Worst customer service experience ever. They did gold sns nails that only lasted 2 days. The nails were already breaking by the next day and started chipping into my real nails. I came back to the store and told them. I was yelled at and told that it was my fault the nails chipped. I then told her to take it off and that I will like a whole new set as I was worried it was probably the quality of their gold glitter nails. I was asked to pay full price. Pay full price for nails that lasted 2 days. The lady was extremely rude and very unprofessional. Please dont bother coming here. Tried out this nail salon today with two friends, and we were all very disappointed. I'm not typically someone who writes negative reviews, but this experience was shocking. From the moment we walked in, we were heckled to purchase other services even though we told them over and over that we only wanted our fingernails done. I get that they're trying to make more money, but don't be pushy and try to make us feel bad when we've already explicitly said that we're not interested. I got an acrylic fill-in, and my two friends got SNS, and the women doing our nails reacted like it was too much to ask when we politely asked for our nails to be shorter instead of longer (I wear contacts, and longer nails make it very difficult to remove my contacts without scratching my eyes). The woman doing my nails repeatedly hit the tips & sides of my fingers and with the drill (which is painful), and then used her own very sharp nails to poke under my nails to separate the tip of my nail from my skin (a normally pain-free practice, but her nails were so sharp that it really hurt). One of my acrylic nails had been slightly broken, and instead of replacing the acrylic nail or adding more acrylic to fix it (like every other nail tech would do), she told me that she was going to shape that particular nail to be round instead of square, which is very bizarre because why would I want 9 fingers to be shaped square and then have one finger look completely different when I'm paying good money to have a professional manicure? It seemed like she was trying to do the least amount of work possible, and I got the feeling like she was consciously ignoring me when I said anything. She also kept telling me to put my hands by the dryer despite my comments about how the dryer was not turned on - no air was coming out; she understood me but just didn't want to take the time to actually check to see if it was on or not. She had a bad attitude, and I was very surprised that I was experiencing this level of unprofessionalism when my friends and I were being very nice. The woman who was doing my friend's nails (SNS) repeatedly hurt her as well (same issues I experienced), and then told us that my friend was being "TOO PICKY" about her nails; apparently asking for her nails to be square and short is high maintenance​? No, it's completely normal, and every other nail salon I've been to has had zero issues with this request. Obviously, we didn't appreciate that she was being rude, and I guess she could sense our mood change, so she kept asking if we were happy - like what do you think? If you want your customers​ to be happy, maybe you should have better customer service and focus on making everyone's experience pain-free. read more

Speaking only for the pedicure with Holly found she did a great job. She let me soak my feet for a few minutes before we started, took her time and was quite thorough. Chairs are comfy and you have several different pedicures to choose from starting at twenty. A couple of facials are available as is massage and lashes. read more

Not as clean as I would like them to be especially during the times we are in. For example, they don't clean their stations after each client & not everyone who walks in gets the memo of washing their hands before sitting down. But besides that they do a pretty good job & are very patient with each request. Just be sure you are taking safety precautions yourself! read more

this place??? is so??? bad????? the lady took FOREVER to do my nails and she made 3 of my fingers bleed with the drill and the acetone touching the wounds after wasnt pleasant??? i also came in with a photo of what i wanted and she did not do it. she kinda did her own thing and told me she wasnt gonna do what was on the photo. nails came out horrible and the actual acrylics i got feel like they are about to fall off bc they just arent good??? i hate my nails but i dont want to spend more money to get them done again. only good thing is that they have 10% off for students! read more

The nail tech I had was very aggressive with my hands as she worked and did not do a good job making my nail length and shape even. After being told an acrylic set would cost $22 I was charged $29 for getting almond shaped nails and I decided to leave before getting them painted. The owner was very rude and told me that the price would be the same weather or not I got my nails painted. You can walk across the parking lot and get better service at Tiffany Nails. read more

