My former nail salon ( Three D Nail, no longer in business) sent out a text message to their customers, recommending this salon. Called on 1-30-26 to make an appointment with Dee, but she was unable to do my nails, but she had Tina do them. I've been here twice and had very different experiences. Three stars is the result of the average between these. Lee helped me during my first appointment, and she was great! Very attentive, detail oriented, and focused on making sure I was happy with the outcome. My gel manicure lasted for 12 days without chipping and I was pleased. 5 stars for Lee! I saw Terry the second time at Solar Nails, and my experience was much less positive. For some reason, Terry thinned out my nails an insane amount before putting the gel on. I asked her several times to stop because it hurt, and she would apologize and then immediately start again. Terry also cut me 3 times and got frustrated with me when I used a towel to try to stop the bleeding on one finger. This gel manicure went on very lumpy but I just really wanted to leave by this point. My manicure looked decent from far away, but it began chipping after 8 days. I am struggling very much to remove it, and it's obvious how much my nails and nail beds are damaged. Terry is probably a very sweet and lovely woman, but I would not recommend her for a gel manicure. 1 star for my experience with Terry. read more

Tracy and the whole team do a careful job for me at Solar Nails. I keep my nails quite short and don't like a thick powder / dip on them. Tracy pays careful attention to keeping my nails natural and colorful for me. But that's not why I'm writing this! Last Friday I asked Tracy to do her same careful dip job and also add chrome which is fun and shiny. Two days later I flew to Boston and helped my brother fill a 20 yard dumpster with furniture, metal sculptures, trash; old wood and debris, yard waste, and so on. We carried crap up and down 2 flights of stairs for 3 days. My nails stayed perfect. THEN I drove to Connecticut to help cater an event, moving lots of furniture and folding chairs and tables, carrying bedding and houseplants, arranging flowers serving food and hand washing dishes for 40 people. And two days after that; they STILL look basically as good as new!!! No cracks, no chips. NO PEELING. And believe me I am hard on my hands. I realize I sound like a lunatic but I have never had a manicure last this long. Their small shop is in the middle of a couple of renovations so it is not slick but the price is good and the team is caring and experienced. read more

I have been coming here for years. Things have definitely deteriorated as the owner, "Dee", is more hands off. Recent visit was very rushed. I had come for my nails and feet, as I always do and was told there was no time to do my feet. Went in with my sister; we both wanted the basic pedicure, at $20 each. The lady said that was a kids pedicure, & said that i could only get the regular pedicure @ $28, however if you see on the menu, the kids pedicure is $18 and so she said the only choice was the regular pedicure, at $28. When we went to check out they tried to explain that the regular pedicure comes with nail polish and sugar scrub, however they both show on the menu, that they come with nail polish and neither says sugar scrub. We told them what we wanted & expected, ($20 basic pedi) and the techs decided to give whatever service she wasted to give, vs what the paying costumer wanted. My past two experiences have been horrible, rushed, cuts, and unfinished nails which they claim are all done. Save yourself time and money and go elsewhere. Nails are poorly polished and the last time I complained the person doing my nails grew upset so angrily shaved my gel off and left my nails so thin that they aches and would fold despite still having gel on them. read more

Called ahead and was told to show up at 3. They were busy so we waited for over 30 minutes. No problem. Me n my sis ask for a basic pedi. She had one a week ago and I have decent feet and like clear polish- you'd think easy leash right? NOPE!! We're told in plain English, "that's just for kids. You have to get regular" We're like......we can't see the menu from where we're sitting but...OK They get started. My girl decides to start cheese grating my foot without even looking to see if I need it. I clearly don't. I have to stop her immediately as she's cutting off perfectly good soft skin. Ouch. Not ok, but I'll survive it. She ignores it. I get my clear polish and she disappears. I wanted another coat because I couldn't tell the outside three toes were very sheen but she never came back. We decided to just pay n leave. As we go to lay we look at the menu and realize the menu clearly states basic is exactly what we got. But we already paid and tipped. We ask one of the women about it and she corrects us and says, " oh, that's only for no color." My sister did get color, but I did not. So I tell her, "Well then, the basic pedi would apply to me, correct?" All of the sudden they all forgot how to speak English and began to speak to each other and totally ignored me n my sis. I explained the menu was pretty clear, they were very dishonest, they had the opportunity to communicate and correct the problem...... and they continued to speak in their language and ignore us. I told them I'd leave an honest Yelp review and left. Seriously disappointed. Shame on them. Just two sisters trying to spend some time together. Next time we will go elsewhere. read more

