It would be great to have a better walkway from where you park to get to the actual stadium. Otherwise, I like the historical memorabilia, and the fact that it honors soldiers.

I really enjoyed my first visit to this stadium to watch a Chicago Fire soccer game. Every seat seems like a good view. Really fun ambiance. Lots of fire effects and good music. The concessions were delicious too. Mr. Beef sandwiches were excellent. Serious security. They went through my clear bag thoroughly twice and scanned me with their wand. I love the location. I took a nice walk along Lake Michigan afterwards. I look forward to attending more events here.

This August I attended both a Bears preseason game and the My Chemical Romance concert, and I enjoyed myself thoroughly at both events. That said, I have some takeaways and lessons learned. First off, security was a breeze for both events. I got to the game at least an hour before kickoff and didn't have to slow my pace to basically walk through the magnetometers. I know, depending on when you arrive, depending on how the team is doing, who the opponent is, and how the weather is would all affect this, but I wouldn't expect terrible lines unless you plan poorly. I arrived to the concert while the opener was playing and similarly walked in with ease. (If you're the type to rush for merch, maybe you'll fight a crowd, but hey, they were selling merch outside of the venue as well as inside). I'm sure it's been said before, but get yourself a clear bag if you need to pack something in (sunscreen, a sweatshirt, hand sani). And just play it cool and positive! The one moment I got stopped was when a security staffer wanted to know where they could get a coat like the one my girlfriend was wearing (basement of Macy's, you can find steals and deals). Food and drink is going to be at a premium price for less than premium quality, but anytime you're in a stadium of any kind, you're experiencing something! The buzz, the excitement, that elevated existence comes with elevated prices. There are traditional counter service vendors, the walking vendors, and various self-service areas. Just know that whatever drink you buy, they will open it or make you open it immediately. If it's a bottle, you have to toss the cap out. (I'm sure this is to reduce the chance of something being thrown, and if something IS thrown, then the damage it causes is reduced to mostly wet people as opposed to potential head injuries). With seats on the field for the concert, this went one step further and bottled beverages had to be poured into open cups. Lesson learned however: BRING IN A SODA BOTTLE CAP OF YOUR OWN! That way you can fill up with water and not worry about spilling all over yourself. Facilities were as clean as expected, vendors were all friendly. The worst part of both experiences is a common knock on Soldier Field and a common knock on many concerts/sporting events: getting out. At least at a game, people may toss the towel and dip out early, but at a concert, everyone is going to hang on until it's clear no more music is coming. And then that mass of humanity has to shuffle out in a smooth and orderly fashion. As if. Getting out after the My Chem show, there was a shocking volume of bodies all moving in the same direction even outside of the stadium (I may have climbed a wall and hopped a railing to pass a bottleneck...), and even a mile out, there were still pockets of us ambling about. So maybe those parking passes might be worth it?

We spent some time in Chicago Ill recently. As a football fan (though not a Chicago Bears fan) I couldn't resist making a visit to Soldier Field. Even on a non-gameday... Perched proudly on the edge of Lake Michigan, just south of the shimmering glass and steel of downtown Chicago... Soldier Field stands not merely as a stadium, but as a monument to American grit and sporting legend. As you walk around the stadium, you'll notice the contrast between the original row of columns (a nod to its 1920s heritage) and the modern renovations completed sometime in the early 2000s. Whether you love or hate the updated design it's visually striking... The stadium, originally known as Grant Park Municipal Stadium, was renamed Soldier Field in 1925 in honor of the men and women of the armed forces. The Veterans Memorial Wall, near the stadium's base, brings a moment of quiet reverence. Names etched in granite. Flags snapping in the wind. It's a reminder that this stadium stands not just for entertainment, but in remembrance... Soldier Field is a tribute... To history. To heartbreak. To heroism. To a city that bleeds navy and orange, with a skyline in its chest and a lake at its feet...

I've seen Bp in a hockey rink, an NBA arena, and now a football stadium. I suspect the next Blackpink tour will be in space. Any who, let's talk about Soldier Field. I was excited to see Blackpink again, but I was also excited to check out Soldier Field. It's not a place I've been or a place I'll ever go since I'm not a Bears fan. (Steelers for life). When it comes to NFL stadiums, I've been to a few(Indy, Cincinnati, Nashville, Pittsburgh, Detroit). And now Chicago... and it's probably for the best that they're moving to a new stadium sooner rather than later. It's fine, and I'm sure it serves its purpose well, but you can definitely tell it's dated. That old feel does add a certain historic charm to the place, but in this situation, I'm not jaded by that history. To be one of the major markets in the US, and sit right next to the city and Lake Michigan, you would expect magnificent. You can't even get to the place easily. It's a bit over a mile walk from the train, even. That part wasn't a huge deal because we walked in, but even the parking seemed lacking. Security seemed to be all over the place. One thing to note if you're visiting for a concert. Check their bag policy. They're super strict and won't let you in. They'll send you around to the lockers, which are south of the stadium. If you're entering on the north side and have to utilize the lockers, you're going to be walking an extra 2 miles before you make it into the venue. Another oddity for us was that they had part of the concourse closed. So walking in... we could've been in our seats in 5 minutes. Instead, we had to walk around the concourse to the other side(about 15 minutes) before we reached our section. Aside from that, the self-checkout concessions were awesome. The place was clean, and the staff was ready to answer any questions and direct you if needed. I'd likely attend another concert here, but if the touring act visits another city or venue in proximity, I'd opt for the other venue/city.

