Before yesterday this would've been a five star review. I've been coming to the store for years to get high-end lingerie for events or just a good bra for every day use. Yesterday I took my sister and raved to her about the staff and how caring everyone was. When we went in the salesgirl was not kind and not very helpful. I called the manager today and she told me that the employee has been disciplined. She didn't ask my name so she could follow up. But she was very gracious. Buying lingerie is as hard as buying a bathing suit (which they also sell). But when shopping, you want a smart and thoughtful person to fit you. We didn't get that. My sister bought the bra (to the tune of $106). She told me that she would never go there again. I don't blame her. We also found some department store (lower end) spanx that worked for her under layer. I guess my point is, this is a really nice store but could be managed better. read more

Buyer DEFINITELY BEWARE. I'm confused by any good review for this store. I am going to assume they are planted reviews. The facts are simple, so decide for yourself if you want to shop here. I went in, bought a few bras, but when I got home realized they felt very cheap and flimsy. Mind you, these bras were $72 EACH. Yep. So I decided to check the reviews for these bras on Amazon and not only were they awful, but the SAME BRA was $18!!! I went back to try to return the bras...unused, tags still on, within 3 days, etc, and they said they only offered store credit. I was livid. Just simply livid. The saleswoman never bothered to mention this to me as she was greedily ringing up my sale. I'm pretty sure that every other store I shop in gives me a warning if something is not returnable. Lululemon did this the other day when I bought something that was on clearance. They said, "Just so you know, you cannot return this. Are you sure you want to buy?" You know, normal customer service, unlike this shady store. This place is such a ripoff that I can't believe anyone ever in their right mind shops here. I have been coming to this Boutique since 2006 and I had always had a great experience! They have beautiful swimwear and lingerie. I haven't been there for a few years because my life style has change,but it was nice to come back and see that they are still in business "with all the business closing in Westport " Every body was nice and very helpful,my sales person was very professional and very honest with a lot of experience since I asked her how long has she been there and she responded almost 13 years. Have not been there in over a year as my favorite sales person left . They definitely used to have the goods ; Wolford ,la perla etc I find it Very Hard to buy a bathing suit or lingerie in a shop that does NOT have a full length mirror in the fitting room. If you want to see a back view of yourself you have to exit the fitting room and trust the salespeople to tell you how You look . At best they wheel an extra mirror over to you Outside the dressing room The merchandise is too pricey to leave the decision making in the hands of a commission sales person . Great place, gorgeous selection, nasty staff. Was in the other day and was enjoying the incredible selection. I hear the employees one more loudly than the others, gossiping about someone in the store - a customer. I asked a salesperson why such people would be allowed to work here criticizing customers - she said thats Stacy, the owner!! I just said thank you and walked out. Women have enough shame issues and don't need to go into a lingerie store to hear the owner of the store criticizing others or be criticized themselves. How unprofessional and undignified. High end lingerie and swimwear. Went in last week to get a swimsuit for vacation. I was greeted warmly and described what I was looking for. The salesperson showed me a beautiful suit. I asked the price...$325. I told her I'd like to see suits under $200. She pointed to the sale section and disappeared. I tried on 5 suits with no assistance. I didn't like any and left. read more

