Byron arrived to provide a quote for each of the projects. I was pleased with the pricing but what set me most at ease was his thoughtful and comprehensive approach to making the repairs. I had connected with two other contractors and neither took such a detailed and long-term approach to the issues I had. Theirs were more "patchwork" fixes which would have cost as much or more than the BMA Construction quote. A few short weeks following the initial quote, the team arrived to begin work. They arrived on time every day, worked diligently, kept me apprised of any questions or issues that presented themselves during the job. Three days later, the job was complete and all work areas had been cleaned. I found Byron to be professional and very responsive to text or calls on the few occasions that I needed to contact him. I'm pleased with the results both from an aesthetic and financial viewpoint.

I asked him if he could replace a corner brick for my ground patio, and touch up grouting around the bricks. I know nothing of concrete and bricks, that's why I needed someone. He said he was going to come Monday 09/23. He got the work done, and I tipped him roughly 13% on top of the estimate he game me. Two days later the one corner brick he replaced was good, but 3 nearby bricks cracked in half. That one stretch of grouting I wanted touched up was fixed, but new cracks formed as a result of the work completed. I messaged him 09/25 saying roughly more damage has been done than his work was supposed to fix. He asked if he could come Saturday 09/28. I said sure. It was beautiful day I would have preferred to goto the beach or something. I waited all day and afternoon and sent him messages. I didn't get a message until that evening that he wasn't going to come. Maybe he went to the beach for me! He asked if he could come Monday 09/30. I said sure, just park and do what you need. He never came just asked me what the weather was. So I took a screenshot of the weather for the next 10 days and sent to him 09/30 in the evening, then asked him on 10/03 when he would like to come. Today is 10/05 and I haven't received a message. Today is also a beautiful day, maybe he went to the beach for me!

He is an excellent communicator, and his workers were not only courteous but very skilled at their respective jobs. He was able to finish my basement in a timely manner with high-quality materials. I could not be happier with the work Brown's Custom Contracting did within my home. Detailed Summary of My Experience: I contacted Jim initially just to get an estimate for finishing my basement, which was in a state that needed major work because the walls were made of cinderblock and the floors were complete concrete; it was a space that was probably best used for storage and I would not call it "comfortably livable." Jim arrived quickly for an estimate and helped me explore the possibilities of the space, even going so far as to note what would be difficult or expensive to pull off. Within days he provided an estimate for the job, which I found out during the process was a major ordeal involving many phases and individuals, so I'm impressed he was able to produce a price so quickly (and in the end it was an accurate price). I signed Jim up for the job because of his straightforward and pleasant attitude. In the weeks and months that followed (this was a major job, I want to note), Jim gave me frequent updates about what workers I could expect to come by and when/how-long they would be there. Every person who came onto the property was skilled and good about communicating what they would be working on, especially when they had questions about the possibilities of the space. Jim also handled all of the work involving the permits and he worked with the county to ensure everything was up to code. He also alerted me any time there was a change in plans or if there was a possibility of delay. Given how involved this basement-finish job was, there were plenty of opportunities for major hurdles, but the project was still completed in a timely manner, and it was always clear to me what was going on, what would happen next, etc. The final product is everything I could've wanted. Jim made efficient use of the space to make as much of it "comfortably livable" as possible. Even the water heater and HVAC unit were relocated with no diminishment in functionality just for the sake of making the basement as good as it could possibly be. I'm very pleased with the additional space my family has been given, and there isn't a single rough edge in the room. Jim's guys are the best and I highly recommend his service to anyone looking to improve their homes. I have included pictures of the job before and after just so you can see the quality of work.

I thank you Today I hired Mr. handyman services to revision of my earlier post. The owner of handyman took care of all repairs associated with the water damage thank you very much yes we are all human and we make mistakes but they owned up to their mistakes and fixed the problem again thank you. install a vanity in my third-floor bathroom. Mr. James Ellenberger was the insulator. This company drilled right through my water pipe and flooded my house. And did not want to take responsibility until I had to get a plumber out here to figure out what the problem was and where the leak came from and sure enough it was confirmed by the licensed plumber that the installer Which works for Mr. handyman drilled right into my waterline flooded my first second and third floor. This company don't want to pay to restore my home or better yet the owner wants to sell his people to restore my home why would I trust them to do anything in my home ever in life. And this company couldn't even have the decency to refund my money for the work done considering they messed everything up again. Not only did I have to pay for them to install the vanity but now I have to pay to have my house dried out in the drywall torn up in my floors replaced because of their neglect

I…read morerequested assistance with repairing a leaking sliding glass door and fixing a small hole (1.5" x 1.5") in my garage siding. I was quoted $450- $550 to fix the sliding door, and the siding repair was not included in the estimate. The repairman did not attempt to recreate the leak for the sliding door and suggested either caulking a small gap that might be the issue or replacing the entire door assembly. I said I would take care of caulking the door because I needed to clean the surfaces beforehand. We spent about 5 minutes addressing this. We then moved to the hole in the garage siding. Initially, the repairman asked if I wanted him to caulk the hole. Caulk seemed inappropriate for the repair, and I suggested using Bondo or something similar. He said he wouldn't be able to match the siding profile perfectly, but he could try. He also said he wasn't sure he could match the color, but he would take a paint chip to Lowe's to see what he could do. I understood the limitations and approved his attempt at the repair. I wish I hadn't; I would have been better off going to Lowe's, picking up some epoxy, and spending half an hour doing it myself. He said the paint chip he brought in wasn't big enough to color match, so he got a can of spray paint that looked close. I approved him to try it nonetheless and again, wish I hadn't. After finishing the job, the repairman gave me the invoice and said he came in at the low end of $450, which was confusing to me because that was the estimate for repairing the sliding door; we hadn't discussed an estimate for repairing the hole in the garage. I addressed this directly and was met with the response that "I have no control over the pricing, I just punch it in the computer, and it gives me a total." After including the cost of the spray paint and the credit card processing fee, the bill was $534.20 for a poorly executed repair of a 1.5" x 1.5" hole in some metal siding. That's absolutely insane. I would caution against using this company's services due to the poor workmanship and the predatory pricing. I tried calling to address this issue, but I couldn't reach anyone other than an AI phone agent.
