My go to is always the steak frijitas...thick strips of steak, onion, peppers and tomatoes on a sizzling platter comes with rice, refried beans, salad and sour cream depending on lunch or dinner with 2 or 3 tortillas...normally flour but you can request corn. The fried ice cream is very good and easily shareable. Nice treat for husband's birthday. Service is attentive, place is clean especially the bathrooms. Family atmosphere. Chips and salsa were free and very good. The salsa have great flavor with a bit of a kick. The service was quick. The food was good. I enjoyed the chicken quesadilla but thought the chicken quesadilla was a bit dry. My husband thought the el grade burrito was decent but he would not get it again. This was a solid experience. My father and I were in town for the eclipse. We reasoned that it would be wise to get something to eat before the long journey home. I was immediately encouraged when we entered and I heard Spanish being shouted in the kitchen. That's almost always a sure sign that you're in the right place. The menu had all of the usual items, but in my case I was looking for a particular item. For some reason it's impossible for me to find basic grilled chicken with cheese sauce at my hometown. I really enjoyed the Seafood Burrito which was stuffed full of shrimp and fish then deep fried and covered with white cream sauce. No veggies inside but with rice and lettuce/tomato on the side. The shrimp fajitas were also good but the nachos and chicken tenders were mediocre. The server was extremely friendly and the food was served so quickly we could not believe it. This is an OK Mexican restaurant, one of a few in the area. So in a pinch if your craving a South of Border meal this will do. It's a popular place and on the weekends you'll have to wait. Ambiance is very colorful typical for a Mexican eatery. Once in the service is quick and good. Portions are a good value. Meal for every price point. I had the #73 EL Mocajete (served in a hot lava bowl) a little pricey but you'll get full. My only issue in coming here is the service charge and tax you get charged if your paying with credit card, on both the bar items and food. So be careful in paying. I prefer not coming here because of that. Plenty of free parking. Restrooms get used a lot and you may be taking a chance. read more

Had dinner here with my family last weekend. We called for a reservation at 5pm for a group of 8 and they said no problem. When we showed up, we told them we had a reservation and they said they don't take reservations, which was not what we were told on the phone. Thankfully they had a table ready for us anyway, because it was quite busy at that time. Overall the service was pretty decent, although I did go most of my meal without water because they seemed to be understaffed like everywhere else currently is. The food wasn't great and tasted like dishwater and took way too long. $30 Fed me and a friend, plus 1 Corona Light and a Guacamole Appetizer. So not only is it affordable but the portion sizes are more than enough. I ordered the Locos Nachos (which cam with Steak & Chicken) and she ordered 2 Chimichaunga which she loved. The staff were very nice, courteous, and professional. The atmosphere felt authentic and welcoming. Our table was clean when we arrived and we never wanted for a thing as our waitress took very good care of us. We tried Caio Bella, Waldos, and a few others but they weren't open in the middle lf the afternoon when we felt like having lunch. As it turns out, their being closed was our gain! I can't recommend this restaurant enough. My Nachos were hot, and well prepared! Typically you find a bit of pooled water at the bottom of the Chips mixed with cheese. It was perfect. The veggies were fresh, and the Chicken on top was amazing. Plenty of seating. Plenty of social distancing. Plenty of hand sanitizer. Barriers are up between booths at the headboard so we felt very comfortable. We left 35% for our tip because the service was fantastic and it's time we started valuing the needs of people making sure our experiances are fantastic! read more

Better than average Mexican fare. Near a hotel and expressway exit, this place is busy. As with most mexican restaurants, they can turn tables pretty fast with scoop/roll/slather/sprinkle/melt/garnish plates. First off the margaritas are tasty. She had a skinny Margarita. They were a staple on almost every table. Chips were fine, yet the salsa was too mild with low flavor. They brought me a dish of hot salsa which was better. Portions are huge and prices are low. No military discount though. If the weather is right, ask to sit on the patio(see pic). The entrance is a bit off, as there are multiple locked entrances facing the parking lot, but only the one with the canopy is open to enter(see pic). My 2 burrito meal came slathered in enchilada sauce(see pic) with melted cheese instead of the described cheese sauce. Black beans are no where to be found in this establishment. The beef was dry crumble, not like wet sloppy joe. The chicken was true shredded white meat. Flavors are mild to appeal to the masses. Glad I brought my hot sauce for extra flavor. I would recommend this welcome break from the area seafood. Great for those on a budget. We came here expecting bad service and a long wait from reading the reviews but we got seated in about 5 minutes and our waiter was really good. They brought our chips and 2 small bowls of really great salsa. The food came out really fast and was delicious. I ordered a shrimp and vegetable dish and it came with a ranchero sauce, guacamole salad and rice. I ordered a side of the diablo sauce and if you like really hot and spicy food - then you would love the diablo sauce!! It was awesome but it definitely made my mouth feel like it was on fire (I actually like that - I know it's weird!!!) My friend ordered dinner #30 which was enchiladas (one chicken, one beef and one cheese). It did not come with beans or rice. She made us wait for a party of 25 to be done eating and just kept saying we would be seated soon. We asked multiple times to break our party up into smaller groups to be seated sooner. We also had 2 toddlers with us that were dying to be fed. We should have left and went somewhere else, however we assumed the wait would be just as long. In this area, there are few good Mexican restaurants, but this place is consistently good. The service is pretty good despite how busy it is almost every time I go there. The last time I stopped in it was a busy Friday night and the restaurant was packed. After waiting about 10 minutes, the hostess found us a table and gave us menus. It was only a few minutes before someone brought us waters, chips and salsa. Our server came over shortly and we ordered a pitcher of margaritas and some queso to start. The drinks here are always strong and delicious. The queso is also really good and a large portion for the cost. For my main meal, I ended up ordering the chicken ala mexicana. This comes with grilled chicken, peppers, onions & tomatoes. This is all served with rice, lettuce, sour cream & flour/corn tortillas. It was a huge portion and I didn't come close to finishing all of it. The meat was juicy and had a good flavor to it. This dish is similar to a fajita meal, but the spices are a little different which brings about a kick. I would definitely order it again! read more

So no taco shell bowl and also was served with no chips of any kind. Of the five people in the group three had food that was terrible. Way way to high wet burrito was a single enchilada my wife had to give me some of her food.
