For both heating and cooling they are prompt, courteous, and I've never seen cleaner work. Had this company come out in 2023 and replace an electrical outlet on the vack of my garage. Socket…read moreshorted out, shocked me when I went to uncover the box to see what was going on. Generally , the only time that happens is when there's a connection with the ground wire that is not properly installed or covered. So I turned off the power to the garage and started to remove the box. Water started coming out of the bottom of the box , which I realized at that time , they hadn't sealed the box properly. I couldn't find the receipt as to who did the work to call to come back and fix it.So I didn't want to touch any further and called a different electrical contractor. They came out and removed the box, which was severely rusted on the bottom.Actually, arc, on where the plug would go into the socket.And you couldn't even get one of the screws out because it was so badly rusted. I had to pay another almost five hundred dollars to have the box replaced again. That contractor told me, had it been done correctly.I wouldn't have had to change it for years.However, I also could have lost everything. My garage, everything in it.I have a swimming pool for what are caught my cars? My house and possibly even my life. I continued to search for the rreceopt nd finally found it. It was Royak oak , hitting and cooling , and cost me $429. So I contacted them. After several attempts speaking with rob and then the general manager Nick , I also sent them photographs and said I have the parts they said they would get back to me. Today Rob called to inform me that there's nothing they can do to help me that anything could've hit that box like a lawn mower, which is I'm because it's like 3 feet up off the ground.So I don't know how that would be possible or anything could have happened. I told him there was a garden in front of it , and he said if I were called down , they would have done the replacement for free , but there was nothing they could do about it now. Well, I don't know about anyone else, but would you want the company who almost burnt your property down to come back and redo it?? I had the house built in 1988 and a the furnace the builder installed needed to be replaced 10 years later. My daughter uses them as well now. They are responsive. Their service techs are also very polite, respectful, knowledgeable and professional. I recently tried to clean my drier duct and got the cleaning brush stuck in the duct and found it difficult to find someone who would remove the duct to clear it. So I called McQuade's and the next morning they had a tech remove the duct and clear it. They also cleaned it. I also found their prices to be reasonable.

Over the years, it has been difficult to find contractors that work on boilers, and it was during Covid that I got a recommendation for Koz heating when I asked who works on boilers. I would almost have to say that they specialize in boilers because the first time I had a repair the gentleman was so knowledgeable about everything going on with my boiler which was from the 1970s. This past Sunday I started having a leak in the basement so when I called the phone number they asked if I wanted an emergency call on Sunday or wanted to wait until Monday but I was concerned so he came out on Sunday and was able to tell right away that the boiler was shot. He said he would have to schedule it as soon as possible after he was able to order a boiler and he told me to plan on them working on it from eight in the morning until six at night. They showed up with three trucks and six guys the following Thursday and they were actually there from about 8:45 AM until 9:15 PM and it looks perfect and it works perfect. He spent 45 minutes installing it and when I asked him how less than an hours worth of work equates to $800 he snarked back "what - do you want me to take longer?" I again stated how expensive it was and that I didn't think it was a fair and he responded "welcome to the world of HVAC" and that "he doesn't charge by the hour". He later went on to state that there was a lot of work he had to do including picking up the part and filling out paperwork to get reimbursed for the motor. I'm sorry, but that's the cost of business. I was willing to accept the fact that he charged 50% higher rate for a diagnosis than my usual HVAC company because I needed help immediately, but he straight up lied about how "labor intensive" this project was. I do not recommend using this company. I wrote a review yesterday to which he defended himself by stating that he spent an hour on the phone with Carrier to order the part - that is a lie. He sat on my couch and called them from my house and my camera shows that he was here a total of one hour for diagnosis and 45 minutes for installation. He lied about being located in Royal Oak to me also - and Jason, before you claim you didn't say that, I have it on video also. This guy is as dishonest as they come.
