The beginning of a year and my new path. After being divorced and out of shape from 6 years of care to others, it was time for care for me. Adian was my first trainer and awoken the joy buried deep inside. I got to a place of acceptance and strength with my body. Which I went over in my first review, the amount of growth and joy I experienced. I had reached a stable point and had to leave until I could dig for more gold to one day return. In the dead of winter, I arose once again, I said, I would be back, and I was. This time with Marques as my new guild in my next phase of life. Marques started with goals, but not just physical goals. He set up mental and spiritual growth. I was asked to make a goal that impacted my life. I said, "I wanted to be stable, financially secure, get out of debt, work on my body where I can use my left ,I have cerebral palsy) as well as my right. I wanted the goal of balancing my outer world and inner world. I was blessed with magic! As the months passed, Not only did I become stronger in my body, but step by step, I got a new job, started to learn how to budget, kicked a shopping addition, planned for my future, found an ancient doctor that works for me to balance my pain and last but not least... I experienced true joy, acceptance, and confidence in being me, whole me, flaws that are told are flaws but are things we grow from. I am so grateful to Fitness Together. They truly have people who care and help build you to your ultimate. Marques, thank you. Thank you for believing in the fact that I can believe in myself. I started as a shell of what I used to be. Together, Adian dug me out, and Marques gave me my book about me, helped me to remember, as well as grow into the best me. A gym is just a gym, but Fitness Together is a life path. I came in thinking I was just going to gain a scary booty. But I gained more than my excellent booty. I experienced life growth. One that has laid the foundation for me to build the beautiful home of myself I have always dreamed of. Marques reminded me that dreams are the first step to reality, and you are able to manifest the dreams you believe in as long as you believe in you. He gave me the gift of me. They don't have any real weight lifting equipment so you can't power lift and they basically just want everyone to use light weights and bands. The trainer didn't cancel even when he had a very bad cold so I got sick, he coughed the entire session. He said he didn't want to cancel and it was probably just allergies. In February. If you are hoping to do any cardio or even warm up, forget it. They have a couple ancient treadmills that are always broken. The front desk staff can be hit or miss--sometimes they're helpful, other times unresponsive. It's probably the most affordable gym in the area, but also likely the worst LA Fitness within a 20-mile radius. I've been to four others nearby, and this one falls short in comparison.

For the price that I scored during their membership drive, I think it's a great deal for the price...$11.99/mo. (bi-weekly). In addition to the state of the art equipment and workout gear in this facility, the staff are very welcoming and as a new member answered a lot of questions that I have about the gym and use. The front desk manager (sorry I forgot his name --Latino guy with glasses) was very helpful in addressing an account issue (to my fault) on the spot and even getting me a refund processed due to my error during my first visit to this location. So I must say, between the customer service and great equipment.....This gym exceeds all my expectations for the price. And believe me, I've had memberships across many gyms in the DMV area and other US state lines to know the difference. I've even taught classes at a number of gyms around the DMV area to know the inner workings and operations as well, and I must say that this gym seems to be very efficient. Yes, there's no pool, there's no smoothie bar, and there might not be an onsite spa/massage center included..... but that's not what you come here for. You come here for a good workout at a gym that is spacious, has adequate equipment, and even fitness classes to break up the monotony between your workout routines. That's more than enough to