MISTAKE BY THE LAKE, PART 2 As much as I love Chicago and da Bears, their move to Arlington Heights can't happen soon enough. My wife and I saw AC/DC perform at Soldier Field on Memorial Day weekend, and it was a lot of fun. Though she'd never been here before, this was my fourth time (Bears preseason game, Guns N Roses concert, Spring Awakening 2014) and it was everything I had come to expect. First off, a seating capacity of only 61,000 people is woefully inadequate when talking about one of the largest media markets in the country. As a matter of fact, Chicago's very own Soldier Field is now that SMALLEST stadium in the NFL! No wonder fans can hardly attend games -- demand is so high and supply so meager. The stadium is incredibly easy to find yet almost impossible to get to, unless you live on a boat in Lake Michigan. The nearest CTA stop is Roosevelt, more than a mile from Soldier Field and a 20 minute walk. Your other option is to pay upwards of $50 to park nearby, or (maybe) have an Uber drop you off. There was a heavy security presence and entry to the concert was fairly smooth. However, exiting the stadium was a total nightmare. A massive pedestrian bottleneck formed trying to cross over the Metra tracks, and it must've taken us 15 minutes JUST to get onto the ramp. After that, it was another 15-20 minute walk to our car in drizzling rain. Don't even get me started on the douchebag vendor. Despite advertising Blue Moon in 16oz cans, the first beer vendor we encountered said "nah we don't sell that", okay we'll settle for a Coors Light then. When we added a (conventional) tip of $1/beer he sarcastically shouted "ooohhh BIG tippers here, we got some BIIIIIIG tippers tonight!" Like are you fucking kidding me dude?? How about NO TIP next time with that scornful attitude. Never in my life have I seen such rudeness from a stadium employee. * TL;DR * Review updates aren't usually my bag, I just had to vent about what I consider one of the WORST stadiums I've ever been to (probably 19th out of 19). Worst facilities, worst vendors, worst logistics to get in/out, worst exposure to the elements, and definitely worst aesthetics. Plopping a glass and steel monstrosity on top of a revered historical structure was colossally stupid. Some people think the U.F.O looks cool, but I think it looks hideous, a blight on an otherwise beautiful lakefront landscape. Tear down the modern garbage, leave the original WW2 structure and turn Soldier Field into a museum or something. The people of Chicago deserve better than this.

I have only attended soldier field for concerts. To be very specific only for Beyoncé concerts. I love that this facility is off the lake and you get the massive views of downtown. I really want to attend a sporting event here and will be really bummed if Da Bear leave. This field is really a historic treasure. It is one of the oldest stadiums in the country and I really do need to get back to see additional events here. As mentioned on both occasions, I was here to see Beyoncé, once for Renaissance and lastly for cowboy Carter. Each time I sat on completely opposite sides of the field. The first time I was in the lower 400s which was kind of far, but would probably be decent for a football game. The second time I sat at the club level in section 316 and that was really nice. I thought we had a little bit more room over there and also it was nice having an easier access to the concession stands. I will also say it was a lot easier getting out from the 300 level as opposed to the 400 level just because of where they were located for the club seats. All in all, this is a super nice stadium but getting here is semi hard because it's a good mile walk from CTA train and then also just getting through the park is somewhat an obstacle, especially if there's a festival being set up. There are plenty of bicycle taxis that will take your money and get you there so you could always use that option. On both occasions that I went traffic was really closed down and you're only option. Was the bicycle or your feet. I will also note that they do have those rent a bikes that are nearby the stadium so you could also ride one of those into there. just no guarantee that a bike is going to be available after your event is Over