Definitely recommend Solar Nails! I have been searching for a ail salon that I actually like in Denver and finally found it. They are always so good about getting you in whether you have an appointment or call to come in last minute. This is great for me because my schedule is always changing so it is typically difficult to make appointments. I left a google review on solar nails yesterday about how mediocre of a job the did on my acrylic full set and my gel pedicure, since that review I have had two of my acrylic nails break in half since yesterday. The first one broke while i was doing something as simple as pulling my pants up. This set is only a week old. I do not recommend this place at all. My technician dropped the file on the floor and didn't clean it. The water for the pedicure was cold and they didn't adjust it when I asked nicely. The selfish part of me doesn't want other people to know about this place, since I hardly ever have to wait, but it really is a gem. The staff is kind, the color selections are ample and well-organized, the shop is clean, and my nails always look good when I leave. I found this place because it was close to work, but I now make the drive on the weekend since they do such a great job. Since I do occasionally come on lunch breaks, they are very accommodating, and can get me in/out pretty quickly when needed. Yes, these people nickel and dime you for everything. Then they expect height tips after you've already spent $100 or more on not the best work. I've gone in several times now and 3 of my experiences have been uncomfortable. Last time I got expensive foil nails that started falling apart the next day. They're pushy when it comes to money and I don't like that. How are you going to charge to take off polish that you put on? Just left feeling irritated. One of the worst manicures pedicures I have ever had and that is many. Polish is off, nails are unevenly rounded with edges. Had a bubble in the polish and they jut polished over it unevenly. Won't be back here. So many other good meticulous places. Sorry, when I spend money on my nails, I want them done right. Take your time! Like I said, not impressed and won't be I told the technicians I was not happy. I gave a tip, but they went to my Grand daughter and complained about it. Very rude I tipped $5. on $35., even though I was not happy. I live in California so have no need to return. Will have them fixed when I get home and know they will be done right. The employees were incredibly sweet and my nails look good, they just don't seem to properly book ahead for call in's or reservations. I understand wanting to get as much business as possible but having people wait longer than 10-15 minutes after your scheduled appointment start is unreasonable. She does not give up and treats every customer as family. I spent my whole life being insecure about my nails and because if this place and Dee I can now say I am proud of my nails. I have been looking for a good nail and spa salon for over a year since I moved here from Texas. After work yesterday I needed a break and wanted to treat myself to getting my nails done. I have a bad habit of chewing my nails and I can't really paint them well either as you can see in the before picture. Anyways, when I walked into the nail salon it looked welcoming, clean, relaxing, and every customer inside looked happy with their service and liked the outcome of their nails. The nail tech, Dee, worked on my nails and did them pretty quick. I always get long nails at the salon and Dee did such a good job and was super nice. While Dee worked on my nails, I couldn't help but notice how good she was at multi tasking. A bunch of customers would call the salon and Dee would answer those calls and never once stopped working on my nails. I don't normally write reviews, but this nail salon provided such good service and did so well on my nails that I had to. BEST pedicure I've been had. I did the Ultimate Pedicure and it was so relaxing. Tracy knew her pressure points so well and it really made the pedicure over the top. They were busy, but she didn't rush to finish. We stopped in, on a recommendation from a friend. We picked someone up at the airport so we were in the area. I love the owner, Dee. She is sweet and friendly and her work is nothing short of art. However, she is essentially by appointment only so unless you can plan way ahead, you are rolling the dice. The pedis here are solid, but be cautious when it comes to nails. The guy who was doing my dips recently left the salon and I am beyond bummed. My past two experiences were disappointing - so disappointing that I came home and within 24 hours soaked one dip off and as of yesterday, made an appointment elsewhere to have my nails redone. After my guy left, I had a newer gal at the salon. A regular dip took 2 hours in which Dee came over multiple times to review and have her fix things. The gal wasn't used to the drill so my long nails ended up so damaged and nicked on the sides, we had to file them back a lot more than planned. In the end, I was still charged full price for a dip I can do a better job on at home. Yesterday, I asked for one of the guys who has been there a long time to do my dip. A picture of the dip is in this review. I can't go back. I can't/won't spend money on services that aren't acceptable. On one hand, I feel guilty writing this review. On the other, if someone else saves their money, that might make me feel better. Question: how do you handle situations like this while *IN* the salon? Refuse to pay? Stop the whole thing and ask the owner to come over? Say it's unacceptable? I am struggling with what to do so I don't just pay for it and go. read more

I came here over the weekend after reading such great reviews here on Yelp. Unfortunately there was about a 30 minute wait but they were very apologetic and it wasn't a huge deal as I hadn't made an appointment. The lady who did my nails took quite a while--it was about an hour and a half for plain pink and white acrylics--but these are the nicest set of acrylics I have EVER had. She really spent the time making sure they were even, completely filed on the sides, well shaped, actually got them in the perfect direction which for some reason is an issue I have run into a lot (I think my fingers must be crooked or something). They are super beautiful and I'll be coming back--just probably for something a little less time consuming than acrylics. A lot of the people there seemed to be regulars--which makes sense since they did such a high quality job. read more