If you have a fuller bust and have issues finding bras that fit well, you will not find a bra boutique better than Soleil Toile! The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and well trained on each style they carry. I have been coming here for years and finding this place has been a game changer!! After a bad customer service experience 6 months ago I tried to give them another chance. Unfortunately the experience was no better. In this case two strikes there out and I will take my business elsewhere. Disappointing as I've been going here over 15 years. Service isn't what it was not too long ago. I miss Lenore. 2nd Time Was A Charm! So this is 2 whole years later, and an absolutely different experience. I went in thinking that everyone deserves a second chance, and I am so glad I did. Sally, the person who helped me was so helpful, nice, and tons of fun. She understood my style right away and brought a few additional things when I was getting dressed, almost all of which were a hit. I bought quite a few things. I went back 2 days later to return something, wondering if once I was there to return rather than spend, the attitude would come back. Nope, there were 2 women helping me this time, and they were both just as nice, smiling, helpful. I ended up exchanging and even purchasing a bit more. I asked if they had changed management since the last time I was there, and the answer was no. I told the very nice salespersons about my previous experience, and they were horrified. I should have written this review when the experience a few years ago occurred but after reading others having had the same experience, I decided better late than never. I have a hard time finding bras that are the correct size and supportive. Once I went in browsing with a friend for bathing suits and not one employee acknowledged us upon entry, during our browse, or when leaving. Minus 1 point. (I brought my friend to another specialty shop where I also receive bad service every time but that is another review. My friend bought quite a bit from this other place.) Decided to return to Soleil Toile to search for a super supportive bra in my size. They had nothing in my size and had to order items for me to try. Again I was not acknowledged when I came in but approached the desk to just nip it in the bud. I received the call that the items were in for me to try. I went in and of course was snubbed and approached the counter again explaining some items were ordered for me to try. I know my size and the sales person was trying to convince me the mal fitting item was the one for me. I tried the other size and said this feel a bit better but I wasn't sure. I just wanted to get out of there so fast I purchased something I wasn't in love with and wanted to try again at home in peace where my appearance wouldn't be judged. Almost as if the salesperson wanted me out of the store as fast as possible as well. Minus 2 points for bad customer service and making me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. I took the bra home and retried it. I kept the tags on because I was still unsure and just wore it around the house for a bit to test it out. The item was really uncomfortable and made my neck and back hurt. Obviously this was the wrong size. I took it off and put it back in the bag to return. I tried to return the item, with my receipt and with the tags on, and explained that it was the wrong size. I also hated the color, it really was something I would never have worn. The sales person originally told me that it didn't come in any other colors, but online I see the same item in a variety of colors. I was told that I could NOT return the item. Minus 3 points. 3 strikes, YOU'RE OUT!!! I questioned why she didn't really have a reason. Something about well you have had it for over a week, blah blah blah. So then I was told an extender would be sent to me. How is that going to change the fact that the cups on the bra were too small? I was very upset and snubbed again. The woman at the desk was like "sorry that is just our policy". What policy? I tried to return something a week later with the tags on and I can't??? So now I'm stuck with a very expensive (over $100) item I will never wear because it is so uncomfortable. Horrible customer service. Horrible return "policies". Why not offer me a store credit or something? Sorry I don't fit the stereotype of whatever their idealism is. I do NOT recommend wasting your time, energy, or money in this establishment. Knowing my true size is the whole issue. I know my size but the salesperson who helped me didn't ask if that was a UK or US size. The item she was selling to me was a EU size, and I only know this from conversion charts I have found from super helpful websites that offer free shipping and returns because, believe it or not, these online stores actually want their customers to be happy and to be return customers. I had a pretty woman moment. I went into Soleil Toile to be fitted for a new bra as I recently had breast augmentation. As the sales woman was bringing me different bra's to try, I noticed that the price on one of them was $200. I said "is this the price?" (meaning sometimes it says a number on the ticket but there is a discount taken or something). She said "whatever the ticket says"...I said wow that is expensive...I guess I am not your "typical westport client", and she said "Well you are in a Westport boutique". After that comment, she stopped bringing me items to try and was basically done with me. I did purchase one item (a mere $100 for this one) against my better judgement. SO RUDE...I spent 15K on the breast augmentation...I didn't say I couldn't afford it, just made a statement. I left, went next door to South Moon under where the staff was so nice and friendly and I spent my money there (around $600 on bathing suits) which is what I also intended to purchase at Soleil Toile. Last I checked, the woman helping me was folding underwear at the counter...she shouldn't judge me or anyone else that walks into that store. I would NEVER shop there again...I would rather spend double then to ever give them my business. read more

I have to say that I have a great experience when I went in to this store. Given this other review i was weary but I had a wonderful experience. All of the staff was polite and helpful. Being a 36G cup size I was worried I wouldn't find many options, but they had so many bra options that I had to pick which ones I liked best. a very new experience for me as most stores don't even carry my size. I will never buy lingerie any where else. They carry all bra sizes, petite to plus size so i am recommending this store to everyone I know. I walked out of there wearing one of the bras i purchased and couldn't wait to throw my old ones away. And I felt and looked 10 lbs lighter in the right bra! I couldn't believe it! I even brought my mom in a few weeks later and she loves it too! I don't know what happened with the other review, but I can tell you the staff was very kind and very helpful. read more