This venue was the destination that kicked off my friend and I's Chicago trip planning - we got to see Blackpink live! Both of us aren't die-hard BLINKs, but the chance to see them in person (and reunite after a while) was too good to pass up. Our original LA concert plans flopped (I was ready to pull every connection card I had), but Chicago became our perfect Plan B. Location: Right off Lake Shore Dr, this place screamed "Roman Coliseum vibe" - towering, massive, and definitely built for spectacle. Getting there: Unless you live in South Loop, this is a "wear comfortable shoes and thank yourself later" situation. My friend and I stayed at an Airbnb nearby... and we still clocked a solid 30-45 minute walk. As for parking? Unless you like traffic jams... Atmosphere: Electric, lively, and loud - pure ddu-du ddu-du energy. Even as casual fans, we were swept in a magical sea of pink light sticks and buzzing excitement. The visuals and audio were crisp - no "tiny ant" stage views here. The fireworks synced to certain songs? Incredible. Merch: An hour-long wait (aka more standing), but worth it - I fulfilled my K-pop dream of purchasing a light stick that doubles as an emergency flashlight. Food/drinks: Didn't try any, but the stands looked like your classic stadium fare: beer, hot dogs, burgers. Nothing Blackpink-themed or unique. Service: The only "interaction" was a lightning-fast ticket scan, and we were in. Price: Technically "free" after paying for your tickets (so... not free, but let's pretend). Would I return? If the stars align and I find myself in Chicago again with another must-see artist on the lineup who's performing at this stadium? Sure thing.

I used to live walking distance to Soldier Field, and at that time I had a love/hate relationship with the place.... Because I could hear concerts in my apartment if I opened the window. Cool sometimes. Real annoying sometimes. But overall, after attending several events, I like it. It's clean, easy to navigate. Prices are over the top and it stinks getting there via public transit or parking. Brings in some good shows, but I wouldn't go out of my way to see someone there unless I really loved them.

First time here for a Bears game and it was fabulous! Easy drive into the stadium. Easy parking at the white lot, close to the gates, security was easy to navigate through. Staff were friendly and polite! Beautiful stadium too! Well kept!

I came here for the Beyoncé cowboy Carter concert. I loved the fact that parking was easy and attached to the stadium which saved us from a ton of walking. Getting in was easy and no fuss at all. The venue was PACKED! I mean, not that I was surprised, I mean we are talking about thee Beyoncé....... This was the opening show in Chicago and boy did the Beyhive show up and showed out. That being said, they could have worked on organization a bit more. With so many people in one place it was really hot. The ac should had been on Antarctica! People were on top of each other because it was storming out, but we survived. I really wish they would have had a SirDavis setup like they did in LA. But, they had many bars and food available for purchase. Despite it being really packed, the restrooms were clean and well maintained. It was a nightmare trying to find our seats, the crowd was just too big. It would have helped if there were staff directing the people traffic. The seats are extremely uncomfortable and tight. But, it was all worth it! Beyoncé put on a phenomenal show, and I'd do it all over again! Soldier Field is an open stadium so keep that in mind. It states that soldier field could seat 61,500 people and there was not an empty seat in site.

Thus place is a Chicago icon and where many artists dream of performing. I went here recently for the Black Pink concert and the venue did not disappoint. My only gripe about this place is that it is VERY hard to get an uber home. There should be designated uber pick up areas like the airport. Other than that, it's a great venue.

We were there for the Coldplay concert Sunday night. Cannot say enough about how great the concert was. Soldier Field is a remodeled stadium, we took the 164 bus line to get there from our hotel in downtown Chicage. I would not drive there and park, the bus service is very organized. read more

Went to my first bears game ever on thursday 09.03.09 ... bears v browns, and surely those of you die hards recall, BEARS WON! Bought some stellar seats on stubhub: section 224 row 1, south end zone! The only downer was that the food and beers were incredibly over-priced as are tickets (what professional sport isn't these days), but it was still one of the highlights of 2009 for me! Great view, great game, great atmosphere, what more could a girl ask for?! I've seen Soldier Field from the outside and of course pictures online of the inside.... Personally I thought it was great. I dunno, maybe I was awe-struck because I was finally at a Bears game. But to all the hater's of Solider Field's "look": who gives a shit what the stadium looks like, all that matters is watching some football and praying for a bears win! BEAR DOWN CHICAGO BEARS!!!! read more

I've run this race two years in a row and this year will be my third attempt at the 10 mile race. I have finished both times and love crossing the 50 yard line. Unfortunately, I am one of the "back of the pack" runners. I do this run not only because it is fun, but as a way to kick start my fitness program. I am not the fastest runner but I have a great time. I know my starting place and always stand in the back so that the faster runners can speed by. I also stay to the right to assist those passing me (must be from all of my runs on the lakefront - "on your left"). The bling and swag from this race are amazing. I now have two awesome stadium blankets to take to Cubs and Bears games. Packet pickup is always easy for me, but I usually go during the off peak periods. Fleet Feet's volunteers are amazing and supportive. The only bad thing is the distance the runners have to go after the race for gear check pickup. When you've just run ten miles, you don't want to go another half mile to rescue your gear. I also have to give a huge shout out to one of the balloon ladies. During my first run, I was having trouble on the last mile due to a blister and she promised to stay with me while I finished the race. Thanks! Looking forward to my third run in 2 months and this year I am even volunteering with set-up at Soldier Field the day before. I like to give back to the racing community when possible. read more

