From the moment I walked in, the space felt welcoming and comfortable. The studio is absolutely adorable -- modern, charming, and just a really good vibe overall. I was greeted right away by the owner and my stylist, which instantly put me at ease. I'm very picky about who touches my hair and don't trust just anyone, so this was a big step for me. Coley is now officially my go-to stylist. She took the time to listen to all my concerns, walked me through everything she was doing, and made me feel completely comfortable the entire time. I trusted her to cut over 8 inches off my hair -- which says a lot -- and she gave me the most beautiful, soft layers exactly how I like them. My hair has never felt better. On top of that, she is incredibly sweet and welcoming. You can tell she genuinely cares, and that made all the difference for me. Booking was easy, the location is great with plenty of parking, and pricing is very reasonable. The owner, Victoria, is also so kind and makes the whole experience feel even more personal. It looked old and somewhat scary; the air was thick and dense with the smell of heavy Clorox weighing you down. I paid ahead of time, and I presumed it was because people were stealing massages, and I was committed to the UNEXPECTED $2 surcharge before even getting my massage. I noticed the fine print that leaving a tip on my card would cost $3. However, since I was committed after paying (even if my massage was horrible, I don't think they would have refunded me if I left 5 minutes after paying), the massage itself was barely "O-K." I felt she was angry for having to give the massage and was taking it out on me by just rubbing me down like a roast, so she didn't work on my discomforts. It was really mediocre, to say the least. As per the definition, "A service tip is a voluntary payment given by a customer to a service worker as a reward for good service." I didn't have any cash and didn't want to pay $3 surcharge for a bad massage. The guy behind the counter stated he would add it to the charge he previously made, so I answered, "Ok, $10 is fine" (whereas $3-5 is what I really wanted to offer), but he insisted on me giving more. With a strange grin, he suggested a $15 payment for her birthday, handing me the receipt I had already paid. I answered, "No thank you... I really don't want to leave anything because it wasn't all that great. Since I was charged $2 more, $10 is acceptable, and this is my first and last visit. I urged him to conduct himself professionally and pay back the illegal overcharge, but he said, "I'm not giving you shit." He is aware of my update, but consumers will be charged in advance if they decide to visit this place; however, he stated he would have reimbursed me in full if I had left before using the entire amount of service time I paid for. Given his unprofessional conduct during our phone conversation, I seriously doubt that he would have reimbursed me. I left this same review on Google... in case he goes out of his way to change it.

My very first appointment with Jessica was for a perm. I'm not gonna lie; I was nervous getting a perm in a small town, but she came highly recommended by none other than my insanely picky mother. Well, I was blown away! Best perm ever! It was still serving me well after a year! At that point in time I had her cut my waist long locks into a pixie cut. Again I was nervous. That's one heck of a huge job. I have a lot of hair! I wouldn't know where the heck to start and I grew up in the industry. Of course she mastered what I wanted. I get so many compliments on my hairstyle/haircut. The head honcho at a high end salon behind where I work in Mesa is always raving about what a fantastic job she does on my hair. That's impressive! Yes, I drive from northeast Mesa to Casa Grande to get my hair cut. What can I say? She's totally worth it! Then there's Diane. She's the Master nail tech of all nail techs. I've never had my nails done, but my mother has been with her for years (again, my insanely picky mother). I've seen that woman's mad skills. Absolutely stunning!
