I guess there's 2 shops on Yelp for this particular pro nails so I wanted to make sure my review is on both: I have been hesitant to write a review because Pro Nails is a small family owner business and they're already super busy and I'm selfish and don't want them to be even busier lol. But I absolutely love getting my nails done here. For reference, I do acrylic with gel. My nails always look great (I'm constantly getting compliments) and last up to 3 weeks. I needed a place to get a nice, simple, shellac mani that will last and be professional in appearance for my job interviews. I called ahead of time but they also do walk ins. I was able to get an appointment for the next day. The whole process was very quick as they have a huge selection of colors. I found this soft pink color that I absolutely adored. Sarah did such an amazing job with shaping and trimming my nails. She worked fast and with precision. Normally when they trim my nails, it ends up hurting somewhere inevitably but she was very good and nothing hurt. She was able to do a flower design for me that added to the whole look without taking away from the overall professional appearance. I think my nails will definitely leave a good impression for whoever does look at them. I was very happy with my results :) $32 total which is reasonable and there was a mini hand massage at the end. Overall, great pedicure for the price ($23 for the normal and $30 for the deluxe). Came in for my yearly "it's summer!" pedi. They had a chair ready for me before I could even pick out a color. They have 5 spa pedi chairs and even a little kids pedi chair that looks like a bear. Cute. I had to wait a bit for a nail tech to come but that's ok cause it let my feet soak for a bit longer. The location is in a strip mall not far from Jabo's bbq and Yolanda's tacos. Maybe next time I'll grab lunch and a pedi! I opted to upgrade to the deluxe pedi with a sea salt rub and paraffin treatment. No complaints. read more

Great selection of colors, quick dry top coat making my toes all shiny, a brand new electric buffer that softens my feet, and meticulous application- all for $23. The shop isn't fancy but the staff are nice and it gets the job done. I will be back regularly. Awesome spot to get a pedi on the south side of town! I stopped by here on a Saturday afternoon and other reviewers were right-it's best to make an appointment. I didn't have to wait too long though and soon enough I was in store for a great, relaxing, long pedicure. The dude took extra time and it was only the basic pedi which was wonderful because I was getting my money's worth (even if the magazines I was reading did fall in the tub--sorry!) He was massaging my legs for so long it soon got awkward and I almost wanted to tell him to stop since he was working on them for some time. They have a decent selection of colors but I've seen more in other places and there were a lot of kids there getting their nails did (if you want to spoil your kids that is, I didn't get pedicures growing up and turned out just fine). Yelp has sorely disappointed me! The ladies at Pro nails were v nice so I almost feel bad rating it only 2 stars. However, truth is non negotiable! The mani-pedi looked fine at a glance but upon closer inspection it was v sloppy. I have top coat on the skin around my nails. Ironically, on the nails there are patches where the top coat is just totally absent. Both cuticle care and polish were so subpar. I'm gonna have to do some clean up work at home w polish remover, cuticle cutters, and a top coat polish. Quite possibly the worst mani pedi I've ever had. I would have rated it one star because the quality was so poor but the service was good. So 2 stars. read more

This is the nail place we women are all looking for. Hundreds of shellac colors available (from CND, OPI and Gelish) in a nice clean environment for a good price. $25 will get you a shellac manicure that lasts for 4 weeks, no joke. I got my nails done just before Thanksgiving and just made it back here this week to get them redone. They've never charged me a fee to remove the nails either which is so nice. The nail techs are all very talented and genuinely kind and accommodating. I came in late with my mom on another occasion (not realizing it was 15 minutes before the closed) and they were so nice about the whole thing. Never had a bad experience here! I went here with a girlfriend for shellac mani and pedi. The pedicures were both great and my friend's nails were perfect. My nails on the other hand were awful. I was told because I previously had dip that my nails were uneven which js why the shellac looked so horrible. There were bumps, polish was sloppy and the shape of my nails were round when I specifically asked for square. I left with my friend and kept staring at my nails thinking these look awful and cannot believe I paid for this. I finally decided to call back and I spoke with Sarah. She told me to come in and she would fix my nails. I went in and she did an amazing job. My nails were absolutely perfect after she was done and she was so sweet the entire time. Only reason I'm giving four stars is that I had to go back to get my nails fixed. From now on I will only let Sarah do my nails. read more

I love this place. It is certainly a no-frills spot, but the prices reflect that - can't beat a $23 pedicure. I come here for a pedicure about every 3 weeks - they usually last that full 3 weeks and sometimes longer. I am typically in and out in about 35 minutes - which is exactly what I'm looking for. I think three stars looks a little harsh, but the description is "A-OK" for three stars, while 4 stars is "Yay! I'm a fan." And A-OK is exactly what this place is. I received a coupon for a $20 shellac manicure. That's a pretty good deal. There are a couple of places a little closer to Park Meadows where the beginning rate for a shellac manicure is $35. The space itself is small and plain, but clean enough. No overwhelming smell. The man who greeted me, who I believe is the owner, was very kind and polite. The lady who did my nails was also sweet. She smiled a lot. However, I was getting a french shellac manicure, and she did not ask me what shape I wanted my nails or how thick I wanted the tips. When I put my hand in the dryer thing for both the initial base gel coat and then the final top coat, it burned like hell on a couple of my fingers for the first few seconds, which I've never experienced before. Some polish residue was also left on my fingers, which she should have removed. I noticed that there was polish buildup on many of the bottles, while other places I have been, they make sure they clean that off. Doesn't really affect me, but little things like that make an impression. It was fine, my nails turned out cute, and for the price (With tip, $20 less than I would normally spend elsewhere), I'm not complaining. This is just somewhere I would go for a more casual experience. read more

Needed a nail repair while in vacation so popped in for gel manicure and pedi. No waiting and they were all very friendly. What I liked best was they did no try to up sell me any services, gave me exactly what I wanted/needed. Manicurist patiently explained to me difference between gel and shellac and even suggested different nail shapes while repairing my broken nail. I've been torn on whether I should write a glowing review or not because I don't want this place to become too busy for a lunchtime mani, but the place is great and deserves a good review. I've only gotten shellac manicures here so I'll speak to that nail service. A shellac mani is $25, they have many color options, and will do nail art. My manicures here always last 3 weeks and only need to be redone because my nails grow out. They use two coats of topcoat for the most durable manicure you'll ever have! They use a buffer to take off old shellac polish rather than an acetone soak which I appreciate. The technicians are friendly and make a point to learn your name. The salon is clean and comfortable. It's not flashy, but it's still nice. They're pretty quick - fast enough for a lunchtime manicure. I've also had my brows waxed here and I think with a manicure, it was about $10. read more

This would have been a five star rating, but after today, I had to bump it down two stars. I've had wonderful experiences here and not the best experiences. Most recent visit was not the best. My mother came with me and they soaked her shellac nails off by having her soak her hands in a bowl of acetone instead of by wrapping them in foil, which dried out her fingers and made them sting. They also gave her a metal scraper to scrape the polish off herself instead of doing it as part of the process like they normally do. Also, cut her skin and cut two nails painfully short. My nails were okay, but they have little bumps all over them and the top cuticle is covered in uneven polish. A little sloppy. However, when the owner did my nails, it was one of the best manicures I've ever had. Great massage and price. When another technician has done my nails, it has been a little sloppy both times. Kind of hit or miss, just make sure you go with the right person. read more
