I came in looking for an off-the-rack dress for a city hall ceremony followed by photos in Central Park. This was clearly outlined in my intake form and repeated multiple times during the appointment. Instead of being met with guidance, Aracely opened the appointment by telling me I had "done this the wrong way" by not shopping earlier and immediately set the tone that I would have little to no options. That is not helpful, and frankly not an appropriate way to speak to a bride at the start of what should be an exciting experience. What made it worse was that she didn't listen. Despite explaining my plans several times, she continued suggesting things that were completely irrelevant to my situation like bustles, dance floors, and reception entrances. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. I simply wanted to understand what was actually available off the rack so I could make a decision within those constraints, and that information was never clearly provided. The most unprofessional moment was overhearing Aracely call me "difficult" to my own mother while I was in the dressing room. My mother was understandably livid and had to step in to correct her, explaining that I am easygoing and just needed someone to actually help me navigate my options. Being spoken about that way, especially within earshot and to my mother of all people, was completely inappropriate. I made the trip from NYC specifically for this location because of its larger selection, and instead of leaving excited, I left upset and discouraged. This appointment completely changed the tone of my day. The dresses themselves were beautiful, but the experience was dismissive, unhelpful, and rude. Bridal appointments should feel supportive and collaborative. This was the opposite.

Yesterday I took my sister and raved to her about the staff and how caring everyone was. When we went in the salesgirl was not kind and not very helpful. I called the manager today and she told me that the employee has been disciplined. She didn't ask my name so she could follow up. But she was very gracious. Buying lingerie is as hard as buying a bathing suit (which they also sell). But when shopping, you want a smart and thoughtful person to fit you. We didn't get that. My sister bought the bra (to the tune of $106). She told me that she would never go there again. I don't blame her. We also found some department store (lower end) spanx that worked for her under layer. I guess my point is, this is a really nice store but could be managed better.