better your health and meet your goals. In all, you can't go wrong with a membership at this gym. A few months after becoming a member, I tried spinning classes, which were fun and challenging. I…read moresoon noticed the seats, set parallel to the floor, didn't fit my anatomy. I was sliding forward uncomfortably. I brought a wrench, raised the front of (just)one seat a notch, and then it didn't feel as if I were struggling to stay on. I chose the narrowest, least padded style, similar to a racing bike saddle. The owner told me I was the only one who preferred that kind. There used to be a 'needs fixing' sheet for members to list equipment problems. Some had written complaints that the bike seats were 'tipped.' So, the staff flattened all the seats. I went to Lee, the manager, and asked politely if I could have one seat (just one seat!) adjusted to my comfort. I was met with an expression of surprise and mild annoyance. Denied. The classes were never full so nobody would've been forced to use a 'tipped' seat. But even if all the bikes in the spinning studio had been taken, there were four more in other parts of the gym, which I never saw in use simultaneously. One seat on any of those could've been adjusted without forcing anyone to use a 'tipped' seat. And of course, the seat posts are interchangeable. So, on it went: I'd adjust a single saddle, a staff member would flatten it, and the charade would begin anew. I politely raised the issue with Ruby, the owner; she said she'd put a note on a saddle to not flatten it. A week later she reneged, implying Lee wouldn't allow it. The reasoning: If one was changed, then all could be changed and Lee wasn't willing to deal with that. Denied again. BUT, he accommodated all those who complained about 'tipped' seats. That's not fair. He could've easily worked with me and gotten to 'yes.' The seats are adjustable for a reason. The entire business is BASED on human anatomy, including its--ahem--variations. I was 'nudged' by the former manager shortly after starting my membership. Under my original 4-star rating on this page, she added a note asking me what it would take to add a fifth star. Consistent, prolonged and respectful treatment as a valued member, I would've told her. But, my reasonable requests were repeatedly ignored. A couple of the staff(K and K) seemed to view me as demanding, difficult, and treated me with veiled hostility. And then there's this: The two managers, Lee & Jen, plus Lee's wife, wrote 5-star reviews on this page. These are conflict of interest violations per Google usage rules. This two-story location has a wide variety of cardio equipment, a moderately sized weights area, and a few stretching areas. There two tiers of membership $10 per month vs $24 per month. The latter tier gives you access to other gyms in the location, tanning beds, massage chairs, and discounts for selected products. From my understanding, the yearly membership dues are around 40 bucks, and you can quit at any time. For the most part, the gym is clean; however, you may find some dust bunnies in some of the stretching areas. That said, I didn't see anything that would gross me out. I will say that about 95% of the members do a great job with wiping down the machines after using them. Also, the location does provide plenty of paper towels and sanitizing solution through the gym. Unfortunately, I wish the weight area was a bit larger, but I guess there is not much I (or the gym) can do about the size at this point. I was a bit disappointed that the gym has only Smith machines for bench presses. However, the representative pointed this out to me when she gave me a tour of the facility before I purchased my membership. I will say that this location does have PLENTY of cardio machines. Pretty much the entire lower level is full of cardio machines. Although I've only visited a couple of times, I did not see any machines or equipment that was out of order. Overall, I think this location is good for getting back into a (mostly independent) fitness routine. Before signing up, I highly recommend doing a tour just to make sure the gym has all of the things you want. Customer service-wise, I thought the representative who gave me a tour was very informative.

