DO NOT USE THIS ESTABLISHMENT! DISCRIMINATORY BEHAVIOR AND STEREOTYPING. PLEASE READ THIS WHOLE POST, for your own sake!!! Let me tell you about the experience I just had with the two decrepit (what I assume) owners...I walk in, neither bother to stand up or properly greet me. There are no other people in the waiting area. They are obviously just talking among themselves. I say hello and the old plastic woman immediately demands my ID. I ask why and the plastic man looks at the old plastic woman and says "Let me take this...This is Albuquerque, people here are classless. They will come in here and walk out with multiple pairs of sunglasses." I proceed to pull out my ID and state jokingly, "I feel like I am in a porn shop, I have never had to hand over my ID to wait to be spoken to." The plastic people look at me as if I just told them their fillers were oozing out of their faces. They were so appalled that the old plastic woman says to me "It will be at least 20 minutes before I can speak with you"...mind you, she is just sitting and talking with the plastic man. (Guess they can't take a joke, probably because their faces are too frozen to smile.) It was obvious at that point that they did not want my business. So I tell them that I received a gift certificate at Christmas and I would like to redeem it for the cash because I will not be using their services. The haggard plastic woman refuses to return the money, stating, "We don't give refunds." So I told the awful pair that I will eat the money and they will be getting an honest review of my experience in their establishment. As I left the vile plastic woman runs to the door and slams it shut. I have an MBA from UNM, so coming from a business standpoint, what "high end" retail store demands they hold your ID while you wait to be served? (Other than sex shops-high or low end) When shopping at Saks, a sales person would NEVER demand access to a customer's ID, to hold while they are shopping, just to ensure that thief does not occur. Does Solarius not have general insurance? Solarius is so cheap that they make customers feel like thieves to avoid a couple of cheap sunglasses getting lifted? Essentially, this policy of holding ID's while waiting to be serviced implies precisely what the plastic man so blatantly admitted to me...All New Mexicans are thieves. Now, I am a business woman in Albuquerque and a proud New Mexican. I am offended personally and publicly, on behalf of all the good people of Albuquerque, to be generalized as low class. Furthermore, I would never refuse a refund to a customer if they were not fully satisfied...and in this case, I didn't even get to use the service!!! Their attitudes were elitist, their mannerisms were disrespectful and their appearance was scary. If they are an example of the services in which you can get there, then stay away or you will end up looking like one of those black market Botox cases gone bad. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND SELF RESPECT BY BOYCOTTING THIS BUSINESS. THEY DO NOT VALUE THE PATRONS OF OUR STATE AND DESERVE TO GO OUT OF BUSINESS....and literally robbed me of $50 by not wanting to serve me, nor refund the money spent on the gift certificate. How ironic is that? They are so afraid of theft, then steal from a customer?! I'll tell you what, this will be the best $50 I have spent in a long time, if my post has saved at least one person the humiliating experience I just had with the plastic people and their dying business... and if it just so happens to affects their P/L statement, then that is truly a bonus! I will be sure to tell every soul I know of my heinous experience at Solarius Spa, post it on every social media platform at my disposal and I will also be contacting the BBB to report the thievery. Great experience! The staff is very professional and welcoming. They answered all of my questions and explained everything in detail. Zero pressure environment. Will definitely go again! This is equivalent to a luxury spa in Beverly Hills or a luxury designer store such as Gucci. Any review that is less than five stars for Solarius is crazy and is probably not the kind of clientele that should be going to Solarius anyways. Go down to one of the places thats like all the other places in the USA- if you want something unique and special- go to Solarius. It's hard to write for this special place as it doesn't need any accolades with my review. It's an honor to be able to be a part of this exclusive spa that I happened to run into years ago. Solarius has become family. What a fantastic find. My whole family comes to Solarius so that we can prepare for our yearly Caribbean vacation. Not only do we not burn while we are on vacation but we are able to enjoy our even skin tone and tan throughout each vacation. Our whole vacation is spent enjoying time with each other and enjoying the sites rather than having to recover from overexposure on the beach. Felt like a queen at this Spa! Let's begin at the entrance. There is tight security. Which made me feel extremely safe. Especially being in a room undressed for a spa service, I felt safe to know that the entrance is only opened by one of the stunning professionals up front. Your time then follows with a beverage, a hot tea of your choice, some coffee, or their delicious berry water. The service itself was great. They really care about my skin and about my results. They are always asking questions to make sure I am happy and satisfied. When I first walked in I sat with my berry water and could overhear everyones kindness and appreciation from the guests and the staff. Thank you for making me feel like a queen! read more

I started going to Solarius in 2012 and I went regularly for a few years. I moved to a different area of town right after purchasing a new package and with my move I didn't make it back till this week. I have missed Solarius! They remembered me and welcomed me with hugs! I have always had a great experience with sunless and regular tanning at Solarius. The staff is friendly and helpful, the service is above and beyond! Love this place! I like how they're upfront about everything and very easy going. The beds are the best I have seen and used in my life. Everyone is friendly. Highly Recommend!!! They give each person all the time they need to make sure their questions are answered. Very much appreciated. It is rare to get proper attention anywhere these days and to be able to take as much time as I needed and to get all of my questions answered was amazing. I have gone in for the Non-Surgical Facelift facial, twice so far. Everyone is very knowledgeable on skin care and has helped advise me on how to keep my face healthy. The esthetician was very interested in my skin care needs but was also eager to assist me with any concerns I had about my skin. Overall, both spa experiences were phenomenal and I definitely plan on returning, as I have made this my go-to skin care place! This is the best wellness center & tanning spa that I have been to. Living part time in LA, you would think I would have found a high-end, elegant place to receive my vitamin D and glow. This place in Albuquerque tops every place I have been to in the country. They know what they are doing and are highly educated in what they are teaching. I came to Solarius in order to get ready for my wedding. They nailed it! I was very thankful. I was originally going to get a spray tan but I opted to tan instead in order to have some color on my skin as protection for my honeymoon. They taught me what I needed to do in order to prepare my skin ahead of time and make sure it was well taken care of throughout my time at Solarius. I don't usually write reviews, but my experience at Solarius was wonderful from the moment I walked in the door. The staff was very warm and friendly and made me feel comfortable from the get go. Everyone was very knowledgeable about all the different systems and they were able to suggest the best equipment for my needs and skin type.