This was my first visit to Soldier Field and hopefully not my last. I've been to other arenas and this was a very positive experience. We had no trouble finding our entrance or our seats. The employees at consession were delightful. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the prices on beer, food, and souvenirs. But that's to be expected at an event like this. read more

After a long renovation the stadium itself is a combo of old and new architecture. They thought it was worth it to spend millions to do this. I'm glad they kept Da Bears where they are in Downtown Chicago.I will be cheering them on this season and hope to be at this stadium for a game or two. read more

I'm not sure who expects $3 beers at a stadium...if that's what you want, google "football for people who are in it for drink specials". If you want cheap parking, then yell at Daley. We haven't had that in Chicago in YEARS. If you want good food, EAT BEFORE YOU GET THERE or do what real football fans do: TAILGATE! Soldier Field is awesome! I've been to Lambeau and Ford Field for games...the Great Dome Debacle ruined my NFC North tour...and Soldier Field is just like any other stadium...EXPENSIVE!! The awesome thing about it is that Da Bears play there. What more could you want? read more

Bears fans are da best. Classic place to watch the game. Even though it's been updated it still has that old school feeling. Tailgates are insane. Sat in United club sect 210. 35 yard line. Great seats. Food choices could be bit better. That's why I didn't give it 5 stars. read more

This stadium has always caused come controversy at least since I have lived here. The bottom portion is a beautiful romanesque architecture and the top looks modern and metallic like a spaceship. I have been here several times for different functions and it is always clean and well maintained. I especially like the theme throughout honoring our men and women in the armed forces. There is also a veteran memorial Wall nearby. read more

My most recent visit was to see the Bears play their first preseason game and as always I was underwhelmed by this venue. Obviously no negative review should stop you from going to catch a game or a show here but as forewarning: Beer is $8.50, brats are $7.00 and both are served by vendors who you might guess were only introduced to the concept of working a fast food counter during the National Anthem. Most seats in the house are good for games or shows, except for the end zone seating. Finally, should you find yourself at Soldier Field on a sub zero day do whatever it takes to get club seating which will save your sanity, if not your life (or at least bring a piece cardboard to put under your feet while siting in the stands, you can thank me later.) read more

One of the best stadiums in the country!! Maybe i am biased since I am Bears season ticket holder. I have been to many stadiums this stadium has a lot to offer the food selections are all top notch there is plenty to choose from. This year they changed the menu around. Mac and cheese hotdog is a favorite. United club offers a full buffet prior to every game there is simply to much to choose from. New jumbo screens are plus this year as well read more

Took a tour of the stadium with Pat as our guide, and he did a phenomenal job answering questions, talking about the facility, and being a comedic relieve. Taking the tour the day after a heart breaking loss, it was really cool to see how the stadium is cleaned and prepped. Hopefully, the results will be better when I bring my 13 y/o daughter in a couple weeks Anyways, the only thing that would of made the tour better is if one of those fridges with beer was left unlocked read more

Just went to my first Bears game and this is by far the worst sports stadium I've ever been to. First, my friend couldn't get in with his medical supplies until a medical person came to verify them and give him the ok, so we had to wait outside for a while. Then we couldn't find where to go to get to our seats. Every employee we asked told us something different and some of them just said they don't know where the seats are at all. The corridors were also way too small and as a result get really congested and are impossible to walk through. I'd love to go to another game but will not set foot in this stadium again. read more

I went to soldier Field on Friday Saturday and Sunday over the July 4 weekend for the Grateful Dead fairly well shows. The staff at the soldiers field was tremendous as was everybody in Chicago actually own their city. They had it so well organized I didn't see any problems with anybody anywhere and we broke records this weekend 70,000+ everyday! I just can't say enough about Chicago and soldier Field MICHAEL read more

Love the Bears but absolutely deplore Soldier Field. Have watched numerous games at the field and it is always the same. Concessions are overpriced and they simply have no idea on how to streamline their food service . Waited almost the entire 2nd quarter to get a couple of sandwiches and mind you, this was preseason with the stadium less the half full. Complained at a "Fan Stand" (where they look for feedback) and clearly my complaint fell on deaf ears. My recommendation - watch the Bears bit do it at a local bar! read more

Go Bears! I've been here twice and both have been delightful experiences! First I came here to a Bears vs Vikings back in December 2006 in my first NFL game and it's the one I'll never forget! It was freezing but I mean freezing but I still remember Devin Hester return a punt for a touchdown!! The second was in 2009 to have a tour in the stadium and it was impressive, the suites were WOW and the field was excellent! Beautiful stadium! Highly recommend going to a game! Go Bears! read more