In most cases location management states they can't fix any facilities issues (including when they don't have enough, or the right kind, or working equipment). And when I tell them that corporate told me to address it with them they say they are limited by corporate or the franchise owner. [See my review of Gallery Pl., Chinatown location ~"we are stuck with the same machines for about 10 years or until they break, even if we ordered too many and two few" --------- This location used to be the best for for the first couple years it was open. my only complaint during the first few years of operation was frequent temperature/ HVAC outages and fluctuations. The spa area would be uncomfortablly cold most of the time while the locker room was disgustingly hot and humid. The AC would be out or barely working for long periods of time in certain sections. I know there isnt much PF could do about it, sadly they are limited due to the building which they don't own. The best part about this location is the plentitude of machines and the very large space for PF 360/ stretching and aerobic activity upstairs. After three years the cleanliness of this location really started to suffer , as well as the insanely frequent breaking of urinals in the mens locker room. The exercise areas were maintained well enough but the locker rooms and especially the showers and toilet stalls were usually really gross and neglected looking. The is something I almost never see at most locations except PG Plaza. Also in the first few years this location used to have really energetic and outgoing staff, that was so great that we would have regular conversations. But it's really gone downhill since then. These people are predatory sheisters who don't give a damn if you injure yourself and will keep billing your credit card long after your membership is cancelled. Below is a breakdown. 1) Poor injury prevention. Warm-ups are purely cursory and there is limited to no supervision during workouts, leading to frequent preventable injuries. I personally was injured twice in one year. 2) Predatory business practices. When I requested a temporary membership freeze because I was injured, I was forced to sign a draconian new contract that required me to continue paying some dues during the freeze and extended the notice window for canceling my original contract, meaning that I would have to continue paying dues even if never recovered from my injuries. 3) Ongoing credit card charges. In the eight months since I've cancelled my membership, they have continued to charge my credit card for monthly dues. My repeated emails about the problem have gone unanswered and the problem persists, even though I cancelled by membership in late 2025. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. UPDATE 6/25/26: THE STUDIO CONTINUES TO FRAUDULENTLY BILL MY CREDIT CARD AND IS NOW THREATENING TO SEND MY ACCOUNT TO COLLECTIONS. FOR BLOCKING CHARGES, ALTHOUGH I CANCELED MY MEMBERSHIP MONTHS AGO AND HAVE SENT COUNTLESS EMAILS DEMANDING THAT THEY STOP BILLING ME. I initally cancled my membership back in march due to a sentive vulnerable medical reason which i explained to the staff. The staff somehow cohersed me into freezing my membership rather than canceling it. When they gave me this option, I was very hesitant because I just didn't know if freezing would make the most sense being that I don't know what the future of my health would be, but they convinced me to freeze my account, leaving out the fact that that means I would be committing to a new month once I came back and finished the month that I had frozen. I will admit that I did not fully understand the freeze process and I missed a lot of information regarding so, there was a lot of miscommunication on both parts and when I tried to get it resolved with the management team it was a horrible conversation. As soon as I got on the phone, the "manager" had a very condescending tone and when I tried to explain why I was upset and confused she kept cutting me off and talking over me. And when I met her with the same energy, she tried to spin it like I was the problematic one. she was not listening to understand, but rather continued on with the conversation to state "facts" and read from her false notes. She gaslighted me the entire time, kept saying "you keep talking over me" as if she wasn't doing the same exact thing, invalidated my experience and feelings just to prove a "point" Breanna or Brenna whatever your name is, if you are reading this, I want you to know that you lack conflict resolution skills, you lie a lot and manipulate your words to prove your point, which tells me that you lack integrity and communication skills. I left the conversation in tears, and later had a horrible panic attack because of how traumatizing that conversation was. She almost even conned me into keeping my membership with them and "waving the fee" something that was never offered to me before . I almost fell for it, but after my panic attack, I reflected on the conversation and realized that I do not want to patronize a business that has that type of management team. It lets me know that if there is an issue, it will be poorly handled because of the type of person the manager is. if you have any sort of auto immune disease that is induced by stress like myself, then I definitely do not recommend this studio because they will send you straight into a flare just like they did with me. I lost out on $200 but I would rather let that money go to waste than to be affiliated with a management team that treats and talk to their members like trash. The management team is more concerned with making their quota than actually doing what's best for their members.

I just got a little Silver down my spine, thinking about how much I didn't like this YMCA…read more This little YMCA was not so friendly on the way in - having to prove that I actually was a member, which took more than 5 mins - and once I was inside I was all pretty boxed in. A forgettable Y, old and run down and needs a major facelift. Definitely one of the less enjoyable YMCAs I've used and despite how old and run-down it is, it's also busy so you will have to wait for certain things on certain days at certain times more than you would in the average YMCA location. And some of the other members are not so friendly. A good parking lot though, and nobody bothers you in it if you're hanging out in it for awhile.
