. Its aim is to increase strength and flexibility for inversions and presses, but it doesn't sacrifice traditional yoga philosophy to do it. Mara exudes authenticity and care, but pushes hard enough to keep you coming back (as if her effortless presses weren't inspiration enough!). Thanks Mara for a great class. Yoga One is my home studio to practice yoga. I have taken and was a member to other yoga studio and I felt that at Yoga One it gave me the "yoga" experience I was looking for. The studio does a great job at including the philosophy that is yoga. I recently completed my RYT-200 certificate with Yoga One and I know I received quality instructions from three of the best in the business. Amy (co owner with her husband Michael) is a fitness model who has graced the covers of Yoga Journal including several articles that have been written about Amy and her successes. Amy and Michael are also pioneers in the iPhone App for yoga. Yoga One is a loving and supportive studio. Everyone who works there are real and genuine. I have been familiar with Yoga One for years now and have not run across anything that compares. The location is perfect (especially if you don't live downtown but work downtown) and the variety of schedules really caters to all levels which makes it able to get to a class and enjoy it's benefits. The space is very roomy and comforting. If you are stopping in from work there is a changing room and restrooms so you can be in and out and back to work with ease. My yogic journey really began because of Yoga One. The very first time I walked into the studio, I was greeted so graciously I didn't want to leave.... and I have never really left since. Michael and Amy have put together a team of instructors that truly love what they do, and it shines through. There is a passion for the practice that is contagious. Amy & Michael the owners are authentic caring people and it shows in there yoga one studio. Doing lots of yoga and loving many kinds, what Ive realized is the importance of being in a space of no judgment to fully express yourself. After a year Im now teacher training with them. learning even more about my body, there more then helpful & supportive to align you properly if they see your struggling in a pose. I am a fitness person wanna be so I try different gym and tried to attend different lessons, like zumba, yoga, aerobics etc. I went to yoga one because a friend of mine is a member. I attended one of their yoga classes. The good thing or maybe a bad thing is that the group is very small so the instructor was able to take more notice of everyone individually. Since I am a beginner I am still a bit shy and literally know almost nothing about yoga. But the instructor was very nice and helpful. What I like about Yoga One is the positive energy and the focus on yoga. The studio is beautiful with high ceilings, hardword floors, sky lights and mirrors. They have fantastic instructors who teach in a variety of styles. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming and non-competitive. I ALWAYS feel better after taking a class than when I arrived, ALWAYS. Instructors are really wonderful and the classes aren't too crowded. I tried the one month for $50 (a great deal!), but at the end decided to go to Pilgrimage of the Heart of Adams for a cheaper monthly unlimited rate. However, I would prefer going to Yoga One since the classes are less crowded and the studio is bigger, but the monthly prices are just not competitive enough (though still cheaper than a lot). read more

Yoga One is my favorite yoga studio in the San Diego area - all of the teachers are highly qualified, and the space itself is beautiful and spacious, with skylights and plants. They have great vinyasa flow classes, and I also love Sherri's Hatha classes, which is great for a slower-paced class, or for beginners. I highly recommend this studio! read more

I have tried everything but nothing was clicking or made sense or felt like it was beneficial. I learned finally "why yoga". There are so many variations. In this short time, I truly feel the difference. I haven't been consistent with going before, until now. Each class ends with Toosdhi providing sound healing and wow, she is a delight to hear. This is not your normal studio. I highly recommend. I am sure you will make a connection with amazing yogi here. The location is tucked in a corner and not visible from the street. Street parking only but worth it.

The studio is clean and light, and they have a lot of nice equipment to use as far as blocks, bolsters, and blankets. I've been to a variety of types of classes here, but most recently I did a deep healing class taught by Tiffinie. It was pure magic and my body needed that. 75 minutes of slow postures that are held for a little bit longer, mobility exercises, and breathing. I will definitely return and I'd like to make it more of a habit to visit the studio. Plus, there's a great smoothie shop next-door and tasty coffee available at the brewery just down the street!

Definitely one of the most carefully crafted yoga studios I have ever been to. You sort of feel like you've been transported to somewhere in Southeast Asia. I love that there are heat lamps, blankets, and other accessories for use during the class. Although, the space is epic I didn't really find enjoyment in the class. It was supposed to be a relaxing low impact yoga class focusing on slow movements but I didn't really feel that at all. The instructor was nice but I found her transitions were confusing and sometimes didn't make sense. She wasn't really saying the name of the poses either. To me the instructions felt like I was taking a Pilates class. We were also holding the poses in my opinion way too long to the point I was actually feeling pain. And some poses were really advanced and didn't make me feel relaxed at all. I personally do not like it when there are lyrics in the music when I do yoga. Although it was more mellow indie songs I found it extremely hard to focus and it was kind of loud too. I would prefer just non lyrical relaxing music. At least for the part where we just sit/lay down towards the end. In summary, I don't think I would come back. I am used to donation based yoga around San Diego. If you want more traditional yoga I would just stick to the free classes around town.

I bought a 2 week trial on the website for $22 and then signed up for the class. Showed up Saturday morning, the sun was starting to peak out, and everyone was getting setup right up against the water. Danna taught a beautiful flow, that was fun and felt soooo good. Afterwards she encouraged us to chat with someone new about something we're grateful for, and then the last Saturday of every month is a potluck, so everyone brought something to contribute and sat around and chatted and munched on brunch bites. Everyone at the class was so friendly and it was just so nice. I'll definitely be back next Saturday!

I had worked out a few days before and was still feeling sore going in, but by the time I left, the soreness was completely gone. The instructor Claire was amazing. She was super friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout the entire class. She explained the poses well and offered adjustments so everyone could get the most out of the session. The only downside was how many people were in the class. It was super crowded, but they did a good job spacing everyone out so that you still had your own little area without bumping into anyone. The studio itself was very clean and had a calming, relaxing vibe that made it easy to unwind. Overall, it was a refreshing experience. If I was not moving to Chicago, I would definitely sign up for the membership.