Extremely rude staff. I brought my daughter here for getting her nails done. The technician was rude from the time my daughter started picking out the color. I told her I did not appreciate her tone of voice and she calmed down for a bit. She was extremely aggressive with my daughter's cuticles and 2 of her nails started bleeding. When I told them that it was not ok for her to bleed they tried to tell me that it's normal and that they put antiseptic on it. Normal to bleed? Absolutely not!! Horrible experience!!! I have been coming to Solace Nail Spa since we moved to Johns Creek 4 years ago. My entire family frequented the spa for manicures, pedicures, waxing and foot massages. A few months ago, I found out during a visit that it had changed ownership. I expected to continue to coming for the various services; however, the service was never as good as with previous ownership. And the staff is not near as friendly. Today I walked in needing a manicure and pedicure. I was told to pick out my polish and wait. During the 5 minutes or so that I was waiting, I started to get a massive headache from the strong acrylic fumes. They were so strong, I literally felt ill. I will never visit again, which is sad because it is so close to my house. I wish I knew where the previous owners and management went. If anyone knows, please share the info! read more

My gel manicure chipped and cracked off in less than 1 week. Pedicure was fast and not relaxing. Salon is beautiful though. It is a shame.

Very disappointed in my visit here. It can be so difficult to find a good nail salon, and when I moved up Medlock Bridge and Solace opened, I thought this would be a great stop! All of the reviews looked good, as well as the prices, so I decided to stop in for my regular: french gel manicure. The salon is very nice, the only set back so far was that the tvs are hanging on the walls behind you and you have to turn side ways to see them during your manicure - it would be impossible to watch them during a pedicure. The manicure started and she seemed to be very meticulous about my cuticles, which I appreciated since it had been a little while since I had them done. However, four cuts later, she started with the polish. During the polish, she seemed very impatient and would regularly ask me to go ahead and pull my nails out of the light even though the timer had not yet finished. When she was done with my nails, she put a little lotion on my arms and gave me a massage that lasted all of 20 seconds per arm. Meanwhile, another lady came in for a polish change and paid $10 less than I did, for the exact same treatment minus the bogus massage. I decided to let my frustration go and gave a nice tip to my $30 gel manicure. Within one week, my nails were already chipping. WHAT?! I do not beat my nails up and did not treat them any different than I normally would. I don't expect gel to last forever, but why pay for gel if the manicure is only going to last the same amount as regular polish?! I will NOT be going back. okay, this was the nail spa i usually go to. But every time the nails will break i will find my self revisiting for a nail fix 4 times in 2 weeks. But the past few months I've been going to Tiffany across the parking lot( VERY GREAT NAILS RARELY BREAK) I switch back because the service at solace nails is more welcoming and peaceful( not as busy always a chair open for me). But last week i got my nails done 3 nails broke! By doing nothing! opening dresser drawer, changing diaper and opening a car door. It would just pop off as if it was hanging by a loose thread( it wasn't btw). I went back for a nail fix twice since 1/23. This morning i woke up another nail popped off. Which happened to be the nails she tried to glue back when i told her it was cracking! I've paid 35$ plus 10$ in a week on my nails. I will be revisiting to have them all taken off. They're too cheap. I dont know if it's the powder or what but at Tiffany nails they never break this often or at all. Ok, this place is in a good location very nice inside and not cramped feeling and the ladies seem nice but we were disappointed...I called ahead of time to see if a couple of pedicures and a manicure could be done at the same time and the lady over the phone said yes so we went and my sister had the roughest and quickest pedicure ever (and she does not mind a rough pedicure). My sister felt like her lady rushed through her pedicure which we found out she did rush because she did her daughter's manicure after her! Then my pedicure did not start until my sister's pedicure was almost done and did not feel thorough as this lady had to finish another girl's nails after she did my pedicure. We went on a Thursday during the day so we didn't have to be in the weekend craziness and was hoping to have a good, thorough pedicure/manicure but that's not what happened. I just would have liked it if they would have told me in the beginning they couldn't do all the services at the same time. Maybe they were short staffed or they were having an off day but services were not the best in my opinion. I'd be hesitant to come again which is unfortunate. read more
