I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience with Dr. Soleimani. From the very beginning, he was completely insensitive to my concerns and needs. Every visit felt more like a scolding than a consultation. I would walk in hoping for help and walk out feeling belittled and unheard. Instead of listening to my symptoms or working collaboratively to find a solution, he seemed more interested in lecturing me and making me feel like I was a burden. His tone was consistently rude, condescending, and dismissive. As a patient living with chronic pain, the last thing I need is to be treated like I'm exaggerating or wasting someone's time. There is absolutely no excuse for this kind of behavior from a healthcare professional. I left his care feeling worse than when I arrived--physically and emotionally years ago. I would not recommend him to anyone looking for a compassionate or respectful rheumatologist. So glad I found a new FEMALE Rheumatologist in Pasadena!!! read more

I've been going to Dr Soleimani for over 13 years for an autoimmune disease. He's a very wonderful and compassionate doctor. He's also very down to earth. He has returned calls when I've been in ER. I so appreciate Dr. Soleimani. He's been my rheumatologist for a few years. Unfortunately, I am switching plans soon and will have to find a new rheumatologist and I'm very sad because he is such a kind and caring doctor. He listens patiently and I've never felt pressured into treatment decisions. He takes time to explore my preferences for different options and I have been very happy to take a less aggressive approach (in my specific situation) than some previous doctors have wanted to do. He has suggested solutions other doctors never proposed and they worked for me. Sometimes I have trouble understanding what he's saying, especially with masks on, but I am always happy to see him. read more

This review is for rheumatologist Dr. Massoud Soleimani at Health Care Partners, 450 E Huntington Dr, Arcadia: Dr. Soleimani is, quite simply, the most horribly insensitive doctor I've ever encountered. At the initial appointment, he spent the majority of the time typing away at the computer, while staring at the screen. He barely listened to the answers for the questions he asked. There was a brief physical exam (clothed), when a lengthy exam (medical gown) is standard in this field. The finale? He drops a devastating diagnosis, as casually as you or I might say, "Take an umbrella; it's starting to drizzle." Disgraceful behavior. Fortunately, my PPO gives me the choice of any doctor I want to see - and I won't return to this office. I feel so sorry for any of his patients, who might be stuck with their lives in his hands. RE: Rheumatologist Dr. Massoud Soleimani MD @ Health Care Partners, 450 E Huntington Dr, Arcadia: In short, my mother was diagnosed with RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis) by her primary MD and has been living with LUPUS prior to seeing Dr. Massoud Soleimani. After waiting for months, on her first visit, my mother received a new diagnosis from Dr. Soleimani, just by feel/touch. What about the previous x-rays and lab results that resulted in RA, thus the referral to a RA specialist? Dr. Soleimani said that she has Fibromyalgia. On top of that, he wrote her a prescription for Naltrexone! This medication is given to alcohol/drug/opioid addicts to prevent them from relapsing. How is this a treatment for fibromyalgia? Furthermore, Dr. Soleimani told her that this medication would not be covered by any insurance company and referred her to a specific pharmacy to purchase the medication. To add icing on the cake, the prescribed med was written on a plain notepad and not an actual prescription note-pad. I'm a licensed nurse in California and know that my mother is not an addict nor does she have signs/symptoms of Fibromyalgia. Dr. Soleimani is clearly involved in some shady deal with his pharmacies. If you decide to see Dr. Soleimani, be sure to check all medications he prescribes and question the reason for it. My mother came in with diagnostic data that supports the diagnosis of RA, and according to Dr. Soleimani's eyes, she now has Fibromyalgia and apparently is also a drug addict!!! Needless to say, I will not be bringing my mother back to see this "specialist". read more

I have known doctor Soleimani for over 8 years now...he is an excellent doctor, who cares about his patients, and who is compassionate... He sees patients as an outpatient in Arcadia, and does hospital consults at Huntington hospital and Arcadia Methodist...very knowledgeable, and great person! read more

I had to write this after reading some of the other reviews. Over twenty years, I have watched this doctor work miracles with my mother in the area of rheumatoid arthritis. In those years the quality of my mother's life has not been restricted by this debilitating disease. Yes, this physician, like most I have, review computer files at the onset, and periodically during one's visit. X ray and blood work, and comments from other physicians are now automated and on-line. I do not feel a physician's access to this information is a distraction. In complex areas of practice, such as his, it is a necessity. He and his staff have are always been professional, yet caring. read more

I see Dr. Soleimani maybe 3 minutes a month. He's a fun guy that likes to joke around, but my favorite people in this office (Arcadia office on Huntington Dr.) are Teresa and Rosalie. These two women are probably the most hard working MA's I've known, besides my mother. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable, even when you're not the patient! I'm here every month when my mom gets her IV of RA medicine so I see one or the other. They don't get too personal or pry, it's just the right amount of small talk. read more

