These type reviews are tough to write because if you're experiencing it, you likely have a friend or family member temporarily residing in a facility like this. I was surprised I was so impressed with the center. My uncle is currently residing here and though his condition is not good, I feel confident he is getting great care. The staff are all very friendly, the rooms are clean and it smelled nice through the entire interior. It is a one story facility with easy parking. There are several restaurant's conveniently located nearby. They have a couple of common area rooms with pretty decor (of of which has a piano), a small shop with boutique items, and a salon for hair cuts and a shave service for the men. Each room has a mini fridge, a single sink and a microwave. The bathrooms are spacious. All rooms, as far as I could tell, are private rooms. Some rooms even have a private exit to a terrace. The TV channels are limited. I think there's only a total of 10. The facility was quiet. I couldn't think of any reason to give less than 5 stars. Again, it's a tough situation and no one wants to be going through, but if this is where he has to be, I feel it's a great option. He is entering hospice, so it's all about keeping him calm and pain free right now. If anyone is going through this and looking for a place they can rely on to care for their loved one, I would recommend this place. Since he has been sick, we have put him in 2 places. The Concierge was the first one. We did not care for that facility at all. Prayers to anyone reading this, but I also hope it helps you make a decision. Side note: I visited on a weekend. Everyone who knows anything about facilities like this knows they don't have their "A Team" on weekends. Not sure why. The patient still need the same care no what day. If the staff was this great on a weekend, and a weekend is not the "A Team", then I suppose the weekday crew is even that much better. I hate to even make that comparison. Anyone who searches for a facility or has experienced loved ones in a facility, will know this.

We had all of the therapy approved in advance - in writing from the hospital - and they charged $2200 for speech therapy which the insurance would not cover. To add insult to injury, this $2200 bill was for two hours of supposed therapy - mostly a questionnaire assessment.

Her prognosis was grim at first, but she is exceeding their expectations and is now on to skilled nursing here at the rehab. I was told it is called TIRR, but nowhere on the building does it state this so don't let that confuse you. The facility is easy to find, parking is a breeze and navigating through the building is simple with everything marked so well. During my visit, I was pleased with the cleanliness, attentiveness, responsiveness and overall room layout. She is in a private room with a private bathroom. I'm not sure if all rooms are private. A schedule is given to the patient each night with what is expected/planned for the next day. The goal is for her (and all patients) to get better and stronger, so I like the planned therapy and for her to know what is expected of her to achieve the results needed. I've heard excellent feedback from other people about this place. Everything I have read and now seen/experienced is A+++. My friend even said the food was good. The Houston Metroplex is home to fantastic healthcare and I think this is another representation to that statement. Anyone going through tough situations like this, my blessings to you. Stay strong.

The social worker and the director of hospitality both are there only for the paycheck. They do not care about the patients at all! My husband had a terrible experience. I just wish I would have known what I know now. My husband was there only a few months ago and I DO NOT believe they have changed for the better as they reply that to eveyone that gives them a negative review! They meds were continued to be given incorrectly, they broke his glasses and would not replace, they lost his wrist brace that he was required to wear as he came in with a broken wrist. I could go on and on but these are some of the more serious actions that happened there. I never got updates on his rehab. He was home 6 hours and fell again and ended back in ER. I do not believe he was ready to be released! They want to admit patients, collect their money and move them on. The patients are not cared for at all Please please consider other places over this awful place!!! You will regret it if you put a loved one there.