I recently purchased 2 tickets to the Coyote Hockey Classic at a cost of $145USD with the hope of seeing college teams battle it out on the ice. The programs nor any of the staff had any information about the scheduling of the event. Ticket indicated the first game was to start at 3pm. The event staff were rude and dismissive upon my query of start time of the second game. Eventually, after several text messages to my friends who actually know people on the hockey team and had insider updates was I able to learn that the second game was scheduled for 7pm. Technical difficulties ensued. Despite the ambient outdoor temperatures being far lower than typical indoor hockey rinks (30-40F vs. 55-60F) the ice was far too melty to allow safe play. I sat and watched as the venue attempted to sweep away the layer of water on the ice with zambonis, then people, then zamboni again. The lack of preparedness of the venue equipment staff was astonishing. Both games were delayed an hour and forty five minutes. The second game did not start until after it would have been finished had it started on time. I could not stay to see the second game due to prior work related commitments so I requested a refund/credit from ticketmaster and they said I would get no credit from them and should contact the venue. I contacted the venue (Soldier Field's Marty McAndrew) and he said I would have to contact the event and that he could do nothing to help me. International Champions Cup Manchester United v Paris St Germain 07/29/15 Game was great, HOWEVER, upon arrival, 15 minutes prior to the start time, we were directed by Soldier Field staff to go from the North gate to the West gate for a "shorter wait". We did not make it into the arena until the game was 30 minutes in (1/3 of the game) there was only 2 ticket takers at the West gate. This really was a huge disappointment and I expect way more from an arena this size. Also after the game they cattle heard you away from the arena and museum campus, which also took about 30 minutes. read more

On a Summer day at 90+ degrees your concessions should not run out of ice and cold water bottles and then charge $6 a bottle after waiting 25 mins in line. I have been to 50+ Cubs games and 10 Bears games and the McCaskeys should take a page out of the Ricketts book on business and learn how to accomodate fans... Basically the MGMT of Soldier field sucks in every facet of business and operations from parking, entering the field, concessions, big screens,... Its consistently a shitty experience even when the Bears win... Get it the together in this century!! read more

If you're going to watch the greatest sport in the world you might as well watch the best home team in the world play in the best facility in the world. And that facility would be Soldier Field! Expect a resurgent Bears this year, and my fantasy league can expect my all-in on the Cutler and Forte show to finally pay off and take me all the way! Hear that Andy? Your time is over, you won't be stealing the top from me with your numbers and math based approach. There's no heart in it, you've got no heart! Great hot dogs too, btw, at Soldier Field. Took the VIP tour with my kids. It was the cheapest thing we did while in Chicago and by far our most favorite! Pat was a great tour guide. Kids got to run on the field. Saw amazing views! The tour is less about the Bears than you may think. So even if you're not a Bears fan it would be enjoyable. Would HIGHLY recommend this tour! read more

This stadium doesn't allow ppl to bring umbrellas inside, you have to throw your umbrella away at the entry. This is very inconvenient when it rains, you take your umbrella to the stadium, when the game is over and you need to go home, you have to walk in the rain because no umbrella anymore. And there is no any warning on your ticket, you only find this out when you arrive there. Security guys at the entry were very rude and cold blooded. BTW, you will also get a pat down at gates, just like airports. I was never being treated like this in the Wrigley field. read more

For as long as I have lived in the area, I had never been to Soldier Field, or a Bears game. Well FINALLY my day came! 10th row seats on a beautiful evening...can't get much better than that! Our seats were great, I wish I had the money to buy season tickets! I found that the stadium was clean, easy to navigate, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the bathrooms (at least when I was in them) were not disgusting. That is always a plus. It's a very pretty stadium, and I love the tributes to the military. Touching and beautiful. There were plenty of places to find food and drinks. Of course everything is overpriced, like any stadium. They also did not accept credit card at the drink stands (boo) so bring cash. Also, they do not allow bags (you do have to go through security to get in), so make sure you ladies only bring a clutch. read more

MUST READ IF ATTENDING CONCERT The stadium is beautiful and the views are spectacular. Below is my review for this the use of Soldier Field for music events. On The Run Tour (Jay Z and Beyonce) I am beyond disappointed with this show. The audio from our seats was nonexistent. No, I'm not kidding. This is not an exaggeration (I wish it was). I couldn't hear a word out of either artists mouth. Literally. Anyone in our section would agree. Ticketmaster and Soldier Field should be ashamed of themselves for selling seats in the upper 400s at this stadium for music events. The sound bounces off of the overhang, stopping a significant amount of sound from being heard by those sitting directly underneath. It's simple engineering... I understand this and I'm not an engineer!!! (I'm a pharmacist). We left early because the experience was so terrible. Oh and because the concert started 1.5 hours late. It's Thursday night... Like most of the population, we had work in the morning! As we walked out, just out of curiosity, we stepped into the first section behind the stage that was blocked off because of view obstruction. Yes the view was slightly obstructed (you could still see Beyonce's rear, which was intended to be the talk of the show anyway) BUT at least you could HEAR her voice and it was a beautiful voice at that. I am still searching for Soldier Field contact info so I can make them aware of this problem. In my opinion, we truly deserve the $250 refund for our tickets. PARKING Don't park at the stadium. The cost is $50 and traffic sucks. We parked outside, walked 15 minutes to our car, didn't have to sit in traffic outside of the lot...and we paid $8. (See my tip to save $5 and get the same parking for just $3!) read more