I have been seriously ill for 4 months, I have seen my primary doctor twice, I have been to Arcadia Methodist Emergency Room, and have seen a specialist at UCLA. I have seen every specialist you can possibly think of, and my last stop in this process, where I felt I had a tinge of hope finally. Every prior Doctor said they felt based on my symptoms, that the rheumatologist would definitely find out what has been going on in my body. Well.......... THIS WAS THE WORST DOCTOR I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED! He started off by walking in the room and just started typing at the computer. He then showed me the computer, and had me say if u had the symptoms that were listed on his computer. For the first time through this process, I felt happy because he asked specifically if my hands had turned blue, and they turned so blue while I was sleeping that my mother thought I might have to lose my hand. Out of every specialist I have seen, he was the first to ask the question about the color of my hands. My mother and I, looked at each other in awe because we thought we might have finally found the path to some answers. WELL TO MY DISMAY, he promptly disregarded all the symptoms we had just gone through, and pulled up a "Cosmo" type quiz on depression. This has nothing to do with rheumatology, as far as my case goes. He shows me the computer, and gives me a depression quiz, in which I answer a few questions, and he begins to count out loud addition of numbers. He asks me if I have been depressed before, and I said "well of course I am depressed right now, I am young, in extreme pain, and no one and no one can tell me what is wrong. My joints in my body are hurting so bad, that it wakes me up at night. So everything he mentions about my joints and the swelling points to his field. So I start to ask him questions and he finally finishes adding Up the points of the depression quiz and says you are severely depressed. I know I am not depressed, when I am my normal self. He mocked my weight, by asking if it was sure that it was fluid, and asked if I was over eating. He then picked up my chin and looked at my blemishes, insinuating I had acne. All of these things made me feel horrible about myself. I started to ask him questions, like well can this be arthritis? He says " No, you do not have arthritis," I ask him why and he says " I have been doing this for 15 years I can tell by just looking. He insulted my mother's intelligence, by saying, "Do you want me to say she has LUPUS, do you want me to say she has CANCER?" This was shocking. I started to cry because I said where do I go from here? He said, well I suggest you back to the doctors that referred you and ask them. He dismissed us, and that was the experience. He left me with no hope, with no light and the end of the tunnel, and he made me feel less than. He did not recommend anything. Last time I checked, I thought doctors were supposed to help. I guess not this doctor. I never write reviews, but I want to stop anyone from wasting their time on someone, who makes you feel like you're wasting theirs. read more

He always lends a sensitive and sympathetic ear. My life is literally in the hand of Dr. Soleimani and my nephrologist. He has worked hard to bring me into remission. I have been a patient of Dr. Soleimani for almost 10 years. He is a wonderful physician. I have worked in the medical field for 34 years assisting physicians in the operating rooms of three major hospitals. I have been in contact with many doctors and I can tell you that I have NEVER had a doctor as caring as Dr Soleimani. Him and his medical assistant Theresa are WONDERFUL. They spend a lot of time with patients and are extremely thorough and friendly to all. He has helped me so much with my arthritis. I am truly grateful to have him as my physician. I saw this "doctor" a few times several years ago for rheumatoid and recently. When I saw him 10 years ago the tests ran positive for rheumatoid and he treated me like a patient, but threatened that I would be in a wheelchair by the summer if I didn't take the medicine everyday for the rest of my life and guaranteed I would definitely need to take it for the rest of my life. I took the medicine at first and went back for more blood tests every few months to see how my rheumatoid was but it wasn't getting better. He pretends to care for patients so he can sell them drugs so he didn't give me any useful advice (like about what foods to avoid or the best foods to reduce inflammation and lots of stuff that is actually important for rheumatoid/gluten-free, preferably dairy free, no raw fish, and preferably meat free, basically vegan diet and starch base (like white rice and sweet potatos) your symptoms usually dissapear after a few weeks with the proper diet for you ), but he just pushed the drugs more and more and said that rheumatoid is not curable..(so much bs) I stopped seeing him and changed my diet, lifestyle, thinking process, and went back after not having rheumatoid symptoms, and took a bloodtest for rheumatoid recently. I didn't have any type of autoimmune disease (ha!) and he told me "you never had rheumatoid, you probably just had Fibromyalgia, but now maybe you have chronic fatigue syndrome and I feel sorry for you, now take this depression test" and denied our whole patient -doctor history from several years ago. I can understand why the good reviews are there and the bad ones too, if you have rheumatoid he will (pretend to) be nice to you, but he will be a complete dick if you have pain but rheumatoid or a common autoimmune disease doesn't show up in your bloodtest nor you have the symptoms he is used to dealing with. He even told me that my mom might die and I shouldn't be wasting my time seeing a doctor...which is one of the most offensive experiences of my life. He also uses bad language and swear words. (super unprofessional...needs to learn commonsense) I don't consider him to be a doctor..just a very bad person selling drugs and using people to make himself feel better (although he may have severe depression based on his mindset to relate things to depression..)..kinda like an evil drug-lord. A good doctor should listen to what you have to say and explain things scientifically and logically to you, if you ask a question about arthritis he should explain that since he's a rheumatologist..you go there for advice and to learn more.....not give you a survey on depression, I also got the same kind of survey that other reviewers have too. Anyhow, I would recommend you not see this guy and instead make your lifestyle healthier little by little and figure out what triggers a lot of your pains. The anxiety that this guy might give you may make your symptoms worse and not better..stress causes a lot of problems and we should try to avoid unnecessary stress. There are infinite ways to overcome rheumatoid and all diseases, just want to let you know that there are other options and you don't need to deal with this guy.... Good luck -Phen read more
