Pete and the other two movers did an outstanding job, I give them a 10+. They were very careful with my valuable furniture. They put in extra time with every step and put my large bedframe together carefully. They were very reliable and charged an excellent price and did not charge extra cost for all the additional work they did put in. A more solid move than even the name implies. Showed up on time with a team of 4, moved one 700 sq foot apartment to another 20 blocks away (both elevator buildings) in 4.5 hours total. Came with more than enough protective equipment for everything, about 10 dollys to make efficient use of the elevators, and even moved my bagged hanging clothes at no charge in their own wardrobe boxes when I said I was planning on doing that myself and hadn't included it in the estimate. On top of that, a small television cracked in the move (it was protected, these things happen when moving) and the company was more than accepting of putting in an insurance claim and offered a fair credit back to me. Handled this very common issue with decency, which is a huge relief when moving. Overall would absolutely recommend for an efficient, safe, and fast move. read more

BEST MOVERS EVER!!! I cannot speak highly enough of Solid Movers. The BEST movers I have used in NYC. And I'm not just saying that. This mover came ON TIME (which was an issue our last move with a different company). The guys were super friendly and fast AF!! They finished a move from a walk up to an elevator building in a little under an hour. They are seriously the best! I also like that vets are a pat of the Solid Movers crew. The truck was clean too: which definitely helps to ease the mind. My boyfriend and I will mos def use them again should we have to move again. Stop looking for movers and book these guys. These guys are machines. We moved on a Saturday that was down-pouring, but they were smart and took breaks during the heavier times and then had a sort of conveyor belt / hand-off system that moved pieces quickly during the just the sprinkling of rain. No water damage to anything. They were super courteous, nothing was damaged what-so-ever, and their price was the best across a few places we grabbed estimates from. They wrapped furniture & mirrors with blankets and tape to make sure there was no dings along the way. They were also nice enough to load up our plants at the end so there was less chance of them getting crushed. Highly recommend! read more

Solid Movers NYC is an incredible service. They were very communicative throughout the whole process. They even notified me about coming in an hour earlier than their expected time because they had more people and a bigger truck. We went with going an hour earlier and the movers were efficient, quick and careful with all our things. The movers had a professional attitude throughout it all even though we lived in a 5 floor walk up. With all of our things (we had a lot of stuff) it took less than 3 hours for the job to get done. Had the easiest NYC move I've ever had (out of 4!) thanks to Solid Movers. They came prepared with everything they needed (tons of tape, blankets, boxes, dollies) and got my move done in 3 hours. In the past, I've had to deal with finding parking, rescheduling a million times, and last minute no shows. These guys came right on time at the time I wanted, had 3 guys instead of the 2 I was expecting, and took care of everything. (Also big props to them because coming with extra guys means a shorter time they can charge me for, with the money being spread across more people). We did not move very far but it would have been near impossible to move without the help. We had two movers which was perfect for the size of our apartment. They showed up right on time and were able to wrap all of our furniture and other assorted items prone to being scratched damaged. Our couch is quite large and barely fit through the doorway but we were still able to get it into the apartment without any damage to it. The whole move took 4 hours in total with two guys. The apartment we moved out of was a two bedroom and the one we were moving into is of similar size and everything was able to fit in one truckload. read more

I had a very short time frame to move. Solid Movers were responsive from the very beginning. They had the most competitive quote that I received and they were flexible with my schedule. Junior and Mike were awesome! They were also very communicative, calling when they were caught in traffic and going into overdrive once they arrived to make up for the time. I had to move pretty unexpectedly and found myself stressed by the thought of figuring out how to get my furniture moved across the city. I was contracted with Solid Movers through Manhattan Mini Storage and I could not be happier with the service I got. I worked with Gene, Jay, Earl, Phillip & Asad and they made my move very easy and smooth. They quickly got my furniture out of my apartment, wrapped my furniture safely, and met us at the storage center. The movers were a bit late (due to the scheduled appointment before me), but they called me an hour the scheduled time to let me know and updated me when they were 10 minutes away. They had originally said 3 guys would come, but there ended up being 5 or 6! I didn't move very far, but they took all boxes/suitcases down and in the truck within an hour. It took a little over an hour for them to get everything up to my new apt (5th floor walk up!), but they stayed until I was happy with how everything was placed. These guys were awesome. Had a free two hour move with Solid from Manhattan Mini Storage. The crew showed up early, got to work straight away and hustled the whole time. No trying to time waste or tick over to the next half hour. These guys were great. The packed up our furniture and delicate loose items with as much care and respect as if they were their own. 45 mins to load up a whole apartment and another 45 or so to unload at the other end and pack into our storage unit. Solid Movers really came through. A family member died and lived in his NYC apartment for over 40 years, with 40 years worth of stuff. It was extremely overwhelming. Solid Movers contacted me, dropped off boxes on Tuesday, came back and packed the whole apartment Wednesday and moved all stuff into storage by Thursday.
