My husband and I came here for our 10 year anniversary. It blew our minds. The service was exceptional. The facilities were clean, modern, comfortable and beautiful. The spa was mostly white, very nicely decorated. Robes provided were very comfortable. We got the couples mudslide and a couples massage. I honestly didn't want it to end. The mudslide was an experience. We hadn't experienced anything like that before. First you put mud that is made with their warm mineral water and essential oils of your choice. You put it on each other in a sauna room and lay there until it bakes on your skin. Then you rinse it off. You then move into a mineral bath room. Nice large tubs-we were actually able to get into a tub together which was nice. They also give you a salt scrub which is really nice for your skin. Then after that you go into the relation zero gravity chairs and meditate. Make sure you are comfortable with the column level. I wish I would have turned my down a bit. But it was all very relaxing. The couples massage was amazing. The bar is raised very high for my next massage. read more

Very intimate salon! Love it! I had made a hair appointment here because of the wonderful special advertised within SB Axxess, which was 50% off haircut with Brooke. This salon is very small and very relaxing. Brooke made some delicious tea, and gave some great suggestions for my trim. I have short hair and was just cleaning it up, trimming the ends, and maintaining the length as it grows out. After my experience here, I want to come back and get color! I loved Brooke's personality, very bubbly and fun. Even in this gloomy/dreary weather, I was in such a great mood after leaving Solace Salon & Spa. Oh and Brooke's mom does facials! WOW is all I can say! Generally, I avoid services in Santa Barbara because I don't get my money's worth so I opt for spas in Los Angeles but Solace Salon & Spa has changed my mind about that. I received the Rejuvenate Infusion facial from the owner, Kelly, and my face felt fantastic! Everything about the facial was very relaxing from the way Kelly applied the products to the mini massages. Kelly was super warm and friendly and very easy to talk to. She even pointed out some things that could be causing my skin problems that I never thought about. Afterwards she introduced me to some products that could help with my skincare at home and I chose the microdermabrasion creme. Can I say WOW again? This creme is very smooth so it glides onto your face and has very fine, tiny particles in it that you feel exfoliating your face as you rub it in a circular motion. With the creme, my face feels just as smooth as the day I left Kelly. The salon itself is very intimate and inviting. I love that when you walk through the doors, you're greeted immediately with a warm smile and you feel like you're coming in for a special treatment. I definitely recommend Solace. read more

Such a cute salon! Very friendly and was greeted immediately upon arrival. Brooke was the stylist who worked on my hair. She did a great job with the cut however it was brief and so I'm not sure if she was able to trim all of my layers.. It's a smaller salon so you don't have to worry about it being a very loud and crazy atmosphere. Overall great experience and will be back :) read more

Love this salon. I have been going to Kelly for facials for 10plus years. My skin has gone through its own ups and downs and Kelly has always made the adjustments that have made it look great! Recently Brooke cut my teenage daughters hair. She had 8 inches cut and it was gorgeous! We will definitely be back for more haircuts. The new salon is beautiful, clean and convenient. Everything about my experience here was amazing! I got a cut, dye (ombre), and keratin extensions done by Brooke, and I could not be any happier. I was very nervous to get my hair colored and keratin extensions put in, because my hair was virgin and I had only ever had clip ins before. Not only was Brooke very personable and accommodating, all of her suggestions worked out very well which gave her this wonderful air of professionalism. She also managed to blend the color perfectly, as well as somehow hide all the bonds in my very thin hair. The extensions look completely natural! I went to Brooke at Solace feeling totally gross. I wanted a change so asked for highlights to brighten my dull blonde and bangs to mix up my look. She did a fantastic job!! She made me feel so comfortable and truly cared about what I wanted. I have never had a hairstylist who was so concerned with what I wanted and how I felt. My highlights are perfect and my cut is amazing. I have had bangs in the past didn't love them but Brooke worked her magic and they are perfection. What can I say, Vanessa is a true angel with angel eyes, voice, and the touch to prove it! I am so grateful my friend Gale told me about her! Brooke is phenomenal!! I have been going to her for a few years now to get my extensions done. I get compliments on my hair all the time. She is incredibly talented and knows what she is doing. She is OCD in a positive way(she wants things done perfectly). I LOVE THAT! I am VERY picky about who touches my hair, yet Brooke actually listens to clients needs and wants. The quality of the extensions she uses is amazing. The hair lasts months even after applying heat as much as I do. There are a variety of colors to choose from even Ombre which is rare to find in other salons. I had jet black hair and wanted to go blonde and through healthy hair treatments Brooke took me there. FANTASTIC experience. I came in with purple/pink damaged hair and a choppy cut (not cute, trendy choppy...more like I-used-craft-scissors-to-give-myself-bangs-and-a-trim choppy). Brooke evened my hair out got me back to dark brown and recommended some great products to continue nurturing my hair back to health. I took off with some face cleanser as well, and my face feels like a baby's bottom. The shabby-chic decor made me feel like a princess.
