Friendly staff, small building food was just ok. Definitely a lot of food for the money though. The portion sizes are huge.

It was a smaller store front, cozy and a hidden gem! The restaurant has so much personality, with years of awards proudly displayed throughout the dining room. Before the food even arrived, we knew we had found somewhere special. We started with the Bistro Onion Soup and the Red Pepper Lobster Bisque. French onion soup and lobster bisque are two of my all-time favorites, so my expectations were high. The Bistro Onion Soup absolutely delivered--rich, flavorful broth, perfectly tender onions, and an incredible blanket of melted cheese. Easily one of the best onion soups I've ever had. The Red Pepper Lobster Bisque was equally memorable. The sweetness of the roasted red peppers paired beautifully with the lobster, creating a unique twist that really worked. My husband and older son both ordered the Momma Mia. A spaghetti sandwich? We were intrigued! My son gave it a 9/10 and said it tasted like a lasagna sandwich. He'd order it again without hesitation. My youngest chose Ziggy the Piggy and declared it "the best sandwich I've ever had." That's high praise from a 10-year-old! He gave it a perfect 10/10, and the sandwich was nearly as big as his head. Honestly, reading the menu made us want to come back just to try everything else. Every item sounded delicious. What made the experience even better was the staff. They were warm, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to love what they do. That kind of hospitality is hard to fake, and it made us feel right at home. If you're passing through--or even if you're not--Zuppaman is absolutely worth the stop. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in town.

The Gyro salad is also amazing. In fact, I have never been disappointed in anything prepared here. The selection of baked goods is amazing. The wine selection is also outstanding. ( Now for the other side of the story). Going back to the time when I was born (in Ireland, but this story began in another part of Europe) In the 1950's outside of Athens, Greece when a family traveled from there to the United States in search of a better life. The mother found comfort in a foreign land while working as a baker, hand-making the recipes she brought with her. She passed these recipes on, with love. Another begins in the 1980's on the Italian island of Sardinia when a young man in the U.S. Navy, met a local girl & brought her back to the United States to raise their family. She keeps in touch with her family & her homeland by importing the food products she grew up loving. Their stories eventually intertwine through a marriage. For one the double meat used to be like $2 but why on earth would someone just want to pay more for double meat when they could just buy another one and clean out the wrap into the other!? Shady business practice for sure...

The place radiates friendliness and you truly feel like a regular when you walk in, warmly greeted right away and taken care of the entire duration of your meal. My family had returned after a long day of theme park food and I needed something lite - and their seasonal salad was just what I needed. It was a very generous portion with some of my the sweetest strawberries I've ever had with candied walnuts, feta cheese, and a delicious vinaigrette to go along with it. Skip the theme park dining when you can - or at the very least, supplement it with this delicious cuisine and friendly service.

For an appetizer, we ordered the wedge salad and the Buffalo Chicken dip. I got the perch dinner for my main course. The kid got a chicken sandwich and my wife got the brisket Mac n cheese. They said that the kitchen was backed up. Honestly, it was totally not an issue. We were just relaxing, watching the game and chilling after a 7 hour drive from NJ. What was an issue was...... appetizers came out exactly the and time as the main courses. WHY????????? It couldn't have taken that long to throw blue cheese, bacon and tomatoes on a chunk of lettuce and pump out the Buffalo Chicken dip and then worry about the main courses later. Now we have to decide, do we want to eat the entrees or even touch the appetizers. That alone always ruins everything. Food was very good. Like I said, people were very nice but you just can't bring everything out at once. Defeats the point of "starting" with something.

And those Malibu buckets. What a blast. I actually made it my mission to try every single flavor you had on offer, and they were all fantastic and so much fun. I loved the relaxed vibe of the whole setup. It's super convenient how you just pop over to the outside window to place your order, and then grab your delicious food right by the bar. But the absolute best part was kicking back at one of your outdoor tables, right by the lake. It's such a perfect, serene setting to just unwind and enjoy the beautiful views. Think snack bar at the roller rink or high school football game. Granted the menu is far from a snack bar and I do give them credit for aiming high with some pretty aspirational dishes. While other reviews suggest table service, that was not our experience. You ordered at the counter, given a pager, and fetched your food when the devices beeped incessantly. You buss your own table too. My wife ordered the lobster roll, which was rather competitively priced. Unfortunately, it was primarily filled with lettuce and tomatoes, with an OK amount lobster meat. She didn't care for the celery and green onion mixed in, not traditional lobster roll ingredients. I had the perch tacos, a first for me. Again, novel idea but lacking on execution. A few thin fish strips in each taco were more breading than fish. My wife couldn't have more than one sip of her cocktail and my IPA was warm. Anything waterside will have a natural appeal but the furniture and seating area is nothing more than a sidewalk. $61 for a serve yourself concession stand experience is more fitting for a stadium or sports arena.