With any facility, the staff support goes up and down, and we were fortunate to have caring staff at the time of our visit. We were impressed by the hands-on Physical Therapy in the gym room I did stay overnight the first night with my family member and found that staff were there to keep an eye on the residents Appreciate the care for my family member from all the staff. Being in the medical profession, we had a positive experience with short-term rehab here

Do not come to this hospital as a patient, and do not bring a loved one here either! I'm here now,…read moreand the level of care that I'm receiving is horrendous! I am a complicated case with multiple health issues and lots of chronic pain from different cancers. I was told before I was transferred here that my medications that I was receiving at my previous hospital would not be touched or changed essentially. As soon as I got here that was the first thing they did! They changed the one medication that helps me the most! Then, when they supposedly changed my medication back to IV I felt like I was not getting the correct dose. So I asked SEVERAL nurses if I was getting the right dose, and they all lied to me and said that I was! Come to find out a week later after several bouts of nausea, vomiting, and rashes I was told that I was only getting HALF the dose! And when I talked to the doctors here about it they would not change it back! The hospitalist (Dr. Moosavi) refused to listen to me much less let me even speak! I have never been treated so poorly in my life over a medication that I clearly need! It got to the point where I had to talk to the patient advocate here, and he set up a meeting for my husband and I to speak to the manager. She basically pretended like she cared but did NOTHING to change the situation. It was all for them to save face! And it gets worse. It literally just happened again today after I had a procedure! This time with my pain meds! The horrible palliative doctor here changed my medication to not only half my dose, but also for it to be administered intramuscularly instead of just through my IV, and the pain of receiving the medication that way was horrendous!!! Absolutely beyond painful!! Why would I want to take half of my dose of my pain med and it cause me pain like that?! I cried both times I tried the medication that way because it hurt so bad!! And on top of it all it did not affect my pain whatsoever! It just doesn't make any sense! And I had no warning for the change! This particular doctor I haven't even seen in over a week! So I don't even understand what prompted her to even touch my medication to begin with! I feel like it was done purposely because she doesn't like me! I see no other reason why. The palliative doctor (Dr.Gail Donley) was so rude and condescending to me when I first met her. I could literally feel how much she disliked me when she would speak to me. She wouldn't listen to me when I would tell her what worked for me medicine wise and when I told her that I was allergic to NSAIDS she literally asked me how do I know. I told her that it caused me bleeding. And she was like yeah but when was the last time, and was trying to push me into taking an NSAID when I clearly told her that I could not take it. It was absurd! And now come to find out that she's the doctor that changed my pain medication without coming to see me, or letting me know anything whatsoever. I just don't understand why I am being treated this way here. It's beyond scary to be here as a vulnerable patient. Some of the nurses are wonderful here don't get me wrong. There's always some good people mixed in with the bad. But the bad ones are actually the doctors here! I have never felt so unsafe and uncared for in my life at any other hospital facility EVER!! I'm truly scared to be here, and I'm in SO much pain! The only reason I'm even here is because I was transferred from another Methodist location that said that they can't keep patients long term, and I had already been there for 50 days. So they sent me here to the Methodist Continuing Care location in Katy. Please please please do NOT come to this place for yourself or anyone else that you care about! The care here is below subpar, and that's coming from the actual doctors here! They are already trying to discharge me without even fully helping me with my issues. They will be sending me home with more problems than I came in with, and I am terrified! Please go somewhere else!! Anywhere but here!! I should've read the reviews to this place before I got here because that would've told me everything I needed to know! If you've gotten this far thank you for taking the time to read this. And if you ever feel like you are being mistreated don't be afraid to speak up for yourself! You are your biggest and best advocate! I plan on not only writing many reviews about this place online, but also contacting the higher ups here and filing a grievance! They will not get away with treating me this poorly! And I would hate for anyone else to go through what I've been through so far here!! Take care and God bless!

Please search and research to find a caring facility other than 'Grace Care'. A good resource to start with is a free website called "A Place for Mom". Also FYI, a written complaint form is available at every nursing home to register a formal complaint. It has to be addressed by the facility by holding a meeting with you within 2 weeks of the complaint being registered. A discussion of the corrections they will make will be signed by you and the facility. You are to be given a copy for your records. You should bring someone with you such as a hospice nurse. You are entitled to have hospice services if your loved one is in declining health. You do not have to wait "until the end is near". Hospice is a great service. They are your extra eyes to make sure your family member is being properly cared for and it's covered by Medicare.