From what I've seen; this venue had to be the best one that BTS preformed at on their US leg of tour. I went to their Day 1 show and it was very organized and staff were very friendly and understanding. They handled everything really well and I was surprised because it was easy how the whole thing could've become a mess, especially with how how fans came early to line up for soundcheck but everything still went smoothly. When I got in for soundcheck it was raining and staff came over right before and started handing people free rain ponchos so we didn't get wet. I greatly appreciated it because I did not go through all the effort to do my hair and make up just to look ugly and soaked right before BTS come on haha. Plus it was freezing so imagine getting wet + that cold omg, I'm glad getting that rain poncho prevented me from getting sick. The venue in general is beautiful! I drove from Virginia for this concert and it was my first time in Chicago. After soundcheck we had to stay in the venue and the show didn't start for another two hours so I walked around the stadium for a bit and really enjoyed it. It's very clean and the slight view of the city is awesome! When I got to my actual seats I made friends with all the staff in my section and they were all kind and excited for me. I actually appreciated how relaxed the security was, they were doing their jobs of course making sure no one did anything bad but at the same time were understanding making sure they didn't get in fans way during the concert. I was in the section right next to catwalk but I was the last person in my row, I couldn't see too well when BTS went to the extended stage. I asked security if for my favorite song I could move a bit so I could see slightly better and instead the security guard took me all the way down the aisle and found me an open space next to the extended stage and let me enjoy it for the song! I got an interaction with Hoseok who is my bias and it's a memory I know I'm gonna keep for the rest of my life. I'm so so thankful the security let me do that, I was literally in tears when I went back to my seat when the song finished. I had a wonderful time and I hope in the future I can attend another concert here! read more

On Oct 20 I attended a game at Soldier Field between the Bears and the New Orleans saints. Upon arrival we purchase a statium approved bag. One for myself and one for my mom. Granted we both had a personal bag Witch was within the guidelines. We rolled up our personal bags and placed them into our clear bags. We started our way to gate 28 excited to go to my first Chicago bears game in honor of my fathers passing. With my our bags in hand a member of Montererrey security approached is from behind and said you are not allowed to bring those bags into the statium. Our family looked at each other and became confused. We purchased two clear statium approved bags and both of our personal bags where inside the clear bag. while she was saying this to us the woman at the security checkpoint had already told my mom to go through and she was looking at my bag. The person working in the gate told us we were fine to go in. The woman who identified herself as a manager was screaming bloody murder that we were not to go into the stadium and that we were not allowed to bring the bags in which she was referencing to. Never in my life have I been treated like that, when we had done nothing wrong. At this point we were very frustrated and my boyfriend started to exchange words with her and his frustration. I immediately told him to stop and address the woman screaming at us and told her that I was an Air Force veteran and my boyfriend was a first responder I understand you have rules and policies we purchased the clear bag and both of our personal items in which she was screaming about where within the guidelines. She calmed down momentarily and I provided her my bag and my mother gave hers as well. because of all the ruckus another team member came to see what was going on and the other security guards explain how irate the manager was getting and said that she would be sent home for the day. I've defended this country and to be treated like I am the enemy in this situation was just ridiculous and could've been handled in a much more professional manner read more

I've never actually been inside Soldier Field, but on a recent trip to Chicago, we were able to see the outside of this stadium in all its majestic glory. I really liked the set-up of this football stadium and the memorial paying homage to those who have risked their lives defending our country. It's both symbolic and a good home to the Chicago Bears. read more

I liked it here! We went to a Bears game and had fun. My only thing was no one, and I mean NO ONE knew how to get to gate 10, will call, after we had entered. Long story short, you cant get there after entering. PERIOD. Lets do something about that, please! Other than that, we had a great time. read more

BEST CHICAGO RACE I HAVE EVER PARTICIPATED IN. Hands down. I can't imagine there could be anything more fun than this. Got a cute tech shirt, stadium blanket, finisher's medal (I love when there's a medal), great volunteers and good recovery food. But the very best part is finishing on the 50 yard line. Who can say they were actually on Soldier Field? This girl right here, that's who. I've never even seen a game here and Saturday I was on the field. I want to make sure to say too, that the course was beautiful and it went by fast. I did the Chicago Half last year and after about mile eight I was growing incredibly bored with Lake Shore Drive. But this was wonderful, the first five miles are on Lake Shore, but before you know it you've hit the turnaround and finish the last five right along the lake. It was beautiful. Will absolutely do this one again next year. I'm still giddy because of it! read more

I have not been inside Soldier's Field since they remodeled it. I used to go there for high school football events. I gave Soldier's Field a good rating because the immediate area is absolutely beautiful. It is in the Museum Campus which makes it so lovely to take out of town guests to visit. I think the new structure is unique and very appealing. read more

There's a smoking area across from the concessions that's pretty large where people go to look at the lake and skyline so yes. Maybe officially it's just for vaping (I don't smoke) but lots of people were smoking lots of things without consequence.

