This might be a great store but I never really got a chance to shop the merchandise. I walked in and was immediately accosted by the saleswoman (I was wearing an expensive brand of athletic sandals which she spotted before I got both feet through the door) - she stalked me through the whole store telling me the discount and holding every pair of shoes in my size up to my face saying she had "better prices than Amazon." When I tried to browse she continued to badger me. Her high pressure tactics ruined the experience for me, and, newsflash, I wasn't looking for bargains I was looking for great shoes. When I started to leave she made rude comments under her breath about people who waste her time. I'll never go back. read more

I love shopping at Sole Comfort!!! They have an amazing selection of shoes and fashionable boutique clothes. The customer service exceeds expectations! I have recommended Sole Comfort to all my friends. If they don't have my size in store they will call the other locations to find what I'm looking for. They even transfer the items to the store that's closest to my house. The staff is very knowledgable and friendly. There is always something new to try on. I will definitely continue to shop there! Stopped in here just to look after doing some retail therapy at Ivy Hill located a few doors away in this retail strip. The store manager, Christina, was very helpful in pointing out shoes on sale, as my visit happened to coincide with a % off all open-toed-shoes promotion that the store was running. I ended up walking out with three pairs of sandals, including one pair of super comfortable NAOT slip-ons that looked classy and were far cheaper than any of the prices I've seen on Amazon or at other comparable comfort shoe stores. With the warm weather this fall, I still have these pairs in rotation and it now appears that I am all set for next spring! This location also sells clothing and bags. I ended up with a Desigual dress on a markdown that I've already worn a couple of times since buying it, and a leather jacket with zip-off jersey sleeves. The personalized service made the experience and it is gratifying to know that my purchases helped to support a local small business enterprise. read more

Stopped in to buy some Naot shoes and loved the selection. Great selection on crazy larry pants and cut loose. Will be back the sales staff were super friendly and knowledgeable . Parking is a bear but love the atmosphere here at sole comfort. Will be back next time i'm in town !!! read more

I appreciate small locally owned businesses and know they struggle from time to time to compete with big chains. I think the biggest challenge of most companies is finding quality employees and that is certainly the case at Sole Comfort. I have never left a business so shocked and infuriated. My husband and I were browsing in this store one Sunday morning while waiting on a table at Original Pancake House. Much to my surprise the sales lady very loudly stated (this woman would never need a microphone in any circumstance) that she did not like people who were patrons of Pancake House to come into the store. No offense, but if not for Pancake House they might never get ANY foot traffic. I was about to purchase a Michael Starrs shirt but after listening to the rude, obnoxious musings of this 40-something sales clerk I walked out aghast. I would venture to say that 100% of the people in the store at that point were waiting on tables at the Pancake House and that if this chic works on commission she should thank her lucky stars for the foot traffic that the Pancake House draws in. Her lack of tact and class sure as hell isn't going to sell the merchandise! They had a lot of those comfortable chunky looking shoes you can buy at The Walking Company, which is where I will go next time I am I the market for this type of shoe because the employees there seem to like it when customer walk in their door, regardless of what drew them there! read more

Made a purchase, it didn't fit. Brought it back before leaving town (tags on unworn) and was told I could only get store credit. Well I don't live here and they didn't have anything else. I understand the policy but the salesperson who sold it said over and over "bring it back if you don't like it or it doesn't fit you have 7 days for a refund". This is why I buy online. read more

I just relocated from Chicago to St. Louis and was sooo happy when I found "Sole Comfort" minutes from my new home!! Not only do they have all the shoe brands I love they have many more high quality brands you won't find in the mall!! In addition, they have a great selection of really interesting clothing for all ages. I'm 61 and I'm thrilled to find a boutique with clothing and shoes that are both comfy and stylish without having to shop in the mall or online which we all know can be exhausting!! But the BEST part of "Sole Comfort" is the store manager Christine!! She makes it fun to shop there and is very knowledgable and helpful with coordinating shoes with clothing. Love working with Christine!!! I've read the few negative reviews and found quite the opposite experience. I love shopping in a store like "Sole Comfort" where you'll find great quality and styles and helpful staff without the pressure to buy. Shopping at "Sole Comfort" is a no brainer for me....I look forward to my next visit to see all the new shoe and clothing styles you won't find at the mall!! Very seldom did I find this combination in Chicago. Oh and by the way, I bought a pair of great suede boots that the store is weather proofing NO CHARGE for me!!! I purchased two items from this store. The sales associate was very aggressive. As I was checking out, my friend & I looked at a necklace in the case at the register that was overpriced. I just noticed a charge on my credit card for the necklace which I did not purchase ($410). My friend called the manager since she was billed incorrectly on a past purchase. The owner was verbally abusive & hung up on my friend . The salesperson that stole from me no longer works there. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau & my bank to resolve issue. The business should be shut down. I will contact a lawyer if the bank doesn't resolve issue. read more
