At a time when inflation is at an all-time high, we're still doing our best to support stores that sell American made products and local businesses, or at least products not made in China. Bought a pack of three pairs of socks at the store a few weeks ago for $20, assuming at that price they would be made in the USA, or at least not China. Got home and opened the package only to see that they were, in fact, made in China. Will not make that mistake again. Saw a pair of boots in the window today and went in to check them out, only to see a stamp saying Made in China. I asked the girl working there if they had any that were made in the USA, or at least not China, and she said that none of their shoes were made in China. (Seriously?) I showed her the stamp that literally said "Made in China". She still tried to tell me that maybe it was because parts of the boots came from there, but that they weren't actually made there. Are you kidding me? You're lying to customers to try to sell your products? If you're a small business encouraging customers to shop small and shop local, you may want to be sure you also sell local, or at least sell products that are made in the US, or at least not lie to customers about where they are made. This will be my last time shopping here. read more

Great shoe store in Paso Robles, right across from the park. I have stopped in a couple of times before but on a recent long Saturday morning drive from Fresno, I happened upon the Olive Oil Festival, wanted to get out of the heat, and shopping seemed like just the thing! Plus I was on the lookout for some Cork Ease platform sandals I had seen at Nordstrom that had sold out, and they had them, in my size, at the same price. They have lots of Cork Ease, Seychelles, Mizz Mooz, and other cute, trendy-but well-made shoes. I really liked the comfortable seating, awesome furniture that's used for creative displays and also for sale, originating from places like Bali and Indonesia, little accessories, including some fun items at the cash register they give discounts on if you're buying a pair and....last but not least...... The zebra finches!! They are close to the front of the store next to a pair of arm less chairs, creating the most adorable vignette. Personally I love a good pair of song birds. Excellent experience shoe shopping at this establishment. We were on a road trip, and we decided to make this a stopover after searching for shopping opportunities in Paso Robles. Why not? I often have a hard time finding shoes that are comfortable and of good quality. Reviews were great on Yelp, and photos looked promising. Eureka! I bought a pair of handmade shoes worth every penny, and I'll post a photo of my purchase soon. (We're back on the road at the moment.) Friendly, young, helpful saleslady, too. Just spoke with the manager about making an instore exchange of a Christmas gift. After a short, rather unreasonable, conversation... she hung up on me. I understand having store policies.... but, customer service is an important aspect of your business and the lack of willingness to make a reasonable exception surprised and disappointed me. Not to mention hanging up on me. I will no longer support this store with my business and my family won't shop here on our girls weekends in the fall. Too bad. Living in San Francisco requires a lot of walking...walking to BART, MUNI, or back to my car that was most likely parked blocks away from my destination. My hoofing it around the city put me on a quest for comfortable and stylish shoes. I remember when I began my search I had visions of Birkenstocks and clogs (nightmares really) but I discovered brands like Miz Mooz, Kork Ease, and my absolute favorite: GENTLE SOULS. Since my family lives on the central coast, I frequently stop in Paso Robles to check out the cute little shops. You can only imagine my excitement when I discovered Sole Tree! It carried all of the shoes I adore - some that I wasn't familiar with - and during my visit they were having a sale. Woo hoo! I encourage anyone who lives in the area (or who will be passing through) to check out this boutique because you won't be disappointed. The sales associates are wonderful ladies and extremely helpful! Sole Tree is one of my favorite places to shop when I'm visiting my family. I live in Paso and was getting my hair done when I noticed the Sole Tree had the cutest pair of flats posted on their Website that would go perfectly with my denim dress to wear to the wine fest happening later that day. Haven't been to Paso Robles in a long time and what a pleasant surprise when I went downtown. Went thru a lot of the shops but Sole Tree was was really special. Decor very original with a creative display of an amazing selection of unique and comfy shoes for all occassions. Water and coffee to enjoy during my browsing, the nice frangrance of a candle persuaded me to take one home along with a pair of shoes and a adorable travel bag. Gorgeous and unique purses, accessories and some clothing. Staff very helpful and mentioned that owner travels all over the world to find her inventory. Staff can explain the special features of the shoes construction and materials. Seems like I've used "unique" several times...... Would definately check out what's new during my next visit! read more

I have to be honest, I didn't think an upscale shoe store had a place in Paso Robles. Sorry, we don't really have anyone to impress, and we drive pick-up trucks and wear flip flops. Well, I bought two pairs of shoes here in the past week. They are having a sale, but I would still pay full price and probably will once the fall and winter stuff comes in. Their selection is the kind of stuff you would normally go to Nordstrom's to get. Even if it's a few bucks more than "buying online" (it's not, though I looked. I could only find last year's styles for cheaper than the store), it is nice to not just be a number. Seriously, you can't find well made, genuine leather, stylish shoes at Payless and Walmart. I see both pairs I have bought as an investment. The red flats will stand up to the hilly terrain of Cal Poly and the summer sandals will be good for a couple years because it's a practical style. My husband's Ecco's cost almost $300 a pair, so $100 bucks isn't that steep. You get what you pay for and I am so glad Sole Tree is here. Buy local! read more

OMG We finally have a shoe store in paso!!! I've never seen this many pretty shoes in my life! Every shoe is made so well that i could tell in the time i was there trying each one they had in my size. Plus amazing service from the girls. I met the owner Piper, she is such an amazing women with lots of life. she is so sweet and is more than willing to help you with any questions about her products as well as her employees. Her store is well decorated not only do they have shoes but jewelry, handbags, lotions, candles that kind of thing. i thought it was great for gifts. so i ended up with a candle, a couple pairs of shoes and a lotion over all, I was really impressed by this place i think everyone should check it out! read more