Any Ubers or taxis get stopped before the bridge, so it's impossible to get closer unless you drive and park in the parking lot for Soldier Field.

Cocktail hour took place in the Lobby and adjacent Mercer room. There were two bars - one in the Lobby and one in Mercer - and hors d'oeuvres. I don't know how many guests there were, but it was crowded and tight, especially in the Lobby. Dinner (self-serve buffets), dancing, and dessert took place in the Packard room. Again, pretty standard space repurposed for events. Decor, sound, lighting, food, and drink (more bars) were all great. There was even a liquid nitrogen ice cream station. To cool off during the reception (dancing), we went outside to the adjacent Cadillac Courtyard. Restrooms are located in the basement. They were spacious, clean, and even stylish.

Hands down, Yvolina's was my favorite. The chicharron tamale with green mole sauce was still in my mind when I woke up this morning. But sadly, I had to eat a grapefruit instead. ::sad face:: They run about $10 each, but are very large. I did also enjoy Yvolina's Chicken Tinga tamale, but the chicharron is the one I'd go back for. Didn't love the churros from Xurro, but I'm a pastry chef and make churros quite often. Maybe I just prefer my own. I ordered the churro s'more and wouldn't order again. It was all way too dry. Not enough chocolate either. There were many kinds of venders. If tamales aren't your thing, you aren't out of luck. With tacos, tortas, burritos, quesadillas etc.. sold up and down the streets, there's something for everybody. My only regret was not ordering the street corn that everyone seemed to me walking around eating. As much of a pain it was to be raining, it was the perfect time to go. The crowds were very minimal. It was still a lively bunch though. Many people dancing in the streets as the music blasted in the air. I very much enjoyed my evening and will definitely return next year. Parking is a bit of a beast. Prepare to have to park a bit far and walk.

Act One: driving in to park, and we find out we need to pay $50 to park at an event where I payed $53 for a ticket. Two lanes of traffic instructed to turn right at the closest parking entrance, while the entrance a couple hundred feet down is waving us on to drive in and park. we attempt to go straight to this second (no traffic) parking entrance and an SP parking attendant yells and says we cannot go straight (despite the waving attendant). the driver of our car is frustrated with this clear inefficiency and useless increase in wait time and flips the bird at the offending attendant. said attendant then absolutely loses his mind, if he had one to start. he verbally assaults our car for 2 minutes, saying that the driver of our car is a "fucking bad parent" while the 8 year old can clearly hear him. he is demanding that we back up and are "not allowed to park here." as our driver apologized, saying he should not have flipped the bird, finally the attendant realizes that his outrageous demand is impossible, as we have been blocked in by two additional cars ready to park. the juvenile attendant realized his loud barking was useless as the window for his bite closed. as we entered the garage, our 8 year old broke down in tears, afraid that the man would, "come get her." we spent 15 minutes having her cry it out and reassuring her that she was safe. all because an imbecile attendant who can't take an occasional bird regarding the absolute atrocity of planning. Act Two: I have attended multiple NFL games. never once have i been instructed to bring my METAL CONTAINING bag through the metal detector. FIVE. TIMES. For all sporting events i attend, i try to be very conscious of the rules of the location and prepared by the time i am at the front of the line. "Maybe it's your watch," as i angrily throw the fitbit in the bin. BEEEEEP. nope, it's my fucking bag that has a metal snap. the bag that has already been hand-checked and approved by security. so now i am 'that bitch' who held up the line. finally he tells me to step back and wands my body (not my jacket or bag). i fill the silent, absence of beeping with comments like, "well i'm wearing an underwire bra," and, "do you think it's my IUD?" soaked in sarcasm. what absolutely mental individual thought that sending 30,000 (mostly) women through a metal detector with their purses would turn out well? 0 stars, do not recommend, and the Bears suck. read more

Soldier Field reminds me of that 80's mini-series "V the final battle" where the giant spaceships land in the city. Unfortunately for the residents of Chicago, this mothership ain't leaving. Like boarding the mothership, entry into Soldier field is fraught with dangers and like the V series, the security staff guarding the mothership are cold-bloded and bent on world domination. I haven't actually seen them eat rats yet, but based on the way they treated me for foolishly trying to bring an umbrella into the stadium, they might just have a special room for that. As a side note: apparently an umbrella is too dangerous to have in the stadium. Serving copious amounts of beer to guys already hammered in the stadium is totally ok though. Come on...umbrellas don't kill people..drunk guys swinging umbrellas kill people. My problem with actually going to see the game is that I feel like I actually SEE more of the game on my giant HD TV at home. As for drunk guys cheering, all that takes is a few phone calls and the promise of beer. read more

