It's heartbreaking to see what became of Solano Mall and Fairfield in general. Both were great through the early 1980's. After that, the worst elements of San Francisco and the East Bay moved in and ruined them. Newly rich San Franciscans sold the old $10,000 tract dumps they owned to herds of land-grabbing foreigners for millions and headed North with their illegal drugs and leftist politics. Carpetbaggers destroyed cozy Fairfield, buying up cheaper new housing and selling it to East Bay roughnecks for another bundle. Solano Mall is no different from dangerous Southland, Eastmont and Bay Fair Malls in Hayward, Oakland and San Leandro. No more of the gorgeous fine art-grade boutiques that were set up at Solano Mall for the Christmas holidays years ago. It makes me sad to see the few items I still have from them. Many of the manicured Fairfield neighborhoods we knew for ages look like trash now with unkempt houses, wild kids and cars parked all over the place. I lived with military friends in one of the lovely off-base homes when I worked at nearby Travis AFB. However, the few friends who still lived in failing Fairfield eventually moved to gated communities and other safe, clean areas between Vacaville and Sacramento because newcomers definitely ruined our neighborhoods. A very sad situation because Fairfield was once a great place to live. Weekends and holidays there were unbeatable. Now all that keeps the city alive is huge Travis AFB which is essentially self-contained. It doesn't need steadily decaying Fairfield for anything. read more

The store selections are great, though I'd suggest sticking to the top floor if you're just perusing. Trying to walk around the bottom floor is just asking to be nagged by at least 10 salespeople. But I guess that's pretty much any mall. The reason I don't like this mall is that it's full of creepy ghetto people who just come to hang out and walk laps. And we're not taking cute little old people or moms with little 3lb weights. Junior high kids run around squealing like they were raised in barns, and ex-convicts stalk by, staring you up and down. I do see mall security occasionally but it'd just be nice if there were more of them. As far as store selection and food court, it's a good place. Just come during the day and bring a few friends and some pepper spray. And DO NOT get a massage at those little stands... They press their penis on your elbows and massage your butt. Not even 1 star is deserved. While in Claires Boutique with my 2 young daughters, a shoplifter had apparently been caught and brought back into the store. She was yelling and cussing. I asked her to stop her profane language as there were children around (besides my own). Needless to say, this only made her foul mouth worse. Not once did Claires employees try to de-escalate the situation, nor did they call security. I asked them to call security, but they seemed to ignore my request. My husband ran to the neighboring store and asked them to call security. Meanwhile, the shoplifter was let go and was walking away. Are employees not taught what to do in these situations? My girls were frightened beyond belief from the incident. This is not the 1st time that I have heard of unsafe situations at this mall. I will not be returning. read more

"RENTERS BEWARE" If I could leave 0 stars I would. As a business owner I put my company inside this terrible mall. The worse decision I have ever made. This place is always empty, dirty, full of homeless crackheads & meth addicts, rat infested, the food court sucks, security is bogus, the people in the rental office are a bunch of liars who can't even remember when tenants pay their rent, I mean it's a absolute joke. Horrible shopping experience at night. Saw a GANG of kids jump an overweight goth looking kid and he luckily he fought back. There were kids and elderly really close to the fight. It is obvious many of the stores are geared to neighborhood gang members. Hats and thug life galore. Even saw a kid shoplifting tools in Sears. Seriously??? Plus, you will get constantly harangued by kiosk salespersons in some snooty tones. What the HECK happened here?? They will reach out and try to touch your stuff or spread some lotion on you! Mall Security must be really busy. Parking is a nightmare. Keep driving and head to Vacaville Outlets or the Sun Valley Mall. Steer clear of this crime infested place. This mall is full of crack heads & bums or should I say homeless people. Recently buffalo wild wings & red robin was closed due to rat & mice infestation. Don't eat at these locations. Security is a joke & a lot of theft happens in this mall not to mention all the cars that get broken into. Do not come to this mall. Try Arden Mall or the Vacaville Outlets. My prediction is 2023 - 2025 Solano Town Center will close it's doors for ever same as Florin Mall did in Sacramento. Again STAY AWAY FROM THIS MALL..... I came to this shopping center to buy some home decor, and I must say, the selection was impressive. There were multiple stores offering beautiful, high-quality furniture and decorations at competitive prices. I received exceptional service from a store associate who helped me choose the perfect items for my home. The shopping center itself was spacious, clean, and had a great atmosphere. Parking was easy, and there were plenty of areas to relax in between shopping. The overall value of my purchases was fantastic, and I left feeling completely satisfied with my experience. I have to say 5 stars because it could have easily been 1. I accidentally left my purse hanging on the back of my chair in the food court, ( i know, what a dumba$$, right?) and LEFT the mall. Half way to the car I realized what I did and ran back inside. It was gone of course. My son remembered where the security office was, so we went there to report it missing. It was right there on the desk in front of the officer who was calling my bank to get my phone number. Everything was inside like it was supposed to be, thanks to the honest food court bussing staff member who found it. read more

This mall is complete garbage. It used to be a happening place to shop during the 80s and 90s, but it all went to Hell since the 2000s. Many of the stores have closed, who knows when Macy's and JCPenny's days are up. The food court sucks. So many homeless folks, drug addicts and juvenile delinquents roam the place. Also if you happen to be black or with a large of blacks, don't be surprised if you or anyone in your group gets racially profiled. Do yourself a favor and avoid this decrepit mall like the plague. I am a shopaholic...with a vast hatred for this mall. Could it be because it's local? Maybe. Or perhaps because every store consists of the term "Phat"? Probably. Or because it's full of "thugs" and teenagers angry at the world? Yeah, that's it! Macys is nice, usually. The movie theatre is awesome. And it's not devoid of shopping either. This shopping center is alright. Sometimes you encounter ghetto people, & many students walking the place. Some of the shops, employees are either don't know what they're talking about or they're just standing around for the free. Food court kinda sucks. Needs better variety. Swear there's more pretzel booths than anything. There's also a lot of useless stores there. The shops in general needs to be renovated. This is pretty much a review for the See's candy store because I never go to the mall except to buy my mom See's for her birthday. But they have very great customer service considering they usually have one or two people there, even if its jam packed. Like one time I decided to buy chocolates for my grandparents for valentines day ooowwweee was it busy, probably shouldn't have waited until the day before valentines haha oops. read more

This place reminds me of a miniature version of a particular mall back home. They actually have a lot more stores than you think, and a fairly wide variety at the food court. They have the essential needs of not just college students, but most people living around the area. They know what to sell, and what to advertise.. and what can be left out of a mall, I would say. read more