I went with my friends to the Taylor Swift 1989 tour day one since there were two and it was probably one of the worst concert experiences I've ever had. The show was great, but the stadium itself, hell no. You don't know what crooked workers are until you've seen the ones here. They reeked of alcohol and marijuana, cat called to all of the girls that walked by, did NOT focus on their jobs whatsoever and I saw them sneak numerous people in. Not to mention one worker snuck two girls in that I had met that day. He was very creepy and came off highly sexually attracted to them. My other friends and I had a bad feeling about him so we called soldier field management up from outside the stadium where it all happened. They said they'd send someone out to speak to us personally, handle the situation and talk to the other workers who witnessed him sneak them in.. but of course no one ever came out. I didn't feel safe and that's a problem especially when there's a concert that attracts a wide variety of females including very young ones. read more

Purses Not AllowD Soldier Field. My Purse Was Not Allowed In Soldier Field, It Had Four Different Medicines,My Key Set To A KeYless Start Vehicle, My Checkbook, And A Work Pager Along With Other Items. The Workers Were Extremely Rude, Told Me I Could Not Bring In My Purse. I Was Made To Throw It Over The Security Fence And Hope It Would Be There After The Game. Only To Find Out The Workers Had Thrown Every Purse Away Before The End Of The Game. At Least Wait Until After The Game ToSee If The Purses Will Be Claimed. i Left The Game Early To Try And Get My Purse. There Were No Signs On The Walk Up Saying Purses Are Not Allowed To Give Anyone a Chance To Find Other Means. There Are Medal Detectors And Workers Viewing All Items Brought Into The Game. There Is Room Under My Own Seat To Store It. There Is No Reason For This. i Now Have To Close My Checking Account, Order New Keys Which Are A Few Hundred Dollars, And Hope Insurance Will Approve New Medicine. All For Nothing. The renovations made Soldier Field look better and more modern on the inside but ruined the famous collonade on the outside. That being said, it is one of the coolest and most famous stadia in the NFL. With the Bears becoming the NFC North powerhouse, Soldier Field is a prime spot to catch a sporting event. The wind is unpredictable, which makes for interesting football games. For those who don't know, in 2005 an attempted field goal by the kicker of the 49'ers was blown by the wind into the waiting hands of Nathan Vasher, who returned it 108 yards for a touchdown and the longest play in NFL history. It looked like something out of Madden 2006. read more

Soccer Game 2015 Great venue to be at and the tickets didn't cost too much. The food and concession were very good considering how much the average drink and hot dog are at a regular stadium. i also liked how the stadium opened up very early before the scheduled even so that everyone could get in at a timely manner and so you could see the teams practice and warm up before the game. The transportation options right outside of the stadium are also a plus because you can be sure that an empty taxi is waiting to have your ride back to your hotel. Overall, great place and great experience. read more

Soldier field has by far the worst security on the planet. I asked near 10 different "security" dudes to point me towards the direction of the lockers and all of them said "I don't know." How could you possibly hire someone that has no sense of direction of your venue. It's ridiculous. Makes for an extremely irritating and time consuming visit. Soldier field has the shittiest parking in existence. we waited about an hr and a half only to be told the lots were full and asked every attendant where we had to park and they sent us to mckormick place which was also a shit show. Wanna plan for soldier field plan on paying 60 dollar parking and get there 5 hrs early . Pathetic ... Good luck getting out of there after. 1.5 hours of stand still. read more

Lifelong bears fan. I went to every game at the old soldier field from 1984 until 1996 with my brother, dad and uncle. When the spaceship landed on top of it the place was ruined. The sight lines are still pretty good but the experience isn't the same and from outside looking in it made a landmark into an eyesore. Hopefully John Fox and crew can right the (space)ship this year. read more

I don't know. Seems really hard to get to after drinking on the train. Football is so boring unless you have a good buzz going on and the last thing I want to do is walk while hammered. Plus seems like there's a lack of bathrooms and the beer is too expensive. 1 star added because the QB is a fellow Buckeye. Seems pretty beta otherwise. GO BUCKEYES!!! read more

I ran the soldier field 10 mile race here back at the end of May. They had it set up great. We finished on the 50 yard line, and they had the jumbotron broadcasting everyone finishing. I would love to get there for a game, I bet that it is a great atmosphere. The outside looks amazing as well, it looks almost like a Roman structure. read more

Best spot to see a concert and football game, only a short drive from Missouri, well depending on where you are at in the state. Parking is easy, they are very organized. Love Soldier Field. Only reason for 4 stars is because the "refreshments" are spendy. More than any other venue in the city. I do love going to bears games, non stop entertainment from begining (anthem) to the end, even though it's usually a loss :( read more
